I want to let you friends know about my posting on Dis Family. I reads (Trying to arrange a Girl's Play Day at CBR July 13th) My DD 11 blasted me. If you want a laugh and have the time to read it, you'll see what I am going to have to live with when my DD 11 turns teen.

I have spoiled her for 11 years and this is just the beginning... I will be on the Rockin Roll Roller Coaster during the teen years.

Thanks so much - ran out of pain medicine today and now living off of Tylenol, not as good but takes the edge off. Need to pain free by Saturday morning's flight. DD11 said, I do not need to hear you cry about pain during the vacation. Call the Doctor and get more...I said ok - I'll call him tomorrow morning.

Ha !! Ha !!

Your DD is right. You don't want to be in pain when you are down there.:goodvibes

Got a question ??? Am I supposed to report a short paragraph daily as to how are our day went.?

Thanks:chat:

Congrats on hitting a milestone :) Have fun in Maine!!

Ok, I have quoted and typed replies 2x already and because I'm on a lap top (GEEZE I miss my desktop!) they have gotten deleted by my thumb areas hitting the mouse and doing something behind my back.....

Indy~ My apologies, let me rephrase my previous statement: Those non-Disney understanding people of the opposite gender who see no point in planning trips to The World like we ourselves do :thumbsup2

Mo~ My Dad lives near that area and when I was a kid I made the mistake of packing nothing but shorts one summer...I was soo cold! After that year, I made sure to pack jeans, t-shirts and an umbrella :rotfl2:

Carrie~The best slip n slide (and the cheapest IMO) is to take a big blue/green/silver tarp, steak it to a hill. Then duct tape a hose to the tarp and go to town (after you turn on the water that is!) They are also more sturdy then the ones by Whamo and won't rip as easily.

Gillian's eyes are starting to clear up slightly. There is less goop when she wakes up in the morning so we are going to continue with the salt water washes and the eye drops the doctor gave her yesterday. Today is the official day that DH begins his trek to the US! I can't wait to see him again, it's been 9 LONG months since I was able to hold his hand while I talked to him or hugged him really tightly so I am really looking forward to when he get's here!

Why, yes. Yes it is. (Obligitory "Hey. Where's Perry?)

I must say, though, that 7 of them are character dining for DD4 to alleviate the need to stand in line for characters. Plus, a guy's gotta eat, right??:thumbsup2

Cheers,
Indy

I have to admit that, for future trips, I'm torn between Never Using the Dining Plan Again or going Deluxe. Way to hit the extremes, right? :rotfl2: I kind of feel like I want more options when I eat, which make either better choices than what I have now. Of course, "now" also involves six adults, so it's a little more complicated than usual.

(Oh man so tired. This having to go to work thing is KILLING me!)

Four days!!

:rotfl2:

Thank you for acknowledging that some of us of the inferior gender are incessant Disney Planners. Ask my wife. :rolleyes1

Cheers,
Indy

Why is it some men do not understand that planning for Disney is not like planning for oh I don't know.....Seattle? You can't just book the hotel and be done with it! There are outfit changes on sweltering, raining days! There are trinkets that must be packed, and items that they will never think of (Poncho's, bug spray, tums!)

So I got a hold of Gillian's PCM and got a referal to an urgent care clinic that I took her to today. This doctor was SOO much nicer then the Col we saw yesterday. He actually LOOKED and LISTNED to Gillian and gave her drops to prevent any bacteria from forming and to assist with the itch. Tomorrow I'm most deffinately taking the girls to the zoo and I have to figure out what else we are going to do to kill time until DH get's here! I'm hoping he calls me when he get's to Kuwait to touch base with me and let me know what's going on...until he calls, I will be watching the weather forcast for both Kuwait and Orlando lol

I was actually pleasantly surprised....DH really got into the packing mode last night! Of course he didn't want to listen to me tell him to pack extra shirts, socks, etc. He called me "Mom" :headache: But...he ended up giving me extra shirts, socks, etc to pack :cool1:

I do NOT miss going to a military hospital! I was active duty AF for about 5 years, I had horrible, shooting back pain that went up my back and down my entire leg on one side, I cried and cried, couldn't walk, sit, stand, etc. I went to sick call, and BEGGED to be seen, the doc took one look at my records, saw I have scoliosis, and diagnosed complications from scoliosis. I had that go on for MONTHS off and on, they kept giving me Motrin, sending me to Physical Therapy, nothing worked....until I was pregnant with my DS, had the same thing happen, my OB did further testing, and turns out I had kidney stones!

