July 1st. Kong opened with park

Was it open for early entry, or at 8am?
I'm leaving for Universal this afternoon... Guess I better incorporate Kong into my plans. Likely either early Sunday or Monday. (tonight, Daigon Alley, tomorrow morning in Universal Studios, maybe tomorrow night in Islands)

Yippy!!!!! Can't wait to go this Fall. I am wondering the same thing on EP

Silly question, is EP express pass the same as skip the line? Thanks

Thanks Macraven. When you book a room at RPR it says you get to "skip the line". I assume that means you get the express pass.

i know its express pass. question is, does the express line queue still give you a good experience? or do people recommend doing the regular line too. my experience with universal is express pass lines don't usually limit your experience, like single rider lines do.

Definitely a good sign that things are running a lot more smoothly. I'm starting to wonder if there is ever going to be a "grand opening" considering with all the advertising and what not. I say this, as the advertising has been making it appear as if Kong is already open (which yes, it's been, but in "soft opening" mode), but yet, they never done a big event for it yet... Right?

I personally am more excited about the fact that they actually have a single rider line for this attraction, as that typically is the way I go with how I "skip the lines".

pcstang told me tonight there was a single rider and regular line, no express. We arrive tomarrow to join his family, can't wait.

You do miss some good things when you use the express lines

Mummy, ET, Spider-Man, Dr Doom, MIB are the ones I can recall right now

The ep line is shorter than the regular line and you miss some details and good stuff

Single rider line also by passes things in the shorter line, not all, but a few things

We will check again tomorrow. I didn't notice express but I was enjoying the outside of the ride so I wasn't paying attention. Like bluer said, I did see SRL. Wait time said 45 minutes but we were on the ride in 12 minutes.

Yes, that's what they mean.

When I look up the main RPR page from UO it says "SKIP THE REGULAR LINES with Universal Express SM Unlimited ride access* in both theme parks", and through Loews it says "You receive FREE Universal Express Unlimited to skip the regular theme park lines", so they are really explaining it on some pages.

(the bolding and capitalizing was theirs; not mine)

All along, I've read Kong won't offer EP. We booked Sapphire Falls for the end of the month, which doesn't offer the EP. Would be very curious to hear first hand if it definitely does or does not offer the EP. Our thought was to go in at early entry, and get close to the area to get on line when the park opens. I'm sure myself and 5,000 other people have the same thought (lol!).

No EP as of yet and probably not for awhile. It's easier to do it later a night then am right now.

You can see where EP will eventually be done.

thought i read the SRL would be available sometime at Kong..

you know they will want to fill in the empty seats on that ride...
