The pool service is pretty limited but room service is a great idea. Does anyone remember how extensive the room service menu is? Anyone happen to have a photo?

Just noticed this for Wonder - http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/ships-activities/ships/wonder/dining/room-service/menu/. There's no equivalent detail for the Magic but I'm guessing it's pretty close.

I'm pretty sure the room service menus are the same on each ship since they're printed inside the hard-cover cruise book found in the desk drawer.

We've gotten pretty creative with food options on the longer cruises. We pack our favorite sundae toppings (nuts, chocolate syrup, marshmallows, sprinkles) to put on the soft serve ice cream. DH makes floats with Coke and vanilla ice cream. I sometimes fill a plate with salad toppings and then use ranch dressing with bacon crumbled on top for a dip. It's also easy to make sandwiches using rolls and ham/roast beef from the carving stations. I also make BLT's with bacon and toast from from Cabanas with lettuce, tomato, and mayo from the pool deck quick service. Diversions in the adult area has hot snack food out throughout the day and an assortment of cheeses and fruit in the late evenings. There's a pretty good variety of salads, paninis, and fruit on the pool deck, too.

Hello everyone!

I haven't logged in since April of last year. I have several months to catch up.

We finalized our flights, hotel arrangements, travel to Dover (thanks to Celestine and Paul), Buying Oyster tickets, Original London Tour tickets, and trying to firm up plans what do do on the 20th and 21st.

We are very excited and hope that everyone is excited, too!!! :)

Love the new look of the forum.

See everyone soon!

Last month, I learned that La Compagnie services Newark, NJ to London (not LHR) $1500 round trip. All the seats are business class. They only offer 1 plane per day. We wanted to book this, but we would have to find a flight that goes to Newark from SFO.

However, we found great direct flight options from SFO to LHR on BA; and my DH booked his free with his airline miles.

Looking forward to seeing everyone.

1. Pick up points will be confirmed, once I know where everyone is staying in London. There will be a final Central London pick up point (should you oversleep etc..) that gives you a second chance to catch the coach. Everybody got to Port OK in 2010 and there was about 70 of us....

2. Time of departure will be about 09:00ish and we got to Port in time for first boarding in 2010.

3. Currently I have a list for London - Dover, we are doing back to back cruises so staying on to Barcelona. However, I am organising a coach for the 3rd August Dissers to Dover. If there is enough interest I will organise a return to Airports/London, people will have to let me know or Ii can help with smaller groups doing private transfers.

Hope that answers a few questions for all....:thumbsup2
Hi!

If you are still organizer a transfer from Dover to London, we are interested. We are catching the afternoon BA direct flight back from LHR to SFO.

Thanks!

I love these ideas - anyone else have "meal-hacking" tips?

There sure is! :thumbsup2 So far, we have 22 cabins participating! :cool1:

I'm having a hard time figuring out where to send a private message. Is the group still open?

Hi and :welcome:

Yes, it sure is!

I'm sorry - this website was recently changed and I forgot to test out the old directions for sending a "private message" to see if they still worked. I will definitely change the first page to reflect the new directions. In the meantime, here's what to do:

Click on my name ("Deb T." in blue font) in the little box on the left
Click on “Start a Conversation” (in white font)
Type a “Conversation Title” (ie. FE Exchange)
Under the row of icons, type your message
Click “Start a Conversation” under your message to send it

Not sure what I'm not seeing. I'm new to this site, so I'm just learning. I don't see the 'start conversation' link. I'm sorry!

No problem. I see the problem now... you have only posted three times on the DIS Boards, and you need ten posts before you are able to send private messages.

So, let's see if we can get your post count up! :) Will this be your first Disney cruise?

It looks as though mfams just ran through a shower of **pixie dust** and now has enough posts to send/receive a PM (now called "Conversation"). There will be a link at the upper right on every page to your "Inbox" and you can click on any username and a link to "Start a conversation" will be available. In addition, you will then be able to upload images and have links in your signature.

Enjoy! :)

Awww. Thanks, Doc! That was super nice!

mfams, I'll send you a Private Message that you can just reply to. Look for it at the top of this page, next to your name, and click on "Inbox". :thumbsup2

Hi, we're going on this cruise too. Would love to be on the exchange list. We're in stateroom 7510. There are 4 of us, Karen 48, Emily 27, Lorelei 9 and Aria 9. All of us are females. I would like to be in the no more than 20 group. I hope this gets to the right place.
