Yippeee!!!! My mickey mail just came. That must mean that it is almost time to start packing Just have to finish a couple of last minute things.

Yay, for Mickey Mail!!! I can't wait to get ours! I see your birthday is in 35 days! I will be celebrating my birthday in Disney in 39 days! We are also staying at the Pop Century! Have fun! Maybe we'll pass each other in the lobby with our Birthday Buttons on!!!

Today was in the low 90's. I was the chaperone on DD's trip to Mystic Aquariam. I was happy that it was hot so I can get mentally prepared for Disney. And tomorrow is going to be close to 100

Good then my sister's group can be ready too! She works at Mystic Seaport....so she is probably going to send me an e-mail complaining about not surviving the heat - that is once she survives this work week -- she's in the offices and right now it's crunch/crazy time for them with stuff.

DD was supposed to have Field Day at school tomorrow. They've cancelled it because it is going to be too hot. They've rescheduled for Monday. This is the first time I ever remember a school event being cancelled due to heat. We've had a child in this district at one school or another for the past 15 years!

I only get the DME stuff every other trip, I swear, without my TA having to do a LOT of wrangling. Even then, the accuracy is limited. I haven't received my TA mail, yet, either and it looks like we arrive a few days before you!

Take breaks during mid day to go swimming or even just go to an indoor CS resturant to get out of the heat. Then again those AC rides help too!

I once had two parents blame me for their children cheating. I also had another parent get mad at me for sending their child to the office. All their child did was call me a b****. Sometimes parents are a little....well, odd.

That's an issue with counseling. They stuff them in to fill out their schedule and put teachers in awkward positions because the student is only there to be in a seat. Ugh.

Well, it was a cheating incident. I have been working in the online education world now for about 11 years. I am quite aware of what online cheating looks like (um, not that it is that difficult to compare a test with a website. ) Anyway, the mom insisted that her perfect child did not do it, and I was wrong. So, I sent her the evidence. Now, I only talk to a child if I can prove it 100% because I know better otherwise..... Looking at the evidence the mom still said I was lying called me an idiot as well as a few other choice things that I wouldn't even dare to begin to type out and then hung up!!! At least I made a new record today... a new worst phone call ever has been achieved!!! Yeah, gotta look at the bright side somewhere.... 2 more days for the students....

Thanks for the hug! I definitely needed those today.

That stinks for your DH. Those students just become distractions. At least at our school, we move kids out who don't need to be in a class and are not working. With it being online there is no need to fill a seat.


Side note: Not all teachers are out to "get the kid!" I got into teaching because I L-O-V-E it... I know... that's a shocker that someone would actually love their job. I also work at a public cyber charter school.... and no union! *waits for the gasps* Haha. Gotta luv parents. One horrific call for an entire school year isn't too bad, eh?

Anyway... Disney is coming soon!

I cannot believe that some countdown tickers are already in the 20s! Wow, this is coming up fast. For some reason, mine being at 33 still seems a bit distant.

Kids are out of school as of noon yesterday

DD is thrilled because she can now say she is a senior. DS is now a freshman.....so we are in our last school, said goodbye to middle school.


I really need to buckle down and start packing or at least organizing.
