July 22, 2012 5 Night Bahamian Cruise

Driving my children crazy with dis music :)

:thumbsup2 My DD is happily crossing off days on the calendar, counting down our vacation!!! Shopping for FE gifts with my DD because she has to approve every gift...it has to be something she would like to receive as well!
1 more week until we go on vacation!:dance3:

Well our group of 8 are leaving from Vancouver, Canada and driving down to Seattle (about 3 hrs)after work on the 19th. We fly out ay 7:30am on the 20th. We won't get into Orlando till 7:30pm with time difference and connections. Staying overnight at the Holiday Inn then off to Discovery Cove for the day. After Discovery Cove we drive out to Cape Canaveral and stay at the Radisson. Next morning BOARD DISNEY DREAM:yay:. After the cruise we go to the Radisson again and depending on how we feel we either hang out at the hotel or rent a car and go to Sea World. Come back to the Radisson stay overnight then BOARD DISNEY FANTASY:cool1:. After the Eastern Caribbean cruise we are back at the Radisson to hang for the day. Fly back home on Aug 5th.:(

Well ....you might be homesick after all that time at sea.....

Bwahahwhwaaaa!

We're at the Hyatt Regency. We'd love to see if anyone else is there, or at a nearby hotel the night before.

We'll be at our Marriott timeshare home resort starting on the 19th and driving to PC the morning of our cruise.

Will officially pack very soon, decide which dresses to wear to semi formal and to Remy, order my scop patch for seasickness, and print out confirmation letters for rental cars, hotels, and other reservations.

See you all at the terminal at 11am next Sunday!

I have a question maybe someone can help me with. In regards to theme nights, I have read in posts that in 2011 Pirate Night was typically held on the day we visit Nassau whick for our cruise would be the 3rd night. However I could swear I read -somewhere- that this year for our cruise Pirate Night would be held on the the 4th night, the day at sea. I just can't remember where. Does anyone have any insight to this or have read something similar? Thanks very much for your input.

When I was making the reservations at day 105, the calendar was showing it on day 4, you told me it would probably be day 3 when we left Nassau way back then!! Now on the online calendar it shows up on Day 3 and not day 4... So either they moved it or it is/was a mistake...

Clear as mud!!

I have now made a Remy res. for the at sea night because I was unable to move the Palo one from Day 3 (which I have now canceled) So if they change it again, there's gonna be some 'splainin to do!!! (That is a Ricky & Lucy reference for you younger whipper-snappers!!)

Hi all I'm a first time cruiser so excited to bring my son 12 and dd 9 on their first cruise too; slightly nervous . We would love to join the FE group if not too late thanks, Mary
any folks out there know about a coffee card at cove??

Hi,
I am hoping that ScreenWriter can tell us more about the second FE group. We can still do it for a smaller group - it will be fun for the kids. Our DD (10) is excited to make new friends.

ScreenWriter, can you please guide us for the next step? Thanks.

Screnwriter, Sorry for mis-spelling your alias in the previous email. Hope to hear from you about the second FE group.

Does anyone know the size of the private navigator forms? My daughter and I made placemats out of the ship maps, printed on 11x17 card stock, laminated at the office supply store. Cost less than $2 each, and we love 'em. Thought we'd take a couple of private navigators and laminate them for more placemats. Maybe getting them signed by the Characters.

Patrick

8 days, folks!

I got a coffee card last year on the Wonder, with my daughter we used the card - it was buy 4 get 5, punch your card deal... This cruise is to hot weather though and I can't see using that many hot drinks?? I do remember thinking the coffee was very good there though!!

I wish they had a Pina Colada card for this cruise!!

Thank you I drink an insane amount of hot beverages but there's always room for a piña colada. Do u think they have mickey umbrellas?? Can't wait

Bless your heart, is there anyway you can wind down a day or two before the BLT trip? If not, stop and de-stress when you get there!! We might see you around there - we are also at the BLT starting Monday!! Maybe we can meet up for a drink or a dole whip!! :wave2:

Drinks (or a dole whip) would be great!!

Don't fret too much!

Remember, kids are flexible and require very little when staying with loved ones. Also, you don't want to overpack anyway! The ship has laundry services that are very reasonable. We plan on having clothes laundered while onboard and probably have some pressed. Make a list of the most important stuff (passport, cash) and screw the rest.

Hey, if you're missing something while onboard I'm sure we or one of the group will be able to hook you up. You're part of our crew.;)

Look at it as an adventurous, free-wheeling good time!:rotfl:

Well, I made it!! We left a little late yesterday morning, but we got to my mom's house at about 12:30am this morning. We've only forgotten a few things, and a friend has a key to our house and is mailing them to BLT. Of course, I didn't forget anything. Val did. :rotfl: I have to give him a bad time because of it, but I'm just thankful that we haven't thought about anything that was on MY list that we forgot. Yet. :lmao:

We are starting our trip off VERY relaxing! I had lunch today with my sisters and nieces, tomorrow my mom, sisters, and I are shopping all day (sans kids), and then Sunday and Monday are going to be fun, relaxing days.

Oh yeah, and we bought airfare for Saturday morning. It was MUCH less expensive than flying out on Friday, and we are going to splurge and stay at AOA Friday night. Even though we have to leave the hotel by about 4:15am Saturday morning, we still want to experience the new resort.

Now, if someone could just tell me where to stay the night before the cruise, then we'd be set.

Guys, I can't wait!! 1 week from tomorrow night, we'll all be doing our last minute packing and getting really excited! Wait! I'm ALREADY really excited!!
