July 2, 2005 - WE ARE THERE!!!

Hello to all! :wave2:

Another work week bites the dust.

Amy, we got the maps today.....THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mokehil...........I have 1 suggestion for you for swimsuits.......Lands' End.
I have NEVER been sorry with them, and I can always find one that "works" for me. I also like them because they have "tall" swimsuits, for those of us who have longer torsos. Check them out at www.landsend.com if you don't have the catalog. (Sears also carries a limited selection too) Good Luck!!!

Got to go and Study my DL/CA maps! (hugs to Amy!)

Glad to see our thread on page 1. Pretty busy here. Weather - still cold - expecting rain again today and tomorrow and my son is going to Great Adventure/Six Flags today (he took off - hopefully the crowds will be light since we are expecting rain).

Talk about shopping - I am always spending/shopping for my kids - will try to run out today to at least browse (Casual Corner is having 25% off today for AAA members - will call before I go). Shopping for swimsuits - let's not go there.

We also used our green thingys from Home Depot and green ribbon tied to something we were carrying. I am sure we will get to the port by 10:30/11:00 am also. I can't believe the repo cruise is almost here.

I have tried to post before - I type in a reply and when I submit, I get web site not responding so I just give up and read your replies.

Looking at the Port Web Cam this afternoon www.local6.com makes me happy and sad. Sad, 'cause we are not on the Magic....but happy because she leaves today to go to CA.....so that we can meet her out there!!!!!! Guess we won't see her on the webcam for a while. BUT.....we will see her in 48 days. :goodvibes

Okay - back from shopping :cool1: :cool1:

One or two more things for each of us and we are set.

Fran -

Is the repo (14 day) cruise today? Why do I keep thinking it's the 28th.

Yup....they leave at 5:00. There is a "Live From The Magic" posting on the main Cruise Line Forum.

Ok Teacher, there will be a quiz so study hard!!! :earsboy:

BTW, I was at DTD today for a birthday party my daughter was attending at Goofy's kitchen and it was a ZOO!! We were there when everyone was just getting to DL so maybe that was why, but OMG, just driving in I thought I'd have to run over a few cars because they didn't know where they were going so they decided to just stop in the middle of the street. :confused3 (I don't do well with big crowds, hence the reason my kids have never seen DL during the summer.) Guess I'm just spoiled. Before kids, my dh and I had DL passes and we'd just pull into the parking lot and if it was too full we'd just keep on driving out the parking lot. Now that we have kids, we don't have that luxury unless we want an uprising in the back seat!! Talk to you all later. Amy :flower:

Welcome to Dare to Dream. I've been catching up reading past posts.

Thank you for the list of cruisers. A couple of corrections to mine. My DH is not going. He has to stay home and take care of the other kids and the dog :) My name is Judy and my daughter is Arlene.

Also, a review of the new parade and fireworks show...AWESOME! We were able to see the show from the Main Street train station landing (a friend works for DL). However, we are definitely going to watch it many more times from the curb! It will be a long wait, but maybe the crowds will thin out in the fall.

The fireworks were so good they brought tears to my eyes. I've been an annual passholder for many years, and this is by far the best firework display ever.

Looking forward to meeting you all!

hi! back from shopping again! now with alison {20} just came home from college. almost done. i still need a black baithing suit.! i don't ever want to total this clothes expence its very scary . congrats to the college grad who landed to hs music teacher. better weather this wkend although the pollen is awful and it is very humid our sinus are bad. looking forward to sunny skies and no pollen soon. rooms for us are 6636 and 6637. talk soon lisa

Another weekend is almost over. It was very cool here this weekend only about 56 degrees. I have put off shopping for a swim suit for myself. I love the water, but being a plus size makes suit shopping a really really yucky experience. It seems that the suits with the skirt's (which you think would work best) only makes my already large hips look that much larger. Anyway I will have to force myself to get this chore done soon. I can say that shopping for my boys is much easier. I went to the mall and had two suits for ds17 picked out and bought in about 10 minutes. College graduation is over for ds22 (thanks Lisa, for the acknowledgement). We are in room 5627 and 5628. I have no experience with the 5th deck. Does anyone have any input? Have a good week everyone. Angie

We are in cabin rooms 6515 and 6522.

We have Palo brunch for Sun. at 10:30 am.

PV - Las Caletas
Maztlan - Randis Happy Horses
Cabo - Cabo Beach break for the women
- Snorkeling excursion for the men/boys

We're in cabins 5122 and 5127. My parents are in 5129. We loved deck 5. We find it's convenient to everything and doesn't have the long hallways of staterooms other decks have because the theater and kids clubs are on deck 5. I think you'll like it. We did some shopping this weekend ,too

OK.....XLT and I were thinking about the DIS meet today. We have come up with 2 suggestions (but welcome any others).

Idea #1 Deck seven secret deck. (However, our last one there was VERY hot. The way the ship was facing, we were in direct sun. Also there is not any access to a bar.......so that whoever gets his/her docs last can buy the first round.) :rotfl: HEE HEE HEE!!! On the plus side.....we were the only ones there. ;)

Idea #2 Meet in the Promanade lounge. There is more room, but it is not outside, so as you can enjoy the weather. I can only assume that the bar will be open.

Thoughts? Anyone?

Fran

:sunny: We hit 100 degrees yesterday! It's going to be a long summer!

We're on a gty and no cabin has been assigned yet.

Three of us are riding those Happy Horses. We were able to get spots :cheer2: (or I should say horses) I don't remember who was aksing earlier but Randi did say that the weight limit is about 250. I know one of them is 220 - must be the place with the skinny horses ;) DH is not a horse person and will be joining us at Victors. I don't know yet if he'll find his own way over or if he'll transport with us (if there's room).

We're still deciding what to do in PV. The Canopy tour is out. Maybe we'll do the Pirate Boat. Vallarta-Adventures.com offers a wild dolphins and snorkeling trip for $65.00 but they are full of course. It's sounds like the Banderas Bay trip the ship offers for $95.00.

In Cabo I think we're just hanging out. We will have to visit Cabo Wabo and have a Waborita or two.

Angie, I'm with you regarding swimsuit shopping!

Sherry :confused3 :confused3

Great plan for meet! :cheer2: Plan A Secret Deck Seven if it is NOT in the sun, if it IS hot then plan B Promanade lounge. :drinking1
If we go plan A then maybe the person who gets their docs last has to be the one to run and get our drinks. :teeth:
Have we set a time yet? I remember 3 from an earlier thread. Now that we are not doing the ressie rush I am feeling a lot more relaxed about meeting at three. :cool1:
Darcy

Fran,
Thanks for the landsend bathing suit lead. Found one that I can live with. I am a long torso which causes the most problems. I am going to hit the treadmill....

I am so excited that the Magic is moving towards the west coast. I hope to watch it on a webcamera through the panama canal. Hope Veranda Man posts the pictures again. That repo thread was sure fun to watch.

My Dh and I have decided to go down to the port area on May 28 to get a look at "our" ship. I think we'll get the kids really excited about going!! As far as the last person with docks gets to go get drinks and bring them back...well if it's us.. then you guys are watching our kids while we go get the drinks and "hopefully" we can find our way back in a timely manner :teeth: Just kidding. LOL What time was everyone thinking about meeting. I'm all for the least sweaty and hot place as possible and hopefully a kid friendly area..I know it's DCL but I don't know if some places kids are not as welcome. (Our kids are 8,6,2 &1) Just name the place and the time and we'll be there. Amy :flower:
