So my Boardwalk sign is completely covering my Mickey and yet it's not time for me to leave yet. That does nothing for me but make me think I should be there already.

I'm thinking I am going to do live tweets from the parks that will correspond with FB posting, if I remember how I did that. If anyone wants to follow me, let me know and I'll post my twitter id.

I don't think I'm going to do a traditional trip report, but I may.

Anyway, I am completely bored today, just sitting here resting and icing my knee and trying to get it unswollen before I leave on Tuesday

Glad you arrived in Orlando safety. Did you really drive straight through. I am tired just thinking about it.

Yes, we did. It took 17.5 hours from start to finish. DW book ended my 11 hour stint with 4.5 on the front end and 1.5 on the back, then I took over once we hit Orlando proper after a quick 20 minute power nap. Speaking of, I need to get some rest. Full day of WDW goodness tomorrow.

A quick story - DD, who is 4 and was here for only one day last year, has remembered more than I ever thought she would. She wants to go to Mickey and Minnie's house (oops), ride PotC without being scared, remembers getting her picture taken with the statues outside of the World of Disney store. . . .it's just amazing.

That is all. I'm off to bed for a cat nap. Then heading to the Boardwalk, I think.

UGH!!!! Freak me out why don't they! I got a call from our Dessert Party contact AND he called my HOME phone (not even sure how they had that number when I always used my cell as the contact number!). He was LUCKY we weren't in TN and would have never gotten the message!

Of course, now he's in a meeting and I have to sit here and anxiously await WHAT the call was about. I don't want to start anything too intense while waiting for his call.

I have 1 suitcase packed and working on the 2nd one and overnight bag but stuff is in the dryer that I need.

Then I have to finish cleaning out the car and LOAD it, do one last load of dishes, etc...

The good news is the car is gassed up, I have my $$, I basically don't need to run out to the store for anything else, I don't think anyway. ROFLMBO!

I suppose I should go do something but I'm hoping it's a "quick" meeting....*sigh*

I'm going for my 8th trip to DisneyWorld in 40 days !
we're driving...24 hours.... (oh god) but were stopping overnight in a hotel on the way!

were staying at Carrabien Beach to chill for a couple days, then switching to POP and hitting the theme parks +blizzard beach !

Anyone who's been to blizzard beach, whats there for a thrill-seeking teen like myself? ive only been to Typhoon lagoon.

Anyone else going around august 24-september5th ?

July 15th – Magic Kingdom – We arrived at 8:30 AM and watch the welcome show. I still enjoy the music, even though we have seen it probably 75 times. Went straight to Space Mountain and rode it 8 times. Got 2 fast passes for later tonight. Buzz Light year, Monsters Inc laugh floor. Went to Frontier land to ride Splash Mountain and get fast passes for tonight. Purchase smoothies and a strawberry sundae at 10:00 AM – WOW!! I haven’t had a sundae at 10:00 AM in years; I felt like a kid again. We left around 12:00 noon to return to CBR so I can settle my bill; arrange a bellman to pick us up at 2:00AM for the 2:30 AM Magical Express run to the airport. Midori is taking a nap right now and wants to go back to the park at 5:00 PM.

It has rained, thundered and lightning every afternoon and early evening for about 1.5 to 2 hours enough to cool us down for a bit and raise the humidity to an unbearable level. We are getting ready to head back to Magic Kingdom. I will finish the trip report tomorrow at home. We will arrive in Dallas / Fort Worth tomorrow around 12:30 PM.

We’ll looks like we are not going anywhere right now. It is pouring down and looks like it may go on for a while. I will catch up with you guys later.

I'm back for a few days. My NYC trip was fun. We shopped and went to see the Addams Family musical with Brooke Shields and Roger Rees. It was awesome. I'm not making sure my WDW suitcase is packed, and I'll be already to go.

Well we are home in Georgia again! I looked at my photopass pictures and am very happy Will edit them and add borders before ordering the CD! I felt SO much more relaxed this trip, not having to worry about taking the photos!!

Going to see Harry Potter tomorrow or Sunday and then some pool time with the family Enjoying these last few days, gearing up for the second half of the deployment...

