I guess I should buy more ponchos! I actually haven't been looking at the weather forecast, as I assumed it will just be hot! I usually stalk the forecast when we go in January because you never know what you will get temp wise.

This thread moves way too fast for me to keep up on! I had to search to see what the facebook group was!

I'm still in the packing process, and hope to have it all done Thursday night. We leave Friday after work, and we think we might just drive straight through. DH did ask last week, wondering what airline prices were... but then we couldn't go to Myrtle Beach. I'm actually looking forward to driving.

That was an old post- when I looked at the forecast yesterday, most days next week were down to thunderstorms. Not all day rain by any stretch!!

Hi! We'll be at Ohana at 5:30 on the 14th too! Finally someone with the same ADR! Just 3 more days! As far as your question, I'm sure you'll be hungry for a nice dinner on the 13th. We have ADR for lunch at Tusker House and then dinner that night at Whispering Canyon on the 11th. Have fun!

That's awesome!! You will have to look for us - we will be the crazy family with 6 people - 3 of which are my dd's who will be running around with the "cousins" like lunatics - lol!

I can't believe it is only 3 more days - yikes I have a lot of empty suitcases to fill up - and fast!

I hope the weather holds out too... There is a lot of 60% chance of rain in the forecast - not what I want to see!! But then again a rainy day in Disney still beats being at home!

Oh, and I went and looked at the forecast again. Next Wednesday is listed as "rain" but not even half an inch! We got half an inch of rain in an hour over the weekend! I don't think there's TOO much to worry about!!

I just noticed this thread! I'll be doing my third solo trip from July 14th - 21st! I'm staying at a friends condo while I'm there.

I slept HORRIBLY last night! Now that we've finally started packing, I'm panicking, thinking we're going to leave something at home! I almost can't wait for the car ride, maybe I'll be able to get a decent nights sleep in on the way!

DD is coming home from spending the weekend at her dad's, and she is going to be so excited to see all the suitcases lined up half packed, and all the other little goodies we've slowly accumulated in varying degrees of being packed into bags. I can't believe we're SO CLOSE!!!

See, this is why I start packing months in advance...to avoid that "Ok I just KNOW I've forgotten something" feeling. You will get it all together and ready to go!

What is KOBO?

A KOBO is an e-reader like a Kindle only it comes from Borders. I bought one not long after DH deployed and have really enjoyed it, that is until it wouldn't show more then a large black bar at the top of the screen They are going to send me a new one though after I send in this one. I SERIOUSLY hate pink eye too...the fact that my 2 year old has it makes me even

Wow I surprised they still didn't give her something. When DS had that this winter they gave it to him w/out knowing if it was Viral or not. But then again some of those old remedies are probably better than the medicine we have today.

Melissa, they treated me like I was a hypochondriact mom who had no clue what she was talking about (which is why I think they told me it was Viral Pink Eye) She woke up this morning with a cough and I got angry and called her PCM for a referal to an urgent care clinic not far from my mom's house. As soon as that comes through, I'm going to take her in. The saltwater is helping with keeping it at bay when she's not napping but when she goes to sleep she wakes up with sticky eyes.

Packing update: DH decided that he would, in fact, wear white sneakers and picked out two pairs from his large pile of running shoes.

I still can't decide what to buy for the meet! Dragged DH round dodgy Scottish shops yesterday - lol - the kind of shops you only go in if you are a tourist! Ooh there is some BAD stuff in there! How much tartan do you guys want? LOL!! I "think" I've decided what to bring but we'll see!

Oh and I broke my tooth last night!! :-( and can't get an emergency dentist appointment today, have to try again tomorrow! Oh joy! It's not painful and it's one of the back ones so I suspect it'll be coming on holiday with me broken!

Mo, sorry you broke a tooth I hope that you can get in today to get it fixed because I can honestly tell you walking around with a broken .molar stinks! Tacky is not bad btw...this from the woman with a mini beer stein magnet on her fridge and several funny magnets as well lol

Primanti Brothers is one of the BEST sandwhich shops in PA if not the ENTIRE US! They have been around since the 1930s. http://www.primantibros.com/index.html is the link if you want to know more.


I keep thinking today is the 7th which makes me want to because DH will start his trek from Afghanistan to the US! Then I realize it's only the 6th and I feel like a fool lol.

I have to figure out how to get the 7 meet gifts into the bags to be checked in and I realized that not all of my Duct Tape Mickey Heads are fully staying on my bags. On the upside I FINALLY got my DME mail (TA sent it here) and did my online check in yesterday....first time EVER doing that! I'm just so ready for DH to get here!!!

