Safe travels to everyone today! Congrats Greg on your second pirate! We had lunch there yesterday. DTD at 11 is nice by 1, it was busy. Which was fine we were leaving by then. Sad to walk through pleasure island, empty and underutilized.

Not sure what our plans are for today, no one is awake yet. We may just roll out of bed and into the pool.

Thanks! Yeah, DTD gets brutally busy right around lunch time. I usually take the girls earlier for lunch (Earl's gets packed fast, with no place to sit), and then we people watch and shop.

And don't be too sad over Pleasure Island. With City Walk here, it's better if Disney stops trying to compete, and turns it into a family area. I'm pretty excited about seeing the new plans!

Just not a good time for aviation jobs period I agree, MCO would be a great home for maintenance because besides the infrequent hurricanes, we have great weather...no worries of too much snow! Delta is just concentrating more flights in the Northeast right now. BUT even though DH has been out sick for 2 weeks.....he read on their website that as of Sept they are cutting back some of those flights and just going to layoff more. Feel bad for the people who just relocated there to only hear they are going to have to relo again. I'm very happy with our decisions.

I've talked to Marcy about what we'd do if she had to relocate, and I pretty much think it's been decided that, save some sort of miracle job in a some perfect place, we're stuck here for the long haul. I used to hate Florida, and even took a few trips to the PacNW to see if it was some place that I wanted to live. But then we met some new friends that started taking us on all the back trails, and I realized that, not only does Florida have Disney and the theme parks, but it's also got some great character if you take the back roads, and a lot of great history to explore. I still loathe the heat of summer, and the lack of Autumn (which I live for, being a Midwestern boy), but I can put up with that for the advantages, I think.

Have you ever been over to Fort Christmas for their Cracker Festival? I think that was the turning point for me... I loved that!

I am mostly packed. Mostly being the key word, but the car will be packed up tonight, so no excuses!

We leave in about 1 hr. for the airport. I've been up since about 3AM, couldn't sleep - like a little kid!!!!!

Question: How the heck do the airlines expect us to pack everything we need for 10 days into 1 bag per person. DH, of course, has the answer. They don't. They want to you bring another bag so they can charge you for it!!! Pretty soon we'll be buying disposable clothing.

DH isn't too upset about stuffing our bags. It's that much less we can buy while we are there!!!!!

We were discussing packing last night and I told DH that we should all wear as many clothes as possible and we can just take them off when we get there to save on luggage space. All he said is won't they be wrinkled? I had to explain about the form and bag to get things ironed. I love to do laundry but I draw the line when it comes to ironing.

There is that wrinkle release stuff. Never heard of it until my oldest went away to college. Of course, that is a liquid over 3.2 ounces in volume and cannot be brought on the airplane. Therefore, it will cost $30 RT to check a bag just for the liquids over 3.2 ounces. I'll pay to have someone else iron. Let's make a deal I'll do the laundry and you can iron

You can always just call our stateroom and borrow ours. We bring an oil drum full of it. My idea of doing laundry is to wash it, dry it, then dump it into a laundry basket until I've used everything in it... repeat. I'm either wearing a wrinkled shirt, or a slightly less wrinkled shirt covered in wrinkle release.

What time does the ship sail? We're thinking of grills for dinner tonight. There's 3 ships we can see from our balcony, the wonder, a carnival and another line. By the time we're at the terminal preparing to board, I stop paying attention to the time, so I don't know what is the scheduled leave time.
