July 2020 vs. December 2020

Hi Everyone!
We spent three weeks in July at WDW for the reopening.
At that time, most attractions had minimal wait times, even when the posted time said a much longer wait time. I think we waited for Space Mountain for 45 minutes once, but everything else was less.

As I plan for our upcoming trip in a couple of weeks I am assuming wait times in general have increased since July, but for those there recently what attractions had an actual wait time over 60 minutes?

What is everyone’s current attractions to visit at opening to hope to get a shorter wait?

I am ok with longer wait times compared to July, but just want to be prepared and have a plan.

This is the best advice for a full picture of what’s going on. We rope dropped Space, Slinky and Flight of Passage and thought those worked out best

I would highly suggest getting a Touringplan subscription for I think its $15/yr and you can see every day on every ride what the wait times were throughout the day. People even actually manually track the ride wait times through the day and that can be viewed on the charts as well.

In addition they have where you can optimize your rides you want to do during a day and manually arrange to get estimated times.

Otherwise there will be some off hand information on here. I like to take both in to account. I do find it helpful though during the day as well to update and optimize as I go (you can optimize by wait or walking).

Yes I know I bring them up once and a while but I think when you are spending $1k-$10k+ on a trip spending an extra $15ish for a fairly useful tool is worth it. I know some will disagree about the usefulness though.

I’ve had touring plans for years. I like being able to create and tinker with the daily touring plan as we get closer to the trip. It also includes the reservation finder. Personally, it’s not always spot on, but it’s a great tool to have in the tool belt when planning a trip.

July was like a ghost town, December is not. We were at a park all but one day from Nov 26 to Dec 3. Big difference between July and Dec. Soon annual passes Gold and lower will be blocked out. That may have some impact as it shifts from mainly locals to resort guests.

In July the parks never got to any sort of capacity, we have now seen recently all parks doing so. Have realistic expectations, December is nothing like it was in July
I would just pick 3 attractions that you must do and rope drop the most popular one, don't overplan
