July 2015 Discounts???

We are planning to go West to be on hand for the 60th birthday, with a reservation at the DL Hotel for the week. We have been watching for any news of a promo for that time period, but haven't heard anything (at least haven't found the right thread). Do any of you amazing DISers have knowledge, insight, instinct, or even wild guesses as to when we might see something, or is it time for us to accept the fact that we will be paying (gulp) rack rate that special week?

I expect this summer (and July especially) to be more crowded than usual. I don't see why they would offer any specials when they have no reason to. We do get a small discount on tickets and APs through the teacher's union so maybe you can check through your work and see if they offer anything like that. Although it sounds like you are coming from back east and work promotions are usually local. (Ours offers no discount on WDW, for example) We are staying off property this July because we don't want to pay that much for a room either.

It will be peak season during July. I think you should accept the fact you will be paying rack rate.
