I do the same thing. My experience has been that I find the best prices in the fall for the next summer's airfare. Most airlines open booking about 11 months in advance and I start checking prices immediately. You can test your theory by checking prices now in those date ranges and see what you find.
From the UK the best time seems to be as soon as booking opens they just seem to go up after that. If you need specific dates and times you may have to pay a lot more if you book later

Finally back after 2 weeks in a grey, wet, foggy Newcastle & am now attempting too catch up so apologies if I duplicate. There are several good walking guide books (my favourite is walk london (a pit kin guide)) and also some trails funded by transport for london. These include rural river thames (Hampton Court to Albert Bridge), heart of river thames ( albert bridge to london bridge), seafaring london (tower bridge to greenwich) and working river thames (thames barrier to crayford ness)
What were you doing in a wet, foggy Newcastle? Fortunately we were away in Orlando and then on the Disney Fantasy. Back now cold but bright!

We have just joined this group and are fro the UK too - north of England

:welcome: val102uk! :flower3:

Hi everyone,

I have just booked this cruise:cool1:.

This will be our 4th Disney cruise but the first time we have been to the Baltic region.
Our party consists of:

Me (Sheree)
DH (David)
DD (Laura - will be 8 at time of sailing)

Looking forward to getting to know everyone and I think I recognise some names from the Med cruise from last year.

:welcome: honeybear66! :cheer2:

Hi all!

I've noticed that most people have their idefaults to include all of the previous message when replying. Another list in which I participated people have disabled this, because it makes a list longer and it can be harder to read when there are long quotes with relies interspersed. This is especially true on the mobile app (as I am finding out). If you're willing, please consider disabling that and only quoting someone when you really need to do so in the reply. I think it will make it easier to read and not require us to go into five different threads like we had to for the transatlantic crossing.

Thanks!

Hi val102uk!

When you do a quick reply, there is a checkbox - "Quote message in reply?". Just unselect it.

I'm always looking for new ideas, especially when it's a big trip like this one! ::yes:: Currently, I have a Word document that's already 50 pages long where I'm able to quickly add (cut & paste) any interesting info I come across on the Internet (mostly great info that's already been shared here!), as well as keep track of the FE Exchange participant info and the "1st page" updates. I also have all of our important travel info typed into this document and a lengthy "to-do" list where I can just delete items as they are completed. In addition, I have an accordion folder for loose papers such as confirmations and cruise docs, our passports, Disney gift cards, etc. How do you keep track of everything?

Thanks Adrianene couldn't find a box to deselect perhaps it's because I am using iPad and not computer.

Just off the Fantasy on Saturday and have booked this Cruise already, tried to join FB page but don't have enough posts yet, really looking forward to this cruise this will be our 11th, another bonus we are in the UK so only a 60 to 90 min drive from my house yay xx

Deb T-- Wow!!! You are soooo organized!!!! I don't really have anything started for the 2015 cruise at this point, but I try to start organizing things about 6-9 months out. We are going to Seattle/ ONP in June and I have a folder with all of my lodging reservations, maps, hiking trails and tidal pool charts. I also print out a daily itinerary (more or less, it's pretty flexible usually). For our big family trip to London/ Barcelona this summer, I have a 1-inch binder filled with all sorts of info..... reservations, maps, menus, some activity books I downloaded for the kids, some stuff I downloaded for TripAdvisor, etc. I like to make photo books of our trips when we get back and so then I can look through my binder and add details about the places we visited.

Thanks for the welcome I always make a photo book up of my cruises can't wait to start doing last weeks cruise

Hello to you all

How do you keep track of everything?

Ideas in advance of travel are mostly kept in a separate directory and to do items kept in a list on my smartphone.

For travel I also use a compilation document with a section for each day. This includes hotel details including booking references, phone numbers and addresses; travelling arrangements including booking details; references for any booked trips; places and activities of interest inc. URLs; currency exchange bookings; passport details; health / travel insurance; emergency contacts / phone numbers and phone chargecard details (but not pin); driving licence details.

This document is carried on my / DW smartphones, paper copy, and also left with our parents so they know where we are and what we are doing. In an emergency they could tell me what I should be doing!

When we get back we also produce photo books which are a lovely record of our highlights, places and activities; these are excellent memory banks.

Hi you were in our FB group from last weeks cruise, sorry we didn't get to meet you. We are going on the Baltic Cruise ( Chris, Valerie, Lewis and Elliot.

It will be great to meet you this time. I did see Elliot almost everyday but would love to formally meet all of you. This time my family will come over early and sightsee.
