July 26...who's coming with me???

Marie,
It is Disney..sort of. It's Miramax, which Disney owns. Along with Touchstone, Hollywood Pictures, Buena Vista Pictures, Walt Disney Pictures.

Yeah!!! My DS will be so happy to hear that he will get to see SpyKids3 on the cruise.

I booked through DVC so I hope my docs come soon. I've ready many posts from other DVC members and it seems our docs sometimes take longer.

Hey all,

Just wanted to know if we want to start to think about a meet on board. I know alot of us will also be at the Raddison the night before. Also, do we want to do the green mickeys (whatever it is you do with them..)

Since i've never met on board with others let's throw some ideas out and see what seems best. From what i've read maybe setting up 2 different meets works well incase you can't make the first one you can try for the second one.

Also, call it a hunch but my DH isn't going to do tea with me. If I can get a reservation (hopefull thinking!) does anybody want to join me??

Have a great monday...only 4 more monday's to go till we have our monday on board!!!

I never quite understood the Green Mickey thing
either.

We're not going to be at the Radisson, were getting in later and a staying at the airport Hyatt. I know my kids are going to want to meet their e-mail pals Morgan (aperfecttrip) and Christopher (DisneyWorldBorntoShop) so we are up for some sort of meet on the ship.

Having never cruised before, I'm not sure what would be a good time or place to meet.

Lime green was the color that was suggested to identify Dis Board folks. Since it was an unusual color, it would be easy to find other Dis folks. The green Mickeys are just paint samples from the Disney paint at Home Depot. They are shaped into Mickey heads instead of just a plain swatch.
Alien Green is the closest to lime green.

Greetings All! Still haven't gotten our docs yet, but really don't expect them for awhile as we booked through cruise.com and was told they won't come until 2 weeks prior to sailing.

I am also thankful for being enlightened about the "green Mickey's"--have read references to it, but never fully understood until now!

I'm really not greedy, but......I'm hoping for Palo tea ressies for me & DH, as well as brunch, maybe dinner, and wine tasting. Good thing I didn't end up with the parasailing ressies as I will probably weigh too much and would have never made it up into the air!! :p Cheers!!!

Hey Dawn,

I read about you MIL on another thread. Sorry she won't be joining us. I will keep her in my prayers.

How is grandma doing? Is she ready to parasail! I can't wait.

Marie,
Unfortunately if MIL doesn't come, grandmaw won't either. It's her daughter and she insists that she needs to stay home and care for her. We are still praying for a miracle.

My MIL is coming to live here until she can get around without a wheelchair. She adores my boys and we are hoping that being around them will be the boost she needs to speed up her recovery. July 13 will be the official deciding date as to whether or not she is able to come.

The really sad part is that last summer while she was in the hospital recovering from back surgery she decided that she would go on this cruise to giver her something to look forward to.

JUst got home from the local waterpark and there was a little brown box on my front porch. I jumped out the car and ran to rip open the box. IT WAS MY CRUISE DOCUMENTS!!! YEAH:Pinkbounc

Great news!!
Still waiting here:rolleyes:
Should be here tomorrow I would hope...
Kerri

Just wanted all of you to watch for your packages. We booked through DVC and our documents arrived today. It's getting closer. Can't wait!!!!!!!!

Heard the kids squealing about "the Brown truck" coming up the drive...
Sure enough it was UPS with our docs...All the drivers must think we're nuts!!
I am glad they came today...I love getting them and reading every word. A last minute travel agent trip came up and I'm headed to Bermuda for the weekend!! My husband's about to divorce me:eek:

DISNEYWORLDBORN2SHOP: Shortly after reading your post about your MIL I received a call from my Brother to tell me my niece, Alexis, has MRSA. She is a premie baby born 16 weeks early at 1lb 7oz on March 10. She's doing very well but now is isolated due to the MRSA. The doctors are very optomistic she will be fine and we hope she will finally get to go home within the next 30 days.

KerriL: Okay your the travel agent...got a ?? on docs. Do the kids sign their own imigration forms?

I went to Home Depot with DD and we took all the alien green mickey heads......now what????

Marie,
I'll say a prayer for Alexis. MSRA is a terrible thing. After I posted about my MIL, I found out my cousin (39) died from MRSA last week. Moral of the story - Avoid hospitals if you can.

My MIL is coming home today and her infectious disease doctor seems optimistic that she may be able to make the cruise. He said one more MRI in a couple of weeks and he will give her the all clear. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Good question about the immigration forms. And do I have to fill out the payment authorization form for the kids even though they will not have charging privileges?

Excuse my ingnorance, what does MSRA stand for ?

Dawn, I can appreciate your struggles my FIL just got out of the hospital. He was in because of a severe infection in his foot.

Fortunately he is home, and is doing better.

Our thoughts are with you and your family. Hopefully your MIL and Grandma will be able to make the trip. I'd love to meet the Grandma that's willing to parasail.

I would love for everyone to meet my grandmother who is willing to parasail. They just don't make them any better than her. She is actually my DH's grandmother but I claim her for my own as I do my MIL.

I checked my calendar today and since we are heading out to WDW 3 days before the cruise, I only have 27 days until my ultimate vacation begins. WooHoo!

Marie,
Yes, the kids sign their own contract..you would need sign to the right of it also.
As far as the alien green Mickey heads go...I don't know exactly what to do with them.. Some have suggested making name tags out of them. Laminating them. I'm not sure how to affix a pin to them though.
My kids and husband have already informed me that they wouldn't be caught dead wearing them!!!:p
Kerri

Marie,
Sorry..just reread yur post. Your question was about the immigration form, not the contract.
I would think that as long as they are able to sign their own name, they can. Just be sure to fill out the rest of it yourself.
Kerri
