Hi all! One part of the Houston/Gulf Coast contingent checking in.

John's plant (BP) is in the beginning stages of emergency preparedness, we'll do an advance evac to San Antonio as early as Wednesday. He's part of the emergency communications team command center. We'll know tomorrow.

Add to the fun, I'm still in jury duty - closing arguments are tomorrow, so hopefully, we won't continue into Wednesday with deliberations. I'd prefer to go with him instead of trying to follow later.

I too think the antelope is very cool. I love converstation pieces. I have some hippos that are kind of a conversation piece. Then the boney dog in front of our TV "T-Bone" has been in the family for about 30 years!

Congratulations Lucy on the three day.........you'll have to give us a full report and YES, she will sail on time with you guys on board!

Well, Fatphil got "flattened" at his FB game last night. He has a slight concussion. This is his 2nd in two years. At some point we will know why he acts like he does!!

Oh, Monica, think of all that money you made, while on jury duty - our county pays us $9.00 per day, plus gas mileage....last time I got a check for $14!!!!

Back to School Night.....I feel, once that night is over, school is officially begun....a funny, kindof, since I've been to Tyler's school, I know so much more that is going on in his classes - it gets him very angry! When he says, no homework, I know differently

Getting injured in football is FUN! Heck, I get injured everytime I'm in NYC.....falling off the curbs....it is NOT a pretty site.

I'm free and off a civil case (on a jury since August 27) - just in time!

Let's just say - what attorney (Plaintiff) in their right mind would use his (the plaintiff's attorney) father as an expert witness?????!!!!

The advance command center team for John's plant is evacuating to San Antonio - we're leaving as soon as the kids get home from school. I'll report in when I can...

I was going to say, "THREE Joanns" would be waaay too many to keep track of. Nope, wasn't my birthday yet - it was our anniversary. I'm a Libra - gotta wait until Oct. 6

Back to school night is tomorrow night here. I just finished hosting an Iftaar for Ramadan. (Burkina is a predominately Muslim country.) Because we are in Ramadan and at the end of the fiscal year, I will have some event every night for the next three weeks. Keep me in your thoughts!!!!

But not as much as those in the path of Ike! I'll be praying for them!

my family of 14 is also on this cruise. Havent posted much because I was too busy with the EBPC cruise. But now that thats over - I can focus on TORTOLA. Can someone tell me where I can get that Mutiny on the Magic icon - I love it.
