Lol! my son and I are the ones who said his to you at baggage claim! :) We had breakfast at the hotel then a shorter nap before heading out. Mostly hung out in Hyde park area, Harrods, etc. tomorrow we will hit it hard. My guys have a few days post cruise to catch what we missed.

Jet-lag East wards, ie USA>>UK is the worst, going West with the sun is better.

  • Set watches to UK time.
  • Try to eat to UK time.
  • Avoid booze / drink water.
  • Go out in the sun The bright day.
  • Whilst tired, avoid sleeping during the day as you stay on USA time.

Weather update....

Dover Air from South West will be warm. Dry in Dover.
Thursday North Sea, during the afternoon we could have a cold snap, its a plume of air coming down from the North, So be prepared, and later we may ahve rain before we approach Denmark. In Copenhagen we should be back out of the cool air, its the top of the North Sea and top of Zelaand.

We just got in this morning. Our BA flight was delayed 2 hours due to some mechanical isdue with the plane.

We are now staying in Canary Wharf. We went out and found great things for the Fish Extenders.

Then, we went shopping, visited the roof garden and are now crashing.

So tired! See you all in 3 days!

The people authorized to use the cabana will receive a wristband, identifying them as cabana guests. I don't know what Disney would do if they found you were purposely trying to get around the guest number limits, but why set yourself up for something that could be a negative experience. Since the cabanas on serenity Bay are not in a completely separate area like the ones on the family beach, perhaps your friends could have a group of chairs and umbrellas in front of your cabana. That way you could still enjoy time together.

Getting ready to board our plane! So excited to be London-bound!!!

Getting ready to board our VA flight. London here we come

Welcome to London.

We shopped and packed all weekend, then last night was spend cutting out magnets and printing boarding passes. We are headed to the airport this afternoon and will be in London tonight. Hopefully we will be enjoying a pint and Fish and Chips this evening. We will sightsee a bit tomorrow and buy wine for the ship.

Enjoyed our 1st day in London. Lots to see tomorrow. Any tips on where to pick up a few bottles (or more) of wine for cruise? Also wanting to get a bottle of vodka. Thanks for all the help!

Well we survived the overnight flight and managed to stay awake until bedtime. Then we have been all over London the past 3 days and had a great time. Heading to Dover tomorrow by train.

Welcome everyone! So exciting to see what everyone is doing.

So, we took the DLR to Tower Gateway and got on the Original Tour Red line.

We visited the oldest pub in London Ye Olde Cheese.

Went into visit St. Paul's cathedral, and caught the water taxi back to Canary wharf. We saw so many historical sites.

Then, we ate dinner at Obica Mozzarella Bar in Canary Wharf.

Now, we are headed to bed for another day to visit the British museum.

Safe travels!

Actually due to various circumstances it will be, For example, DD can't go she is studying at Cambridge, She isn't going with us next year, DS is the same, Post 2016, we have outgrown it now.
I can relate. Our oldest DD is not woth us, because she is taking a summer program at University of California in Santa Cruz and working.

We are sad, but we know that they must grow up.

Are you after anything specialist? If not then any half decent supermarket (Tesco, Sainsburys etc) is fine although the smaller ones in central London (Tesco express or Sainsburys local) will have more limited range and potentially higher prices. If you want something more fancy there are a fair few more upscale wine merchants around - where are you staying?

Waitrose, Marks and Spencer, Tesco, Asda, Sainsburys.

All in London everywhere try a large store not an extra or express.

Dover has Asda and Waitrose close and a big Tesco near the Ramada.

Yes times are a changing, Cambridge comes first.

Hope to see you at some point DisneyFantasy. You have been so helpful on this thread and generous with advice, pictures and experience.

We arrived London SatAM, and have been touring dutifully since. Harry Potter tour was very good, but I could use a "Sea Day".

Doug & Adrienne.
Doug and Adienee you are both very nice people and here from the very start, I am sure I will see you on Wednesday.
