My husband and I are castaway club members, but I'm not sure if we're going to book that day or not. My parents are going with us, and they've never been, so they have to wait to book, so we might too. When we went on our last cruise, though, the dining rotation was weird, so we rebooked our Palo dinner on the ship, and actually, there was no problem. There were still tons of openings left. So you never know.

I'm not sure what day to do Palo. Any suggestions? We don't want to miss anything great like Pirate Night, so any help there would be appreciated.

The weather is finally moderating here. Back to the 40's this week! I almost have my books ready to turn in to my CPA. One more thing done on my "before I can cruise" list!

Patti, I would think they may have Pirate Night more than once on the ship since it's a 7 Night cruise, does anyone know? When we were on the 3 night last July there was no problem getting a res. at Paolo on the ship as BVC2002 mentioned, especially with 7 nights I don't foresee a problem. My choice of night to eat there would be when we're at sea so dh and I won't be so ehausted from dragging 4 kids on an excursion all day. My dh just asked me the other day if we should become CC members, can anyone tell me what the perks/benefits are? TIA

Don't I WISH I was the big winner! It's in Lincoln, about an hour from me. Home of the Huskers! See, if they played football all year long, I could have been the big winner. I have no idea where that store is, but it COULD have been me!

If the winner is a huge husker fan, maybe the university will get LOTS of money!?!? Would be SO much better if a WILDCAT had one!

The normal 7 Western night schedule is something like this:

Sunday - Key West
Monday - day at sea, Formal Night, Golden Mickeys
Tuesday - Grand Cayman, Twice Charmed
Wednesday - Cozumel - PIRATE NIGHT
Thursday -day at sea, semi-formal, Disney Dreams
Friday - Castaway Cay

Note too that PotC II opens Friday.

I'm thinking Thursday might be really good for Palo. I'm also thinking of the brunch on Monday.

Just don't ever make the mistake of doing Palo dinner then doing the brunch the next day!!!! You'll be forcing yourself to eat!

I spent part of yesterday looking at the food pictures! Holy Cow!! Every minute I'm not eating, I will be in the gym or walking briskly to the next meal.

Let's hope the lottery winner is a Husker fan! Maybe they would like to make my "donation" this year. Wow, would that help me out. I'm just sure that's the first thing they would think of. World hunger.....taking care of Patti's football donation. Decisions! I can hope!

Have been so busy lately but I'm freaking now that we are under 120 days to go!!!!!
Have you done anymore shopping Patti? I seem to be purchasing stuff for the husband, he'll be ready to go but not sure about me and Alexa!?

Hi Lisa! I have started some shopping, but not much luck lately. Jess is about done, but almost nothing for the rest of us. I just told them today that we need to get serious about getting ready. We've been pretty busy too. Just went through high school registration with Sara. It took over an hour to set up all 4 years of her HS education! Some of those classes are SCARY! I'm glad we decided to do the cruise for them this year since I think Sara won't have a free summer until after graduation. They make you sign a paper saying you understand with this program that they won't be able to hold a job, and a minimum of 3 hours of homework each night. AAHHH!

You all are coming up on your payoff date! Especially Deb. She only has a few days left. We are doing ours early so we will be ready to book excursions, etc.

Hi There Everyone

Time for me to join in: my daughter Melissa (themelbob1190) said "hello" months ago!! I have not had tons of "DIS" time lately, but now as we are under the 4 month mark we are really starting the final stages of planning!

DD Melissa is 15, will be 16 in November. It will be her, DH (Dan) and me on this cruise. We did the 3-day Wonder in Oct. 2003 and are now anxiously awaiting our first 7 day.

Looking forward to meeting all of you on the Magic!

I think my DD (alexa) emailed Melissa but I don't think she's heard from her in awhile. Have her emai if she can!

Patti- my goodness about the school thing!!!! Alexa SO needs a job because I told her I can NOT afford her tastes anymore!!! Dance team just ended last week and tryouts are in 2 weeks so this is the only break she's getting!

Yep, pay off day is really soon! I'm going to try and remember to call the credit union this week and have them do a check for me so I can stop thinking about it!

Good morning everyone! It's going to be a beautiful day here today!

Lisa - We have finally started shopping! Not much yet, but we're getting there. I'm going to have to take them out to my mom's since Jess wants to wear them all now.

I think even my DH is getting excited. He wouldn't say that, but he's doing research on how many ships are in port the same time we are.

Once we get under 100 days, it's going to fly! I will probably be in full panic mode by then.

I will definitely tell Melissa to e-mail Alexa again. I know she did a while back, but schoolwork keeps her so busy. I'm sure you can relate!

So have any of you guys decided on any excursions? I have been trying to get my family in some sort of agreement, as time is rapidly coming up on booking time

I think we are ok with Key West, and Grand Cayman. It's Cozumel that's the problem, especially as I am not convinced with what I am reading on these boards, that we are even going there! So I have been reading up on Costa Maya.......

What are you all planning on doing?

Hi Nancy. Excursions are next on my To Do list. I will try to tackle that this weekend. I am having my TA look into the Cozumel thing, and as they have said on the boards, Disney is saying nothing concrete. Here is what they put out.

LAST UPDATE: 2/24/06 - DISNEY CRUISE LINES - WESTERN CARIBBEAN - 2006

-- Hurricane Wilma passed directly over the island of Cozumel. While the island of Cozumel is recovering, Disney will be unable to call on this port. Therefore, Disney has made changes to its 7-night Western Caribbean itinerary cruises at least through March 25, 2006.


They suggested she contact them again after the end of the month. We have also started looking at Costa Maya, just in case.

I had told Melissa I would have my girls (13 & 14) email her, and things just got out of hand for a while. Now that things have settled down some, I will have them email her. Lisa - has Sara emailed Alexa lately? I doubt it. She has been pretty focused on school lately. She's starting to relax a little as they are in the home stretch now. She has one more grade she needs to add a few points to in order to end up with a 4.0 GPA. I think she is 2 points shy. It's freaking her out!

We are possibly expecting snow this weekend! We are only 10 days from spring!

Hey girls!

No, I don't think Alexa has had an email in awhile. She does not get on here much since she's busy but have them email away and she'll be on sooner or later! Dance team tryouts are next Friday so needless to say, it'll be very stressful around here for a few more days!

I don't know about Cozumel either yet, and hard to get to excited about anything since we may not even end up there?!

I THINK I found my formal dress today On the clearance rack of course! I'll try it on again and make sure I want to keep it.

Patti-I've stopped listening to the weather men here because they are always wrong!!

I'm going to pay off the cruise next week!
My cruise-fund-account sure will get small very fast!!!!

Hey ya'll I check in every couple of days here but don't post much. We have so much going on - we've finally sold our house, already bought another one (last Nov.) and the whole house is being re-done since it was built in 1973 and everything was original (think Brady bunch house ha ha). We've been busy every weekend shopping for new furniture, fixtures etc. We are going to Hawaii for 10 days mid. April for dh's friend who is getting married (12 hours on a flight with a 19 mo. and 3 yo. ughhhhh!) and in between a sweet 16 and ds 3rd birthday party. Oy vey. I need to start shopping for some summer clothes in the worst way! Does formal need to be long gowns? I have a beaded knee length from a 2000 cruise that I may try and fit into, I've been on Atkin's but I am soooooo not even close to squeezing into that yet!

Nooo, no need for a long dress for formal night! I've never worn a long one and don't think I'd be too comfortable in one!
I've always worn just a short, or knee length black dress!

I can't even concentrate anymore! Getting TOO excited!!!!
