July 1st. Kong opened with park

thought i read the SRL would be available sometime at Kong..

you know they will want to fill in the empty seats on that ride...

Single rider is open already. Sounds like it isn't the speediest, though, and the queue is not very impressive.

I was there yesterday. Stopped by Kong around 9:30am and the wait was 75 minutes. Right after that they announced it was temporarily closed due to technical difficulties. Went off to do some other things nearby and returned about an hour later and it was running again with a wait time of 45 minutes. No express line. There was a sign for single riders, but it was closed off and everyone was going in the same regular line. The line moved relatively quickly and our actual wait time was closer to 25 minutes when we got on the ride.

The ride itself was good, but it broke down again near the end for about 5 minutes and then we were on our way and finished the ride.

The wait time seemed to stay around 75 minutes throughout the day.

And then it was down most of the day on 7/2 and 7/3, so we didn't get to do it. We thought about doing it on the night of 7/1 but didn't want to wait in line.

All along, I've read Kong won't offer EP. We booked Sapphire Falls for the end of the month, which doesn't offer the EP. Would be very curious to hear first hand if it definitely does or does not offer the EP. Our thought was to go in at early entry, and get close to the area to get on line when the park opens. I'm sure myself and 5,000 other people have the same thought (lol!).

I doubt it. When my father and I went not too long ago, everyone was just walking by, and some barely even glancing at its direction (this was after early entry). But a few people took photos and walked away, while some did question about the ride opening. However, there wasn't a ton waiting and wondering if it was opening like my father and I were. Finally, they noticed us waiting and told us about what was going on and to came back at a certain time (which we did, as instructed).

So, I doubt first thing in the morning "5,000 other people" will be there. It might be a little more since it seems closer to it being official and they are opening it now in the morning, but I doubt there is going to be a flood of people waiting and watching, especially during early entry. They will be too busy focusing on going to Hogsmeade more than likely. Even after early entry, that typically seems a lot of people's focus is going to the Harry Potter sections of the park (whether it's IoA, or USF).

When I rode Kong, I noticed some people walking by the regular queue occasionally. I was puzzled and then remembered there was a line set up for single riders, but still thought, "Naw, they wouldn't be doing it right now? Would they?" But when I got to the official end, I noticed a few people on the side seeming to wait to be loaded onto the ride vehicles.

So, it might be one of those, if you ask, it may, or may not happen things? I mean, they typically do not make it seem all that available on a lot of rides that have single rider lines, since they typically have have people standing in front of it, and make you ask if you can go in.

EDIT: I dun goofed. I didn't mean to double post and quote myself. I was trying to edit that post and reply to macraven's post. >_<

You're good !
Understood what you meant

Anyone done it at park opening or early entry yet? We only have a day and half: one morning only. We won't really have a night, because we are eating at Tchoup Tchoup at 8:30pm. I don't think we will make park close at 10pm. Maybe I should change our ressies. I was thinking of hitting it first thing in the morning. We will have early entry. I was possibly thinking of waiting in line during early entry or part of it anyway.

I'm sorry that I don't know the answer to your question, but I'm curious about this also. Have fun eating at Tchoup Tchoup! We are excited for a meal or two there next week.

We rode it today (Wednesday) at about 8:45 am. It was about a 10 minute wait. We enjoyed the ride! We walked by a few hours later and it was a 60 minute wait.

Thanks. Hopefully, it will be that way for us in about 2 weeks.

We rode back on 6/28 when Kong was opening late afternoon, if at all. Standby wait was 95 minutes, so we opted for single rider. You get a few glimpses of the regular queue as you walk past, but most of the SRL is one long, boring hallway. I was OK with that given 95 min for standby vs about 10 min for SR though.

I imagine they'll get better at pulling small groups from the regular line eventually, but when we rode lots of people from the SRL were filled in as 2's, which was great for us as DD and I rode next to each other, and bonus is SRL fills in end seats, which I think is better than being stuck in the middle of one of the long rows on the huge ride vehicles. I wouldn't hesitate to use SRL again.

which park is it in? where in the park is it located? was it open for early entry? thanks!

ok.we are staying at the new sapphire falls. maybe got IOA first, do the new kong ride (if it is openfor early entry (and hopefully the boats run that early). then take the hogwarts over from IOA to the studios.
I don't think hubby can do forbidden journey with his recent back surgery. ride over check out diagon alley not sure if he can do gringotts...

this is killing him I hate coasters and he loves them he can't do rip tide or hulk or the dueling dragons... well he can but 5 fusions? in nov? not advised..

Kong doesn't seem to be open for early entry yet. It depends when you are going. I think the boats run that early, but we usually walk, so I don't exactly remember. I don't think Hogwart's Express runs during Early Entry. Forbidden Journey is probably out. Gringott's is possibly doable, but I wouldn't advise it. Why take the risk?

HE won't run to the other park unless both parks have EE.

HE usually leaves a about 8:50 and arrives in the other park about the time that park opens for the day.

I forgot about both parks having EE. It's good to know that it will run in that case. Thank
