July 2007 Rate/Code Watch

Hopefully someone can help me out with this. My boyfriend and I have a standard room at AKL booked for July 9th-14th. We booked through the WDW website. However, I am a AAA member and am now very curious as to wether we could save some money using my membership. Here's the hitch though, the room is booked under my boyfriend's name and his credit card. Will we be able to use my AAA discount? Thanks in advance for any assistance. We're both college students and trying to save as much money as we possibly can!

We're going down the 5th - 16th & have been waiting for AAA rates at the AKL for the 13th - 16th....so far, there are none. My AAA agent is keeping her eyes open for me.......

Our dates are July 8-16. I call every morning right at 7:00. So far, no luck, but I'm not giving up hope, yet. Besides, I'm still really hoping for those elusive AP rates to be released any day now.

I do have a question, I read on another post about an "upsell". Does the Yacht Club allow 5 in a room or is it only POR and POFQ?

I called last night to ask about an "upsell" and the CM I spoke to said they had not done that for years I explained to him that I had seen it on a thread that day and he said don't trust what you read on any other board other than www.disney

Guess they don't want us to know the inside scoop.

I have a question that maybe someone can answer as far as discounts. Has anyone ever heard of Disney ever having a program or discount for return guests? It seems to me that most of us are not first timers to the WDW and we enjoy staying as long as we can for as little money as possible. Everytime I call they ask if I have visited before and when my last visit was. Computers track all that stuff, so they can't they throw us a bone..I mean 10% would be better than nothing. Reward those of us who have saved for months and eaten ramen noodles to spend our one week vacation at the most magical place on earth year after year!

Maybe they meant that you couldn't do the free dining and AAA rates? Or, maybe they meant YOU couldn't book the AAA and pay for dining too.

In order to use AAA rates with dining, you have to book a package through a AAA TA. You can go to AAA and have then take over your current ressies, then add dining and a MYW ticket for each person staying in the room. You can get MYW for your whole stay if that's what you were planning, or if you have APs you'll have to get a one day pass for each person in the room.

If you do not currently have AAA rates, getting them will depend on availability. Booking with AAA will not guarantee that they can get you AAA discounts.

I've asked that the last 3 years! They always say no, they're sorry, but that doesn't exist...

I called yesterday to make ressies. I had a my vaction saved online via WDW - but decided to call. The 5200K 'offer' I got online was beat and the CM on the phone offered me the same plan ( 7nights at the BC for 5 including hopper/water/ddp ) for 4100k. When i said thanks and how'd he did that he told me he has codes....
