July 22, 2012 5 Night Bahamian Cruise

We have the second seating. As a matter of fact we have only ever done late seating. Just love the relaxed atmosphere. No hurry to finish, plus more time for fun during the day.

Tami, yes if you have late seating your show are while the early diners are eating. Then the switch vice-versa. It's a very efficient system I think.

BTW - Belated Happy Mothers' Day ladies!

Late seating is at 8pm right? I think the last time I called DCL that was the time given to me. The early show is at 615pm. We usually snack throughout the day :rolleyes1, so we make sure that DD isn't starving that late. We also enjoyed late seating on our last Disney cruise. I like to relax and take a breather not to mention a nice long enough shower after coming back on port days.

What excursions have you guys booked? I've only booked Parasailing in CC. We're booking Comfort Inn while in Nassau to have access to Atlantis' amenities. Our goal is to ride the Aquaduck as many times as we can, parasail in CC, Remy for dinner, Atlantis, and to enjoy CC.

Whoa! I'm glad we don't have an FE with 50 staterooms (been reading the boards again!) :surfweb: I can't imagine having to lug another piece of luggage just for FE's!

We're planning on running the Castaway 5k the first stop at CC, then we have an open air massage sched later that afternoon. I believe we're booked for the snorkling catamaran for the second CC visit. I think those are the only "excursions" we have planned. We'll sign up for some tastings when we get on board and will have those times available at the Meet n Greet if anyone wants to join us. :thumbsup2 The rest of our reservaions are dining stuff onboard. We do plan on joining in some of the other activities and such but you don't book those ahead of time. That and a good bit of lounging at the beach, cocktails, and a bit of shopping. It's always a good idea to have some free time so you can do things you didn't know was available.

..ooooo and naps...lots of naps......

Diana,

Our Meet-N-Greet is Sunday at 3:00pm on Deck 3 in the D-Lounge. If for some unknown reason, the D-Lounge is not open or is full, we will switch to the Vista Cafe which is on the same deck.

Your right it does seem as if many of us have early check-in times at port. I think I counted 6 of the 9 who have said their times are 11:00-11:30. I am just wondering how we would find each other in the port crowds?

Thanks Jay and Pauline for your information regarding early/late dinner seatings.

Pauline, I totally agree with you regarding the number of families in our FE. Some of the other groups that have 50+ just seems overwhelming to me. Honestly, I don't know if I would participate in something like that. For me, I would have a hard time getting all that together.

Our excursions are - The teen wild side for my kids on the second CC day. Bikes on CC and Palo Brunch at 10:30 for Bob and I. We have not planned on anything in Nassau, we will just sightsee and shop. Perhaps we will head over to Atlantis and "look around". We basically leaving open most of our time so that we can just be together. My FIL lives with us. He is 93 and needs constant care. While we would not have it any other way, time with just the four of us is very limited, so we will take advantage of that with not many "pre-planned activities".

Oh yeah, and we will plan on attending the Adult only FE meeting, whenever that will be.

I agree 100% and am very glad we're closing the list at 45 days, with exceptions upon unanimous agreement up until 30 days out. This is especially true considering shipping/ luggage costs. Not to mention this is the first time out with the FE program for many of us. It's going to be lots of fun!

We still haven't set any formal plans for a FE coctail party yet but I'll come up with some suggestions in the near future for the group to weigh in on.

Have a good afternoon. Haaaaaar! pirate:

I'm at the Disneyland Hotel for the weekend! Dinner and Dance Fundraising for our school tonight here at the Grand Ballroom. The pillows on our bed says "a dream is a wish your heart makes, when you're fast asleep" cute! Disneyland CM's not as nice as DCL CMs. But oh well...

Hope you had a good time.

Sorry you had to "suffer through" the service there. :lmao:

I'm finished :cool1:

Got an 11:00-11:30 arrival time
:dance3::dance3:

Diana, hope things are going better than before.

