Is there a Fish Extender for this cruise yet???

Links to Cruise Meet discussion/Fish Extenders other than those on the DIS may not be posted or offered by any other means (PM, email, "search" directions).
Many, many Cruise Meet threads here on the DIS are being used successfully for FE programs. Apparently, those organizing for this cruise thus far have chosen to do that elsewhere, but anyone is welcome to organize another.

Cruise Meet threads are doing just fine still managing meet and FE discussions right here on the DIS as they have since FE began (also here on the DIS). :)

FE organizers generally need to know how many people (adults/children) are participating in each cabin with child ages for age appropriate gift giving. Other information you would like to share such as names, allergies, favorite characters, etc. is up to you. Other personal information is not really necessary. Those organizing FEs typically ask for the information to be posted in the meet thread or sent to them via PM.

Feel free to start one. There is plenty of time to organize one here.

Merry Christmas!! Enjoy!

Hello! Now that it is officially 2015 we are getting excited about this cruise!

I was wondering if there are any teens out there who want to connect with my daughters prior to the cruise so they can get to know some friends beforehand. I have a DD 13 and a DD 16. PM me and let me know and we can figure out the best way to get them connected.

Can't wait!!!

Our daughter, Hannah, will be 13 in three months and would love to text/email/facetime with kids before the cruise as well. We've done it before and it has worked out great.

I'll PM you and we can work out the details.

And the more the merrier if any others want in too :)

I'm starting to put together some DIY itineraries for Copenhagen, Stockholm, and Helsinki (haven't gotten to Tallinn yet) and was wondering just how many others we were going to run into on our days! :rotfl2: What things are people planning for these ports? Here's what I have tenatively scheduled out:

Copenhagen Day 1: DIY North Zealand castles tour (Train to Fredriksborg Castle, Train to Kronborg Castle, Train back to port area) - might try to hit Tivoli in the evening to see it with the lights on.
Copenhagen Day 2: Canal boat tour, Tivoli, Stroget
Stockolm: Bus to Vasa, Walk to Skansen, bus to Gamla Stan, Rick Steve's Gamla Stan walk
Helsinki: ?? Still working on it. I kind of want to see the Rock Church, and DH is interested in Suomenlinna. I'm tempted to take it easy and just wander the Market Square and areas since we'll have so much touring behind and ahead of us!

We're planning on getting the Copenhagen Card and the Stockholm Card - both include public transit and entrance to the places we're looking at going. The Helsinki card is tempting, but we might not use it enough to make it worthwhile.

Your itinerary looks great! :thumbsup2

I'm so grateful to have two days in Copenhagen! It was one of our ports in 2010, but only for one day. There is soooooo much to see and do there! The Vasa is amazing, although I have to admit that the re-created sailor heads creeped me out. Stroget Street is good for a nice stroll, lots of upper-end shops. We didn't make it to Tivoli but hope to spend some time there this time.

In Helsinki, we saw the Rock Church. Try not to miss Sibelius Monument, it is very unique and fun. :)

The DISboards have been quiet, but I thought I would check in! Here's what we've got planned:
Copenhagen Day 1: canal tour and Tivoli
Copenhagen Day 2: see the castle that's in Copenhagen (is it Kronberg maybe?)
Stockholm: Vasa and Skansen!
Helsinki: I think we'll take the ferry over to Suomenlinna
Tallinn: Old Town

We've got a 7 and 11 year old, so I try to "under schedule"-- we just pick 1-2 things and if we can do anything else great, but if not, we're good!

Yes, I need to check them out. I've got a list of things we'd like to do in SPB and it probably doesn't fit in with the "standard" tours.

They will "custom" them for you, they have for me I have dropped some places and added others as I have been before. I have the Faberge museum and a night Private boat tour added for example.

In case you haven't noticed a few more tours for St Petersburg have been added to the DIsney site. I know many are doing their own thing but a couple of interesting options including an evening one at the Hermitage which should miss what I hear are big crowds.

Yes seen those been added we have been discussing them, I am booked on a private tour both days to get more in, see more, and be cheaper then DCL taking advantage of the drop of the Russian Ruble at this time.

Dining question - on our last 14-day cruise we got pretty tired of the nightly pageantry around dining. Felt like the food was the same and too much of it. Aside from in-port dining during overnight dockings, what do people do on-board to mix it up a bit?

Last Baltic cruise there were many speciality menus which kept everything fresh, and with our Pirate night I'm not sure what type of menu. All Frozen foods?, Norwegian food?

We always say that we're going to mix it up by eating some meals in Cabanas but then we end up enjoying our tablemates so much that we eat in the main dining rooms every night. There is always the option of room service or quick service on the pool deck.
