The tyres were set alight on the approaches to the Eurotunnel terminal
Eurotunnel has warned of "significant disruption" to services if burning tyres on the motorway in Calais are not removed by French police.

Ferry workers had set fire to tyres on the road leading to the port to try and block the entrance to the Eurotunnel terminal, the company said.

Traffic from Folkestone on the cross-Channel rail service is not being affected, Eurotunnel said.

Day return passengers have been advised to reschedule their journeys.

French police told the BBC protesters would end their blockade at 12:00 BST.

Eurotunnel tweeted: "The protesters have now left the motorway, but A16 from Calais remains closed as the authorities work to remove the [blockage]."

Passengers are experiencing delays, a spokesman for the company said.

Eurotunnel has advised those unable to access the Coquelles Eurotunnel terminal from the Calais direction to use a diversion which has been put in place from the Boulogne direction.

Waitrose, Marks and Spencer, Tesco, Asda, Sainsburys.

All in London everywhere try a large store not an extra or express.

Dover has Asda and Waitrose close and a big Tesco near the Ramada.

Welcome to London

Yes times are a changing, Cambridge comes first.
Agree.
Thanks so much for the advice. We are staying in Ealing. We have been out sightseeing all day in Central London. So excited for tomorrow.

Looks like a few options in Ealing depending where your hotel is. Both Tesco express and Sainsburys local near Ealing Broadway or a full Sainsburys a bit further down Uxbridge road

Drove down the A2/M2 it was fine, but the Motorway gantry signs were directing all HGVs ( trucks) down M20 - it wasn't closed but clearly there controlling it to bring Stack back in if required. If coming by road try to use A2/M2.

Hoping for a clear run tomorrow as from here M20 is preferred route, but leaving plenty of time to detour if required. See you all at the terminal!

Omgosh! That's terrible.

Awaghorn and Disney Fantasy thanks you so much!! Your advice saved us money. We found a Sainsbury and stocked up :).

Can't wait to step on board and cruise the Baltic. :).

We took Southeastern train from Waterloo East to Dover this afternoon- no problems! We are excited to see everyone on the Magic tomorrow!

I have met so many nice people on the ship today thank you thank you thank you all.

Doug I responded on your wife's FB.

I want to say on behalf of Janet and myself, how pleased we were with all the wonderful gifts we found in our Fish Extenders, the variety and work that went into many of them blew us away.i was particularly pleased for Janet as she suffered losing most of her belongings in a house fire this time last year, including many of her beloved Disney mementos and she is still waiting for her house to be finished rebuilding. You all certainly gave a both a lot of Disney Magic. Only disappointment was there was not a pirate party for the adults but I hope the children still enjoyed their bits of pirate booty all the same

Thank you to everyone to those in the FE group in which our family was included. We loved our surprises! We brought everything home; however, ate some along the way of the cruise. We, also, want to thank Paul for arranging the shuttle bus from the Park Plaza County Hall to the Port of Dover as well as the recommendation for a private transfer. Our trip was amazing and just adjusting to jet lag and PST time zone so that I can go back to work today.

We hope to see you all again soon!

Just a shot in the dark.....did anyone by any chance end up with an extra pin or 2 for our itinerary they would be willing to sell? I went to buy one for ourselves and my MIL/SFIL and they were sold out. :worship: Haven't seen any show up on Ebay yet, so I thought I'd try here! T.I.A. :sunny:

They ran out the first morning. I went by in the am and none were out. They said at that time there were about 10 behind the counter so I was able to get one.

Have you tried posting on the threads for the earlier Baltic cruise? Maybe since they bought them all someone has one to spare. @pennymike
