July 23, 2005 West Coast Cruise

It has been really hectic for me this week! I am trying to get everything organized and packed at home and trying to finish things up at work. I am in awe of you Desiree! I wish I was all packed and ready to go.

I am hoping that Hurricane Emily has passed through before we get there so that we don't have a lot of rain. It is supposed to be in central Mexico by Thursday morning, so I'm thinking we'll be OK. I am not even going to worry as I am sure we will have a fabulous time whatever comes.

Can't wait to see all of you!

We are beyond excited! My sister is arriving Friday from Az. to go on the cruise with us. And you are right, having to get things together for kids is tough! It's all the "what ifs" that you need to think of for them too.

We are ready to go though! It is a busy week for us - between getting ready to go Saturday and we have company in from out of town and are taking them to see DCA tomorrow for the day.

The only good thing for our family is that we do not need to fly in for the cruise.

Looking forward to meeting everyone on Sunday!
     4 days!

Believe me..I am shocked. I am NEVER ready this early! I don't know what happened. :confused3 I must really want to get on the boat!

Here is some pixie dust for everyone who has to get all of the loose ends tied up at work this week. Think happy cruise thoughts! :wizard:

Definitely have not had the time to get onto the computer until now. We are working hard at getting everything ready to start packing. With 3 girls and two of those being 14, it has been a challenge!!!!
We have all been getting so excited!!!! We were suppose to fly in on Saturday and just decided yesterday that we are going to leave on Friday. We are crazy for doing it but even more excited now. We just can't wait to get there!
Have you'll read the live post from the current trip---Tropical Storm Eugene is rocking the boat really good---everyone is getting sick. So I have now packed those wristbands for motion sickness.
We need all these hurricanes and stuff to clear out before we get on the boat!!!!
See you in a few days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, I need someone to help! I am trying to locate a server named Conrad from Jamaica. I believe he is still on the Magic. Could soemone please...if you locate him, find out if he will be on the Sept. 10th sailing? It's very important! He was our server on the cruise that my fiance and I met on and now we are getting married on the Sept. 10th cruise and we'd LOVE to see him!!!!!!!!

I'm packing like a crazy woman now. I know that I am probably overpacking, but I always do that. This is the first time that we have gone anywhere as a family for 7 full days and I feel like I need to take everything we own!

I can't believe it's just two more days!! :Pinkbounc :cheer2:

See you all soon! :wave2:

Well, I guess it's time I start to get things ready to pack. Don't want to start too soon or I'll keep packing.

We finished the majority of our packing today and we are also taking way to much, but oh well, a cruise is a chance to have fun and dress up if you want. :goodvibes

The way I look at it, since we do not have to fly, handling all of our luggage shouldn't be too bad. We are hoping to drive up, drop our bags at the porters and then park the car. With luck, our luggage will arrive in our room sometime. :earseek: :earseek:

I am having a hard time containing my excitement!!!

2 DAYS!!! :cool1: :cool1:

It looks like Eugene has been downgraded to a depression and is headed west with 25 mph. It's looking like Eugene will not be a factor for our cruise.

TD Emily could be another story however. I hope we don't see any rain making it's way over.

I know what you mean about taking to much. I keep thinking of things to take!

Hopefully Sat. will get here soon and I can run out of time to think of things to take.

See you in 2 days!

:jumping1: Hello there - just saw your note - have been offline for a few days trying to pack. Not doing a good job of it - haven't even started. Too many loose ends to tie up. ANYWAY - the reason for my note - Conrad was our server (for my DH and me) along with Patricia (Asst Server) on the May Repo cruise. I asked him if he was going to be on during July and he told me that barring any accidents (need I mention QUE - :sad2: ) he would be both on the July and the Aug return cruise. So..... you should be in luck, however, if you would like I can get a message across to him when we board on Saturday. I told him that I would introduce him to my kids since they didn't do the cruise with hubby and I. If so, then let me know or pm me at the name. If you'd like to get a message across to him let me know would be happy to help another cruiser. BTW, he was sweet wasn't he? Beautiful smile - told him he should never stop smiling. Good head on his shoulders too. Had some great conversations with him. Well, let me know. :wave2:

Can you believe that we leave tomorrow?
We are leaving for the airport in about 5 hours. We have so much luggage for the 5 of us!!!!!!!!!!!! I finally gave up last night and just said "we are on vacation-who cares-bring it"! The kids took forever to go to bed last night because they were just too excited. I can't imagine how it will be tonight!!!!
See you all on Saturday or Sunday!

Hi!

I hope everyone who has to fly today has a great trip! We will see you on the boat! My sister leave Phoenix in about 3 hours for our house!

The suitcases are lined up by the door. I am so excited! I can't believe it's here.

See everyone Sat or Sun!

I think I will miss everyone at the cruise meet. I will be in the spa getting a facial. If I get out in time I may swing by and see if anyone is around. I am not anywhere near done packing so I am off to work on that. I am in Huntington Beach and it is in the high 80's today - it is never this hot usually 70's. Hopefully we will have nice weather on the cruise.

Anyway, hope to see all at the meeting. See ya later - Laura

Well finally made it top deck and weather is nice not too overcast and not too windy on deck 10. Hope that the fact that the dolphins were headed in the opposite direction doesn't forbode bad. Hope all are well and will keep in touch. Headed off for our meeting now. Ta ta -

P.S. - no trouble yet in getting online. But that's before kids know I bought pkg. :teeth:

I know you are all busy having fun on the Magic, but please keep posting weather reports, etc. as I have my 2 daughters & 3 granddaughters on your Cruise & I know that they won't get the internet package so I will be happy reading all of your reports.
Thanks, Joyce but they all call me Pata - so when you here Pata mentioned you know it is my crew. ;) :goodvibes :bounce: :flower3:

Anyway, tonight was formal night and everyone looked fantastic! ::yes:: I will certainly keep posting and letting you know what the weather is like. I will definately keep an ear out for Pata - do you know what seating they are on? My family is on second seating but you never know - this is after not that big a ship. Some of the coincidences are amazing. Anyway, will write tomorrow. Good night all - Laura