Hope your DD feels better...poor thing  there's nothing worse than your child being sick!

OMG we had this discussion. My dd wants to bring a suitcase with wheels (small) on the plane filled with stuff. Just stuff. No clothes or anything like that. So I told she could, but she'd have to forget about a backpack, because you can only bring one thing on the plane as a carry on. She decided the suitcase could stay home. She wants her backpack, for the stuff she must have in the seat with her for the flight :) princess:

We went through about 200 books last night to find 10 to put in her backpack. Glad that's over. And that's just the books. Sheesh! Luckily we're driving....so we've got a little more room to play with. Had the worst scare with her DVD player last night in the car(that Santa brought her JUST for this trip), the screen was blank, but the sound was on. She freaked out. I told her to just turn it off, maybe it needed to charge....guess what? :yay: I was right....thank the LORD!!!! THAT would have been a nightmare! I would have been at Wally World or Target tonight buying a new DVD player!

Congratulations :cool1::cheer2::yay: on your 3000th post.
:thumbsup2:cool1:

Work really gets in the way doesn't it? We will probably not be doing the dining plan anytime soon again, but I agree - sometimes that Deluxe plan is tempting!

I don't eat as much in the summer, at least for heavy sit down meals. When it gets hot out, I tend to exist on ice cream and other frozen treats. Which isn't the least bit healthy, but it's how I get by. I tried really hard to talk my family in to the QSDP but the price difference was so small that I was summarily ignored. Then I got a PIN for free QSDP, which we upgraded to regular dining making the point of this story "we're only paying $7/person/night for the dining," so I feel less bad if I exist on ice cream and frozen cokes for the week.

Prior to that, spending all that money for food I don't necessarily want was really frustrating. Now, well, let's face it - I'll eat $7/day, even if it is in ice cream! ;)

For work? Yeah, they expect me to work my usual hours of 8-4. Don't they know that getting up early enough to be here on time is getting in the way of my trip anxiety fitful sleeping patterns? (I'm glad it's almost weekend and I can sleep it away, if I have to, before we go!)

We got lucky with the free dining and upgraded as well. I wish I ate less in the heat! When we are on vacation we tend to indulge a lot, but I think that's because we are always "trying" to eat healthy/low cal at home. Who knows, we've never been there in the heat, so maybe I won't eat as much! I didn't think of it like that - $7 per day. Awesome! See you at the Dessert Party, if I'm not too preoccupied with my boys!

Work - I've got to get through today and tomorrow yet, and lately, I tend to be on the Dis a bit much. Doesn't look like that will happen much today, how dare these people interrupt my Dis time!

This morning my DS7 was telling me all the reasons why flying is better - he likes going through security (really?), seeing new things, seeing all of the houses get smaller as we take off, it's faster... I told him to just think of this as a bonus trip. We were just there in January, and we will fly again this winter. In the summer, we drive to Myrtle Beach, so it's a bonus that he gets to go to Disney again. Kids!

DS4 has had his little suitcase packed for weeks now, full of miscellaneous toys and other stuff! I wish packing were that easy!

I'm doing my final packing today. We are heading down to my sister's house tonight. She's an hour and a half closer to the airport. Our flight leaves Manchester at 6:40am. :cool1::cool1::cool1:

I know exactly what you mean - usually we do a few TS meals and exist on junk food - lol. It was hard to resist the free dining pin though - so we did several 2 TS meals so that we are not doing a huge meal every night. I am not sleeping well either - I am too paranoid about everything I have to do to get ready!

Isn't free dining wonderful! Good luck getting through work - at least it is almost over!

There are pros and cons to both driving and flying......but I have to admit I am looking forward to the 2 hour flight instead of the 16 hour drive this time. We have not flown since 2008!
