July 26, 2011 – 7 Night Alaska ~ Bears, Whales, Eagles and Ducks. Oh My!

I just found this board :)

This is our first Disney Cruise. I am beyond and excited. My son and I will be in one room and my parents will be in another. My son is 6 and I do not think that he has any idea what to expect on the cruise.

I have been looking at the excursions and cannot decide what to do? There are a lot of choices.

Danielle

Welcome:banana:

Palo brunch and dinner booked. :goodvibes:thumbsup2 White Pass Railway booked. We thought we could book for all that were linked with us, but nope. Those not Platinum could not be added. :sad2:

Just for kicks I checked availability for our sailing (since it was previously completely booked). Looks like there is plenty available for outside staterooms and stateroom with verandas. It appears that the inside cabins and suites are still all booked.

Angie, I want to see lots of photos from White Pass, that was a must for me!

PJ, we will post photos on FB for you!

Good news! We have added our grandson, Aaron age 11, to our reservation. He will be SO happy when he gets home from school!! :yay::woohoo:

Angie, you are going to make me cry. :( I will be missing so much, darn back to school prep!

Sounds like a recipe for an upgrade!

Brack - You're right! Although I was hoping for an upgrade to a suite.....oh well...maybe next time! :goodvibes

What do ya think?

I have two children ages 10 and 7. We will be taking the train from Seattle to Vancouver before the cruise. While on the cruise one of the excursions that the g-parents want to do is the Railroad ride through the White Pass. Do you think this will be too much time on board trains for the kids? Both kids will have their own cameras and electronic video game devices with them.

We have kids almost the same age and are looking at the train from Seattle to Vancouver and back. I'm not sure our girls would be overly excited about going on another train ride again, but the scenery is supposed to be breathtaking. If that's their kind of thing, then it might be okay.

We haven't decided what excursions to do yet - the ones I really want to do are all so expensive...:confused3

We are only gold and it is almost time for us to register online and book our excursions. So do I stay up late, wake up early, or be late for work? Decisions, descisions. Think I will stay up late?

Yep, stay up late.

I hear you on how expensive everything is! Thats one of the reasons I am considering opting out of the White Pass train ride:(

So, I've started planning (and working on) my FE gifts. I want to give too many things.....I may have to bring an additional suitcase! :)
