We are planning to do it on our own after the tour on Friday. It's open late so we may grab something to eat there. The tours seem really high compared to doing it on your own.

Hi All,

Hello from Northern California! I just found this thread. Tons of great ideas in here!

We booked our cruise nearly a year ago, but we keep changing the room category so I don't think we have a room assigned yet. We are a family of 4, Sherri - Mom, Brian - Dad, 15 year old daughter who turns 16 on the cruise and our 11 year old son. We are doing the Adventures by Disney stay in London before the cruise and staying an extra day in London after to see a show. This is our 8th Disney cruise and can't wait to sail the North Sea and Baltic with all of you!

Brian

Thanks for the warm welcome. :) Would love any suggestions or advice on what is a must see - ouside of England these are all new places for us.

Research each port' all bar St Petes you can go DIY your near the city or like Helsinki there is a shuttle, look at DCL tours again bar St Petes.

St Petes a private tour like Anastasia is far better to get two full days of sightseeing in at a cheaper price.

We went in 2010 so ask away. But research is king.

Welcome.

Hello. :) I don't stop by here very often, only because I don't get "alerts", when there is a new post. I receive notification on the other threads I post on, but not this one, and I forgot to come and check.

We are good and plans are almost final. We will catch up soon. :)

I am awaiting news of the Princess name!

I am hoping for Alice Elizabeth as that's my daughters name, ( and she is in Cambridge by connection).

I'm researching the Tivoli Gardens. Definitely want to go there for the day. I'm comparing the "Tivoli All Inclusive Experience" offered by Disney at $229 Adults/$249 Kids USD VS. the "All Inclusive" package offered on the Tivoli Gardens website for approx $73 Adults/$50 Kids USD. The latter obviously doesn't include any transport to/from the ship, but if figure we can easily take a taxi or public transport. I also see Disney's package includes a guided historical tour and early entrance. How much earlier is it.... sounds like Disneyland "Magic Mornings".

Are there any other major differences I'm missing?
The bus from the port drops you off outside Tivoli (cost is 24DKK/person). I did not do the early entry thing last time, but a family we know did. We saw them leaving as we were arriving, so I'm guessing that they had about an hour in there before general admission. TBH the worst crowds were to get in!

Coach update
Info. packs are going out today. Please check them and let me know if you have any questions, or something appears to be incorrect. If you have not received your email by tomorrow morning, please let me know. For anyone new to the thread, there re still a few spaces left on the Baltic Buccaneer bus from London to Dover on July 22. Please e-mail balticbuccaneers@mail.com for further details.

Disney Fantasy, good to see you are starting to imprint the coach sign into the coach travellers brains....

Paul/ Celestine will answer re the coach, it's a good location to tour London just out North West to the West End, on the Bakerloo tube line, ( Kilburn High road Stan closer than Madia Vale,) and near Paddington for Heathrow Express, but I think a lot of the hotels others have chosen are more near the river, Waterloo area, Southbank.

And I am going there Wednesday.

Yes, many are staying in the Southbank area, but there is also another group of us clustered in the Notting Hill area!

I see we are coming down to 76 days and will be at the 75 day last window for new cruisers to book very soon. Good luck.

Only 79 days left to our cruise ... 74 days until we travel! Tick tock tick tock ... vacation can't come quickly enough! :)

:hourglass

Hello again! We're first time cruisers, so have to wait until May 8 to book some of these lovely excursions. I'm having problems logging onto my DisneyCruise account ... does anyone happen to know off-hand when booking will begin on the 8th for newbies?
:thanks:
