July 2011:Calling all planners-Post your dates & Resort

Just added another ADR for 17 peole at Chef Mickey's on the 29th of July at 9:05, unusual to still be able to get ressies at this late date. We thought the kids didn't want to eat there this year but we were wrong.

I can't believe it is this close already and yet so far away.

Thanks...they won't be changing their minds...momma will make sure of that. :)

Nasty weather here in Indiana. Already had hail twice tonight, along with several tornado warnings...waiting on some more pretty bad storms to come through. Kids are sleeping in the hallway....can't wait to buy that new house next year with a basement!

 How scary. I hope everything was OK.

It was actually very scary. I, of course, couldn't sleep til the storms passed us. Turns out it was a good thing, there was "rotation" just west of the town we live in, sirens went off, and thankfully kids were already in the hall, woke DH up, at which point he helped calm ME down, and we just waited. It sounded horrible outside. Sirens went off for like 10 mins straight, but thankfully we kept electricity, internet, etc....so I was able to follow online to see when the threat had passed. I don't ever want to go through that again. I can't wait to sell our house and buy one with a BASEMENT!!

One thing I can say, is miraculously, there was NO damage. We didn't even have a bunch of limbs down in our yard like we normally do with really bad storms. We are blessed, that's for sure.

Have I mentioned I'm ready for VACATION!?!?!?! 42 days....can't wait to get outa here! :cool1:

Most deffinately so close yet so far.....

June 25th- July 1st Poly

WELCOME!

Any updates on if there will still be a MK Meet N Greet on the 20th or was the kabosh put on that one? If it's still a go I would love to be there!

I have been waiting to post my ADR's.... and now I know why.

we will be doing cs only this trip, funds have gotten a bit tight here, but its still going to be an awesome trip and like I mentioned before, one day I will stay onsite and have the dining plan and not care how much it costs. For today, I am thrilled that we are going, that its not costing us a fortune, and that I will get to make memories with my kids.

I don't know how to post a pre trip report, am going to investigate that. Today, in preparation for WDW I painted my fingernails geranium pink and put little black mickey heads on them. SO cool looking LOL.

It has been moved to Epcot since it seemed like everyone was over there that day!

You will have a great trip no matter where you eat:wizard:

:cool1: DD7 finished school today too!!! I have never been to disney in summer before, who has good tips on what to pack??:worship:

Can't offer anything you probably haven't thought of but I will say it anyway. Lots of sunscreen, umbrella or some other protection from the rain, extra shoes in case the ones you are wearing get soaked and won't dry overnight, something to flavor the free cups of water with (I think the water there is awful), patience and a good attitude. Have a great summer trip!

Lots of deodorant, extra shoes, sunscreen, cheap ponchos, and multiple ponytail holders are musts for me in the summer weather at Disney. But, I absolutely love it!!

Thinks I learned from my last trip in July:
light clothing, both in weight and in color.
Tank tops & sandals, because we found we got too hot in t-shirts and sneakers.
lots of sunscreen
rain ponchos
hats (either buy or bring). I always said hats make you hotter. I didn't believe, but I was wrong. A hat helped soooo much.
if you are wearing sneakers, moisture wicking socks!
A mister fan

That's all I can think of at the moment

So is anyone doing anything special for Memorial Day? We are going to Maine for a few days so I won't be able to post until I get back. There is no internet service but we do have cable now so that is a bonus:happytv:
So Happy Memorial Day everyone!!!!

Wow DH and DD don't get out until June 23rd. There were so many snow days this year that school was pushed back an extra week.

Lots of deodorant,

Howdy all -