I must admit I was really worried that it would be much more involved than it was. I'm just glad I read all the posts regarding online check-in. I had all my ducks in a row thanks to the DISers.

Now off to bed!!!!!

Yeah, we have the same boarding as well. I have been so busy at work, and haven't had much time to get on the Dis Board. I was lucky enough to get the 11 am boarding and excursions we wanted, as well. Is anyone going to Atlantis?? just two months away, so can't wait. Hope everyone is well! Now I need to get started on the FE gifts, this should be fun. :cool1:

Woot! Party at the terminal...or at least by the pool!:cool1:
Tonya, we're doing Atlantis, but we're thinking of booking a room at Comfort Inn to get access to Atlantis. Did you book your Atlantis through Disney?
3 more weeks of school!!

The booking a comfort inn room is a slick idea for Atlantis. While we're not going there this time we have been before. The building is impressive to say the least and a lot of fun just to walk around and marvel at the scale.

I have not been on disboards in a little while but I just saw the posting on Atlantis. We ended up booking Atlantis through Disney. I thought the Comfort Inn was a great idea We called the comfort inn (the Sheraton has the same deal if you book then you get into Altantis too) The problem we had was that my parents are also traveling with us. The room only includes access for 4 people into Atlantis so we were going to get one room and then just buy an extra ticket to Altantis when we got there but we were told that they only sell a certain amount or have only a certain amount of people so I did not want to take a chance regardless:upsidedow.

Aaaahhhh thanks for that info about Sheraton. Yes, it's only for 4 ppl. There are only 3 of us. I have to look at the map to see how far the Sheraton is from Atlantis.

Hello everyone! Jumping in on the party! Our family of 4 plus MIL,SIL and Niece will be sailing on this cruise. This is our 3rd Disney Cruise :cloud9: and the first time on the Dream. Looking to have a great time. We sailed two years ago on the Wonder during the same time period in July and the weather was picture perfect!! Hoping for the same! :wizard:

We have early seating and will be doing the Blue Lagoon Sea Lion Adventure in Nassau. I didn't feel like just wandering around Nassau, but thought this would be a good way to show the in-laws part of the island.

We are flying in on 7/21 from St. Louis and staying at the Courtyard Marriott in Cocoa Beach for the day/night before heading to port on Sunday. We have an 11:00 check-in time, but I discovered the Travelynx service from the Marriott's first pickup is 11:00. Oh well....By the time we arrive, the lines should be moving onboard!

Looking forward to a great cruise!:woohoo:

Welcome Kandekarleen and Pooh93!

Kandekarleen- I have a DD8 also. This is only our 2nd Disney Cruise. The last time we cruised was when she turned 4 on Disney's Magic. The big difference about this time around is that I don't think I'll be packing anymore Disney Princesses outfits for her:sad1:

We've tried Palo on our last cruise, so I've booked Remy this time around since we'll be celebrating our 10th year Anniversary onboard

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

This is still kandekarleen and we would like to add another stateroom to the FE exchange.
Our fellow cruisers would like to join...

Welcome to the new comers. Glad to have you aboard.

:dance3::dance3:THURSDAY, June 7th, is the OFFICIAL CUT-OFF DATE for participating in the July 22nd FISH EXTENDER event.:dance3::dance3::dance3:

I will send out an updated list on Friday. Then everyone can finalize their gifts.

It is getting closer. At this point I am not sure if that is a good thing or if I am getting scared :scared1: of the things I still have to accomplish before that

Have a good week everyone.

I know what you mean!!! All the last minute preperations for the cruise is coming upon me and I am getting a bit overwelmed. Not only for this cruise but we have another one on the Fantasy on the 27th. PLus the organization of 8 people in three staterooms. All new clothes are bought cause I've lost 50 pounds. Next is door decorations. FE are in the process of being made by my Mother in Law. Get them decorated next weekend. Yep freakin out a little LOL!:scared:
