This is way more than you'll ever want to know about us, but since I never post and I'll never get the pirate:, I wrote ALOT.

1. I (Laurie), an OCD Virgo, am old enough to have worn knee socks as a fashion statement, not part of a soccer uniform, 'Dittos' pants, 'prairie skirts', and ponchos knitted in a pattern universal to grandmothers.

2. DH (Lindsay, 47), a stubborn Taurus, and I married in 1991(bachelorette party at Disneyland), and had fraternal twin DDs (Gemini, appropriately) in 1995.princess: princess:

3. Sometime during the years since becoming a stay-at-home Mom, I lost my brain, although I’m not sure how it happened, since it didn’t leave any scars. I suspect it may have something to do with breast milk, or stretchmarks.:rolleyes1

4. I am a recovering Virtual Magic Kingdom addict. Actually, I aspire to be recovering. Currently I am still mourning my avatar’s cuteness (she even looked cute in a bathing suit), magic, rooms and possessions, and virtual friends. I consider it a step forward that I am able to patronize the cruise line run by the very company who so cruelly pulled the plug on little Smackeralchick, ripping me from my virtual Disney world. Oh yeah, the twins played as well, but are seemingly able to go on with their lives.:sad2:

5. We’re in Southern California, so I grew up going to Disneyland several times a year, but we took our first trip to "The World" in 2003. We went back twice in 2006, and celebrated New Year's 2007 with our first cruise on the Wonder. We have decreased our Disneyland visits from monthly, when the DD s were little, to bi-monthly. Ha! Take that, Disney profit machine. Okay, so I’m still bitter about Disney closing VMK…

6. We enjoy making fun of people on TV--like Kate of “Jon & Kate + 8”, the poor contestants on Wipeout and The Amazing Race, and the tuneless (and Paula Abdul) on American Idol. :lmao: We also watch Lost, Pushing Daisies, House, CSI, and Cold Case.popcorn::

7. DDs and I each have our favorite Disboards threads and read daily. DD Katie has read every Trip Report and probably knows more about these people’s vacations than they do. My latest fave is “A Cockroach Biting My Butt…A Trip Report.”:surfweb:

8. I love Christmas, and our decorations (except the tree) go up at Thanksgiving. We even have a 40 foot long Happy Meal toy garland for the banister. What do other people do with Disney Happy Meal Toys?

9. I think that life should be like a musical, with people bursting into song every few minutes. I have been bitterly disappointed, but do my part by singing songs from Wicked, Mamma Mia, Enchanted, and whatever else pops into my head, whenever I feel like it. DD Katie counters me with Camp Rock, Hannah Montana and High School Musical. DD Chelsea alternates between humiliation and joining in on Wicked and Mamma Mia. DH goes to work a lot. :scared:

10. We are cruising with you all to celebrate DD Chelsea’s finishing 2 ½ years of treatment for leukemia in May 2009.:dance3: :jumping1: :woohoo: :grouphug:

Welcome back and keep us posted about your DD, we'll be ready to celebrate with you on the ship next summer!!

We will move up Chelsea's recovery as the #1 celebration in this group!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:
In fact, she will get a celebration EVERY NIGHT!:woohoo: :woohoo:
I also sing the Mamma Mia songs (listening right now!), but only when I'm home alone - a request by the family:lmao: :lmao:

Good morning everyone! I have a question, who all knows each other from a previous cruise here? It seems like a lot of you were friends before this thread.

Oh, and if you could vote for my DH and I on youtube today that would be great! The contest ends soon, and I'm still hoping to win a trip to DL!
