Me, too! I was a "whirling dervish" according to my husband last night! Got much more done in an hour than I hoped!

We leave Friday for a quick 4th of July trip...my DD is so excited!

After talking to Sarah for a while yesterday, I've decided I'm not going to fret about my Welcome Packet/DME packet from Disney. Disney will take care of me and my family.

I know this is total geek but I bought the BEST fanny pack yesterday that can hold two water bottles plus hats and sunglasses. So I am psyched to be hands free. Yes it's geeky but at least it's North Face.

The brand makes all the difference.

1 1/2 working days!!! Yeay!!! Cannot wait!!!!!? We'll be the blue Scottish ones who turn white as we tan!!

I went out and priced some things I need for the trip today. A carrier for my male cat, a disposable litter pan and a pop up carrier for both cat's while we are in the room. I'm going to end up spending more then I wanted on the pop up carrier though unless I can find one for a better price.

Remind me again, I am bad about details! Are you leaving your cats with your mom? Or are you taking them to WDW???? I have to admit, I'm getting a little anxious about leaving my dogs. They are lap dogs, and my shadows, both sleep on my legs, wonder if I'll be able to sleep. I know that sounds creepy, one curls up against the crook of my knee and the other lays his head on my calves.

Well no go for tomorrow So two more sleeps until I see him (hopefully) ...

I can't imagine how hard that is!!!! Is he getting to rest while he waits, at least? Maybe he won't be too worn out. Can't wait to meet the duck family at AK! I've been filling DH in (he says it's like American Pie, except instead of band camp, it's "Today, on Disboards, I read..." ) We're sending prayers and pixie dust for a safe return home tomorrow!!! I get pretty emotional thinking about the sacrifices that our military and their families go through, after helping one of my BFF's during her DH's two tours, so if I get teary eyed when I meet you guys, I'm not nuts, promise!!!

So we are leaving July 12 and I just looked at the extended weather forecast and see that it says RAIN for at least the 12th and 13th. Not those pop up showers so typical of FL, but straight RAIN!!! !

Look back about... oh, 20 pages. I had the same fears as soon as I could get a 15 day on accuweather. It said straight up rain for us, too. Leaving tonight, and it's more in the scattered and isolated t'storms patterns. Deep breaths. I will say this, though. TWC had a video about the much needed rain some days 1-3 inches. Honestly, they need it. Hopefully it will be in the afternoon so you can have a resort break. Many of the areas surrounding WDW have banned fireworks, and I was really, really worried that we were going the week of the 4th to see the fireworks, and they would be cancelled.

So my mom used her Khols charge and bought Gillian a new pair of purple shoes and they will be there when we get there (or shortly after but before we leave to FL), I just have to pay her back. Found a pop up kennel at Target for under 30 bucks .

YAY for the purple shoe!!!!!

... let alone my interview in San Fran on Friday!!

my dad and stepmother gave me a Vera Bradley Mini Hipster for my early birthday present! How cool is that?

YAY!!! Can you keep them in the back pocket that is closest to your body? That might be far enough away from the magnet.....

We are officially leaving on Saturday! So we have three days to go. Wooo!

We're leaving Saturday too. Driving a little over half way…then finishing it Sunday morning arriving at WDW!!! Woo Hoo!

I don't know which direction you guys are coming from, but PLEASE drive carefully. DH and I realized that the race is in Daytona this weekend, so lots of traffic, as well as, the shuttle launch Thursday and normal 4th traffic. I almost had an anxiety attack thinking about it. Make sure whoever is driving is alert and not distracted!!!!

DH is going to sleep most of the day, just have to clean the car and pack it. We'll head out around 7 or so tonight, and drive straight through, with gas and potty breaks. Only way we can manage the excitement of our girls! SO.... this time TOMORROW I should be checking in to AKL for 1 night!

Just a quick reminder - START DRINKING WATER NOW! The best way to combat getting dehydrated is to make sure your body is fully hydrated when you get there, so you're not starting out low. We've had the whole family drinking tons, yes, pottying a lot too, but it really pays off!

Can we get a AK meet on 6th roll call? I'm coming, it will be me, DH, and our two girls, 11 and 4. If all goes according to plan, they'll be in lime green dresses with black Mickey heads. We just found out that my DH has to work Friday and Saturday so we won't be going to St. Louis this weekend. On one hand I'm really bummed but on the other I'm thrilled to have more time to pack and clean before we leave the on the 8th.

Aww you are sweet! I won't think you're nuts He is sort of getting some rest... it is hot there (like 115-120 degrees!!!) and very windy and sandy. I told him Florida will feel amazing after that heat He had to sleep in a top of a bunk bed last night and said that was an, uh, interesting experience. Hopefully he will sleep on the airplane and be well rested when he gets home!!!!

The only silver lining there is that the parks may be less crowded! The kids won't be happy if it rains though!

You realize that it's not a totally exact science this far out, right?

I was looking at accuweather.com and if you click on each date, it also gives the predicted rainfall total. Most of them are under a quarter of an inch. I swear Michigan gets that much rain when we look at clouds! I expect the forecast to tighten up as we get closer, but with the not unusual afternoon rain showers, a quarter inch doesn't sound like a huge deal to me!! We'll be fine and I'll see you there!!

omgoodness - I'm going to bed for the last time in my house until I am home from WDW!!!! That is, if I finish my to do list! I'll try to catch up tomorrow with replies, sorry I've been MIA today. Getting stuff done, but still have a ton to do!

Just so excited that today is the last day of June. Wishing my life away as my mother would have said but we have been waiting over 400 days for this trip so I guess it doesn't hurt once in a while.

The grandkids are coming over today to help clean out some closets and get ready for a garage sale. They get the money so are very excited about helping. Plus they don't mind getting rid of some of their stuff if they get the money to buy more stuff.

I hope all the July diser's that are already there are having a great time. Needed to post to see my ticker, nothing important to say.