Well I have been MIA for the past few days trying to get all my packing done, everything finished up at work and family get togethers.

Today 12 of the 15 of our group started the drive to FL. From their texts I know they hit ALOT of traffic in Maryland and are not happy!!

Since the drivers took all of mine and my DD's luggage I was completely packed last night. All I had to do was put last minute things into my carry on and finish mine and DD's matching travel shirts for tomorrow! Thank you so much to the DISigners for their cute Dalmations design.

Today I am doing and straightening up the house. DD and I also went to see the new Pooh movie....very cute, she loved it.

Since I have been MIA for so long I think I had to catch up on 15 - 20 pages on this tread, boy it moves fast! I was actually thinking we would have made 250 pages and a new thread started and I wouldn't find. I know I rambling and I'm sorry.

Well going to turn over the laundry and head to bed...we are heading to the ariport tomorrow at 7:30am..

One more thing - - - -THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH TO GRAY2402 - - - the girls absolutely loved their princess post cards!! They arrived last Saturday and were perfect

I'm back for a few days. My NYC trip was fun. We shopped and went to see the Addams Family musical with Brooke Shields and Roger Rees. It was awesome. I'm not making sure my WDW suitcase is packed, and I'll be already to go.

I'm still not packed or got laundry or food shopping for my ds done. And since everyone, I'm sure, knows the old saying about the best laid plans going astray blah, blah, blah it should come as no surprise that I'm having unexpected company the whole day tomorrow! That means everything is now going to have to get put off til Sunday UGH!

Since I already promised dd a trip to the nail salon on Monday morning and I have a dr. appt Monday afternoon I'm now really, really pressed for time. And I never got a haircut. Again, may I just say UGH!
(and I was sooo far ahead of the game, seriously!)

I wish but umm...it IS Disney - as much as I love it, I'm under no illusion - they are in it for the profit. He did freak me out though when I called and he was babbling on prices raising and keeping it on a budget and he had me because I am paid in full and it's a contract so I had no idea what he was babbling on about. I had called him a 2nd time. So I was freaked out until he called back again. He had gotten out of a meeting and then called me back and then was telling me he had a room for $159/night and I'm thinking WHOA!! WAIT A MINUTE...we don't need rooms? What the world are you talking about? Turns out he had talked to someone else previously regarding rooms and they waited too long to book so the price changed. In my case, he just wanted to tell me he was going on vacation so someone else would be my contact person when I got to Disney.

To which my DD thought it was hysterical that he worked at Disney and was going "on vacation" - considering Disney is a vacation destination.


Now off to do 1 more load of dishes and put the kiddos to bed so I can go to bed to get up at an insane hour, pack the cooler and then take off!

I have never figured out Twitter. I have no idea why because I'm usually good at that stuff. Anyway, I should be able to follow you on FB.

I hope your knee gets better soon! I ended up using a scooter for the majority of the time. I had a bit of an issue the first night we were there... and I wasn't in the mood to deal with that again during the trip. Soooo... I was scootin' around the world!

We didn't get many photopass pictures taken this time, so I doubt I'll get the CD. But, if there are one or two that are nice, I may order them. I haven't gotten to look at them yet. I have been sick since I came home. Gee, maybe I'm allergic to my house? I should live with Mickey!

Quick funny story: A number of years ago we were on vacation in Las Vegas. The blackjack dealer told me he was going on vacation the next day. I asked him where someone who lives in Las Vegas typically goes on vacation. His answer? "Disneyland" doh!

Edited July 16th – at the airport. We did get to Magic Kingdom after all around 7:00 PM. We stayed in Tomorrow land for a couple of hours and rode Space Mountain and a couple of other rides. Moved over to Frontier Land and rode Splash Mountain 2 times. Got a Turkey leg and shared it with Midori. We finished playing around 11:30 PM. We went back to CBR and Midori went to sleep. I finished packing and clean the room up. I do not like to leave it with trash and linens everywhere. I like nice neat piles. CBR driver picked us up at 2:00 AM and The Magical Express bus picked us up at 2:30 AM. Arrived at the airport at 3:00 AM and finally got our boarding pass at 4:15 AM. Now we are waiting at gate 56 to board our plane to Charlotte and then connect to DFW.