I'm going to have to measure it and check again'st US Air's website soon, because if that's the case then that is going to stink! You will get un-discombobulated though!

Oh I know we will! I woke up at 4am this morning thinking about the trip, and couldn't go back to sleep! NOT a good thing, especially since we've really slowed down at work now, so it makes for very long, tiring days. Unfortunately, I couldn't start packing any earlier than we did. Our house (until we buy a new one next year...can't WAIT) is too small to have suitcases out, not to mention DH already thinks I'm nuts for planning what I did as far in advance as I did. His idea of "planning a trip" is booking the hotel. I had to really get on to him last week to make him promise he would get his packing done no later than Wednesday....TONIGHT....since we'll be spending tomorrow with family at the hospital. He's usually one that throws everything together 10 minutes before walking out the door!

OMG we had this discussion. My dd wants to bring a suitcase with wheels (small) on the plane filled with stuff. Just stuff. No clothes or anything like that. So I told she could, but she'd have to forget about a backpack, because you can only bring one thing on the plane as a carry on. She decided the suitcase could stay home. She wants her backpack, for the stuff she must have in the seat with her for the flight

They dropped off my new KOBO as I was helping the girls set up the new slip n slide (that I had to put a patch kit on because Meghan didn't untwist the nozzel portion of it and it popped lol). I think that resturant has been on The Travel Channel (World's Best Places To Pig Out I think was the show) and Food Network. I don't think I've seen it on M v F but it MIGHT have been on Tripple D (Dinner's, Drive-In's and Dives). I really hope that DH learns that with as much rain will fall on this trip he will for getting him the KEENS lol.

Why is it some men do not understand that planning for Disney is not like planning for oh I don't know.....Seattle? You can't just book the hotel and be done with it! There are outfit changes on sweltering, raining days! There are trinkets that must be packed, and items that they will never think of (Poncho's, bug spray, tums!)

So I got a hold of Gillian's PCM and got a referal to an urgent care clinic that I took her to today. This doctor was SOO much nicer then the Col we saw yesterday. He actually LOOKED and LISTNED to Gillian and gave her drops to prevent any bacteria from forming and to assist with the itch. Tomorrow I'm most deffinately taking the girls to the zoo and I have to figure out what else we are going to do to kill time until DH get's here! I'm hoping he calls me when he get's to Kuwait to touch base with me and let me know what's going on...until he calls, I will be watching the weather forcast for both Kuwait and Orlando lol

Well we are down to 4 sleeps BUT our travel agents don't have our tickets yet!!!

It is my friend who is the TA and is telling me not to worry (yeah right) but every time we've been in she phones and gets told the tickets will be emailed and still no email!!!! I have to phone again today after 3pm! We are actually staying at a hotel at the airport on Saturday before our Sunday flight so leaving in 3 days really!!

Hello Everyone

Only 3 more days untill Disney. We will be leaving the house Saturday morning around 4:15 AM. One of my drivers of the company I work for will pick us up and take us to the airport.

That will be the last time I look at the name of the company I work for (Decals on the van) for 9 days. NOW!!! to make sure my clients don't call me, (HA ! HA !) I will record a vacation message on my voice mail and send out (I AM ON VACATION) message on my e-mail options.

Even though I did that last year, I still received 23 calls during my vacation from clients. The only thing I could say was SORRY! please call the office and my staff will in deed take care of you.

We are out of here!!!!!!!!!!

I think it has been changing a bit, and improving slightly. I am going to try not to worry too much about it.

How are you keeping that much Primanti's in your fridge and not eating it??? I'll take a corned beef. We'll do our best to stop by. Who knows, if DD (and DW for that matter) are feeling good that day, maybe we'll stroll over at 4:00. Thanks for the invite.

Driving has its benefits.....we are flying this year for the first time in awhile, and it is tougher to pack. Enjoy the trip!!!

Awesome. I've got all of the Man v. Food locations, as well as Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives in my GPS. I've seen Primanti Brothers on both. One of these days we're going to plan a Triple D/MVF vacation where we travel and eat until our arteries harden.

For now we've got our sights set on the WDW restaurants. I've been considering a Le Cellier lunch ADR one day, so we can drink/eat around the world again.

I've been checking the weather, and right now, the only day I'm concerned with is Thursday (& maybe Friday). Although accuweather and weather.com seem to have different thing going on...I'm hopeful that accuweather is more accurate because every day when I check it seems to change...for the better.
