I'm planning on a July 15-29 trip to Disney in 2005. Tell me this isn't a big mistake to go during the summer heat and crowds. Whats your strategy and which parks are the worst, including the water parks ?

By the way I've been to Disney 3 times in November (during Jersey week - pretty busy) and once in early June !

We have been to WDW about five times during late July. We obviously like this time of year, but it is usually crowded and hot. I think it is all in your attitude as to how you handle this and still have fun. The parks are busy but everything seems to be running at full speed, and we like that. Make sure you take advantage of E-ticket nights if they are available. Be aware though that the water parks may be closed by mid-morning due to crowds at that time of the year. Either plan on going to the water parks early or wait to late afternoon when they will reopen as some of the early crowds leave.

Our family has been going in July/August since 1995! It does get hot but we always get an early start and always come back to cool off during the afternoon. During the afternoons we swim or just relax on the balcony or even explore our resort. Then w ego out again in the evening when its cooler again. It is very hot - mid to upper 90's but when you're in WDW there are always ways to keep cool.

We were there last year July 15-26 and had a wonderful time. We'll be there this year July 3-19. I love going this time of year. Yes it's hot - but it's manageable. I also didn't think the crowds were that bad as long as you use fastpass, go early, and avoid EE days. Have a great trip - maybe we'll see you there. Where are you staying?

Were staying 5 days at POR, 4 days at BC and 5 days at Universal Hard Rock Hotel.

We're staying 3 nights at Hard Rock Hotel, 2 nights at "Nick" hotel, and 11 nights at GF. Maybe we'll cross paths.
