i got the same ressie's mk cr its expensive even with aaa.

i hung up never answered, seems out of my dates. aug 15 > sept 2.

you're telling me it's expensive!!! I never thought I'd pay that much $$$ for a hotel room ..... only at the world ...... it hurts, but I don't know what to do ...... we stayed @ BWI last year b/c of the temptation of the rates ......i hate to switch again cuz we REALLY want to do the MK view -just once ....... but, the price

Just got BC 7/29-8/4 for $194. Had ressies at WL but no rates were available there. Not too shabby.

I tried for our dates (7/11/07) at WL--no go, not any view. I asked for a quote on EPCOT resorts--none available for that date. I was offered Polynesian GV at $398.25--heck, my GV concierge res is $395.25--why would I do that?

No go for the 8 night stay at Polynesian GVC (7/12/07-7/20/07)--nothing at Polynesian w/AP for those dates. Bummer--I was shut out in June last year, thought I might have better luck this year with a different month--guess not. At least I have a AAA rate. . .although I'm beginning to think it will be very crowded. . .

ETA: I got through immediately. . .no holding at all at 7:30 a.m.

thought this might help someone - i called to get the AP rate for BW/YC/BC for 7/16-20, and was told that they only had club level concierge at those 3 for my dates at $420 WITH the discount! He said they hadn't released any standard rooms at the Epcot resorts for my dates. Guess we'll stick with AAA!

We are going to be at Disney June 29-July 7 staying at CBR. Was able to get AP rate for July 1-7 for two rooms. Saved 240.00 on each reservation!!!!!

I had AAA rate at POR July 8-16 for about $1500. I was able to switch to standard BWI for $195 plus tax. So, for a total of about $248 more we are at a deluxe instead of a mod. I'll take that any day! It's our first to trip to ghe Boardwalk. I'm so excited!!

It is often there sometimes after noon on the day of the release. We should be getting the emails about that time too.

There were no AP discounts last summer for the "MK" resorts to include WL, GF, Poly, CR. Looks like they are doing the same thing as last year. And no, there were no other AP discounts released last summer when this happened then. I had wondered if history would repeat itself and it looks like it did. However, there are AP discounts for the moderates in July this year, which there were none last year, so that is new. I would not count on seeing any futher discounts released. Now that these discounts have been released, the waiting begins officially for Aug. 4 and beyond.

It looks like the monorail resorts have been skipped. They did this last year too. The same deluxe resorts were included in last year's AP rates that they're offering this year.

I don't remember them offering the Mods last year and those are included this year.

I got BWI 7/8 - 7/15 for $218 (including tax) a night. That sure beats my AAA rate at WL for $282!! We had originally booked a package because we wanted the dining plan. This saves me $673. That's almost the equivalent of free dining. So I'm happy with that!!

Yep....and it puts me in a predictament.
Our stay is at the WL for Aug 4-8. So right now, only the first night is available at the AP discount. I'm hesitant to switch to a resort with an AP rate (such as BC/YC/BW etc) for fear that the remaining nights (Aug 5-8) won't be available at that resort. What a pain ! I'm going to sit tight with the WL I think. All that waiting and it came to this....oh well....

After reading another post on a different AP thread, I called again in an attempt to get an EPCOT resort w/AP rate for one night. Low and behold, the first res agent must have been mistaken. I was offered ALL of the EPCOT resorts for 7/11/07 at various service levels w/AP discount.

I opted to switch to a standard view of YC for $194 p/night versus the $204 WL woods view room. Seems like a no brainer to me--an $11.25 credit (good for at least one fiesta margarita ), back entrance to EPCOT (which is where we will be on that one night), and Illuminations without waiting for the bus/monorail--yep, smart move! The only drawback is we have been trying to "sleep around the world" and we've already done the BC/YC thing, so we won't technically be trying something "new". Still, we've not done "standard" view. . .so it could be considered something new.

After our one night stay it will be off to Polynesian via taxi in the early morning for check-in and on to EMH at MK! I will say, that if we didn't simply LOVE Polynesian, I would be sorely tempted to stay in the EPCOT area. . .I wasn't offered a concierge level AP though. . .

I would consider switching myself, as I'm paying $241 (includes the tax) per night at the WL. But the discounts stop at Aug 4 and we need Aug 4-8.
Congrats on saving the $$ though !!!

Was the $204 for WL "woods" view a discount of any kind ? When did u book this ? I ask, because I'm paying $215 for WL "standard" (Aug 4-8) ? Just wondering........

AP rates are given in 10 day increments. I would call because usually what you pay for the 1st night is extended through your whole stay as long as it does not go over 10 days. Call!!
