everyone is invited.

The only thing I ask is you give something you would like to receive.

Not knowing the design of the ship and what a good restaurant or meeting area would be...I'd say let's have a meet up on the first day...but what time? :confused3

we don't live far and could do a quick coffee or lunch somewhere in the city...do you have a date/place in mind?

Petra
PS would have to be on a weekend...so 14/15th?

I don't have anything in mind I'm afraid. I've done no planning as to what we're going to do in NY other than 3 day HOHO and 5 plays...don't know when. Before our Baltic cruise there was a get together dinner in Dover the night before and there were so many of us there. It was lots of fun and we got to meet each other ahead of time.

I was just wondering how many people were going to be in NY precruise and if there was any interest. Its also fun to have a dismeet for everyone, even those who aren't participating in the FE.

I live in Queens so I guess you could say I will be in NY pre cruise LOL.

I might be able to sneak away one day.

We will be on this cruise for our first Disney Cruise, second cruise ever.
Still figuring things out and not settled on our transportation from Boston to NY, but now that school is out I can give it some attention...Can't wait to get on the ship and RELAX.

We are a family of 5, me, DH, DS14, DS12, DD9.

I am hoping the DS's can spend some time together in one of the clubs, we went on Norwegian before and their age groups were different so the older one wouldn't go by himself! Any insight on that from previous cruisers? DD is fine, takes off and makes friends!

Also, a little stressed about what the boys are going to wear...they are CASUAL boys and seriously don't wear pants from April-November (even in New England!!!)

Welcome. We have a facebook group too if you want to pop over

https://www.facebook.com/#!/groups/311619155585197/

Honestly the most formal of the nights is the Formal night and if they are that stressed about it skip it. There are other places to eat.

This is my one present to me as a family to dress up get our picture taken and be fancy for one evening. The other nights if you can get them in collared shirts or polos with Cargo/dress shorts you will be fine.

Thank you. We are in "negotiations" LOL. It would be nice to get a nice picture, maybe I can guilt them into that!

Don't we have to be on deck at 4pm for a mandatory muster drill is held in the afternoon of embarkation day, usually at 4:00 pm. Everyone must attend in order to learn the location of your lifeboat station and other safety information. The drill takes only 30 minutes or less and you do not have to bring your life jacket with you but they suggest trying them on for little ones to make sure they fit.....and the deck sail away party is 415pm.
Do you think we could meet right before 4pm or right after deck party?

Is it too late to join the fish extender group? I realize that it is past the deadline but I just discovered this site and think my kids would really enjoy it. Please let me know and I will give you my information

we have added one more family to the FE group. I will get you the details as soon as I have them.

If anyone has a problem please let me know. Thank you

Was there any decision on a cruise meetup and is some one organizing?

Me too! it's our 2nd cruise/1st Dis cruise, I have casual kids who hate long pants and I need to be RELAXING SOON, LOL! My twins are 11 (b-g). TWO MORE WEEKS!!

First day is not good for a meetup, its just too hectic getting settled in and figuring everything out. Saturday morning would be a lot easier.
