Hello all!

Hoping to meet-up with follow cruisers on our second DCL cruise!

Cast of characters includes:

Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, and Donald...

Oh, and me and my two best friends - you may have seen our very popular reality show on the June 22 cruise this year to Mexico, "Two Jenns and a Melissa"...

This time we lucked out - SPH room 5524! Thank you DU:worship:

Can't wait for more people to find us - come and say hi!

Melissa

Saying Hi to you!!!! We are also booked on this cruise. We are in SPH 5024 This is also our 2nd Disney Cruise. We were on the EB Panama Canal trip this summer.

We are planning to do a week at WDW, then the cruise, then 2 more days at WDW. It will be myself, my husband, and two daughters (ages 6 and 9 at the time of the trip).

Hi Patty!

We're practically neighbors! Not the Ohio - Jersey thing...the shipboard, SPH thing :goodvibes

Sounds like your family is in for an awesome trip. We'll be spending the week before the cruise up at Universal (shhhhh.....don't tell!). There's a Harry Potter convention that week :wizard: (I am a big kid at heart) and that coupled with the opening of Universal's World of Harry Potter is drawing us to the Orlando area just in time for another Disney Cruise :rolleyes1

Can't wait to meet-up with you and all our fellow cruisers - and getting to visit Castaway Cay for the first time! Looking foward to chatting until then.

Melissa

Yea! All the easier to snag those deck chairs on deck 4 that I never used last summer because it was WAY too cold out on deck! Pacific in the summer...yeah...

Also looking forward to popping down to Diversions all the easier - spent far too much time there on the last trip. Looking forward to doing so again!

We'll be onboard! It'll be me, Brenda, my husband, Brian, and our daughters, Faith, Kaitlyn and Havilah. Can't wait!!

coolmommy, Glad you can join us! We were getting lonely!

Hey - I see you are in NYC - any suggestions on decent places to stay that don't cost an arm and a leg? Jenn 1 and I are going to try and go see the Little Mermaid this summer and I'm already scouting for hotels.

Other than that - is it 2010 yet?:rotfl2:

Can't wait!

It depends mainly on your price range. It also depends if you want a view, or can do without, where you want to be near, etc. There's a lot to choose from!

Yes, we'd like to stay in a penthouse with a lovely view of the river...:rotfl2:

But seriously...

Trying to find a decent balance between $$$ and location. Every time I end up going to NYC I never seem to get out of Manhattan, mostly midtown although I have ventured both up and down from there - never to the borroughs (sp?).

I guess the thing that always gets me about staying out too far from that area is invariably we're always going to at least one broadway show - sometimes two. I just can't see staying somewhere half an hour to an hour away, and then spending all that time, not to mention money, commuting in and out of the city every day. I'm all for public transit - but not when I'm wearing a theater dress at 11:00 at night.

In an ideal world - I'd like to find someplace for about $150 per night (preferably before taxes, although that may be a pipe dream). I've paid more, but never really end up feeling like it's worth it. I'm really spoiled - the last two times I've been to NYC I've used DVC points - no money at all! Okay, not really - but it always feels that way!

Don't suppose there's room at your place?:goodvibes

Just kidding! Just kidding!

The wait for 2010 is killing me here!

I just found this thread today. I hope to be joining all of you on this cruise. My family and I (DH, and 2 DS's 6 and 3 at the time of cruise) will hopefully be celebrating the completion of my doctoral degree! Yippee! We all need a little reward for getting through this one :) We had hoped to go on a 7-day Eastern for around the same time, but was disappointed to find out that it's not sailing when we can go. I'm not jumping for joy to be going back to Nassau b/c I've been there 4 or 5 times already and really wanted to try something different, but I haven't done Key West, so that will be new. This will be our first Disney Cruise. We will probably spend a few days in the World after the cruise. I plan to call tomorrow to find out about prices and hopefully book soon thereafter. I'll let you know when it's official. In the meantime....Helloooooo!!!!!
~Michelle

Hi guys! It will be official tomorrow! I just got my quote from the TA and we will be set to go when I pay the deposit in the morning. Melissa and Patty, looks like I'll be right next to you in SPH 5522! I can't believe I got so lucky to snag one of these rooms  And Patty, my DS will be 6 then, so he is already excited to know that there is a potential friend near him :) I'm so glad I found this thread...hopefully it will make the months go by a little more quickly!

Michelle

Michelle - Glad you found us! You're going to love Disney cruising!

Wow! If you just booked, and STILL got a SPH we are seriously going to have the boat to ourselves. Yeah, I know, it's still about 20 months until the cruise - but don't people know how close that is?

Is this going to be your first time to Disney too? 6 and 3 are great ages for kids to experience the Mouse - get them started early...:goodvibes

Always good to get to know your neighbors!

Trip Planner of Doom!?!?! That is so true!

Hi everyone. I am one of the Jenns of that ever popular two Jenns and a Melissa show mentioned in a previous post. And I am so looking forward to our next excursion on a Disney Cruise that I can hardly contain myself! I am also excited that I am getting to know my future neighbors! Can't wait to meet you all! :yay:

Jenn

We just got off the Wonder yesterday on a 3 day. We'll be joining you next June. It will be me, husband, mother, daughter (21), daughter (12) and son (7).

Great to have you, Alicia! My son will we a few days shy of 7 when we cruise, so he was excited to know that there will be other kids his age on the boat. It's just a shame that we have to wait so long to go!

Hey guys - sorry to say I officially canceled this cruise today (SPH 5024 is up for grabs!). We are booked on the 7 night magic leaving this Halloween instead. The price of the 7 night was less than 1/2 of what they want for this 5 night - plus we already have the week off from school. The girls also would like to look into other cruise lines. Have a great trip in 2010.

We're on board!
DH, DS age 17 at time of trip and myself. This will be our 3rd DCL trip (Wonder 4 day 11/05 for vow renewal and Magic 11/08 for T-Day). Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Judy

Also on this cruise our second on the Wonder. Will be doing WDW after for 4 days. Will be my DW and DD(27) in 8540 as of now. Hope to meet everyone.:cool1:
