Okay, I have a question for you all. We haven't booked yet because we are still waiting to see if we're renting our DVC points or using them on the cruise. Well it seems the price of our cruise has gone up about $600 in about 2 weeks!!! Is it going to keep going up at this rate?!!?

When we were on the Wonder in June, we looked into rebooking onboard to get the discount. The rep said - NO WAY - that the Tortola sailings were very popular and she had seen the price steadily increase since the cruise began - only THREE days earlier!!!!!! :scared1: :scared1:

Definitely book as soon as possible and if the price goes down, you can get a refund.

If you can use your DVC points, that might be better at this point, I don't those points go up over time. :confused3 Hope that helps! My parents just booked on points a few weeks ago.:woohoo:

Hello-
I'm just checking in here to say hello. You'll get to know me after October. That's when our 2nd DCL vacation is over and I can start planning our July 2009 vacation!

We're in Disney right now...well, I should say, we are in Universal right now....will move over to Disney early Wednesday morning....AKLV, then the Boardwalk villas on Sunday.

IF anyone needs us to check on anything for you while we are here...let us know - we will be happy to check anything out for you.:grouphug:

We went on the Atlantis beach day excursion and I was very disappointed. Atlantis as a resort was neat and the aquarium was cool (albeit a little smaller than I expected given all the hype). We didn't want to do any of the water park stuff because the kids are really too little to justify the expense.

But I guess I was just picturing something nicer from Disney. The description says that you get your own reserved lounge chair and towel and that Atlantis is a cashless resort so no need to bring any money, etc. I was picturing a nice relaxing beach oasis. We had to walk a mile to get to the beach, down several flights of stairs with the stroller. The kids had to use the bathroom, but the "guide" refused to stop saying that there were restrooms near the beach (obviously she's never had a 3 year old who just HAD to go!) The beach was nice - but not tranquil like CC. The waves bothered the small kids and you had to walk about 100 yards across the hot sand to get to where the chairs were. None of them were reserved - it was first come, first served. There were no umbrellas (unless you had $30 in cash to pay one of the beach guys - so much for cashless), so no shade for the baby. Then you had to walk all the way to the other side of the resort to eat at a McDonald's style walk-up window. Definitely NOT worth the $65/person fee Disney charged us!

Next time - we'll stay on the ship in Nassau.

Wow, thanks for the input. Crazy amount of money for a beach day! I have nothing scheduled so far........we'll see!:confused3

Hi again, i just thought of something. If you look on the Cruise Meets, most cruise meets have a name. Someone here, I'm sure, is creative enough to give our group a name! (On my Oct 4th meet, we are named "Buccaneers Take the West!!) We even have a sign made esp for our cruise!
Think about it & see if we can get our gruop a name!!

Have a nice night, all!!

I think it's time for a trip logo.............who knows how to do that? Maybe I could ask my oldest DD and see if she could make us one..........anyone else have an idea?

I'm booked!!!! :cool1:  :yay: :cheer2:

I went through Dreams Unlimited and got a much lower rate then I could get on the Disney website. We are in a Cat 12 guaranteed room. I don't mind being in the cheapest room as long as I'm on that beautiful boat!

As for a logo for our group, I've designed many iron-ons for t-shirts over at TGM. If we come up with a name, I can come up with a logo!

OK- I'm booking tomorrow morning! We also are booking with Dreams Unlimited. They have been very helpful so far! I'm a teacher-so the summer is it for me! We just got back from OKW last week. (so sad) But by researching and booking this cruise has made it better!
This is our 3rd Disney cruise..but first 7 day cruise. So excited!

ANOTHER TEACHER!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
Welcome Eeyore!
We are presently in WDW - my favorite place on earth - even though the parks are crowded, we LOVE being here and, mostly at the resorts - we are presently at Animal Kingdom Villas and then move over to Boardwalk Villas on Sunday - meeting another DISer from this thread - jlawall - tonight for dinner, over at Universal.....(IF she returns my call, that is - do 'ya think she is trying to avoid me, gang?:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: )

Off to Magic Kingdom - probably won't ride anything, due to the crowds and lateness of the morning - 9:00 - but, i just enjoy 'being there':cloud9:

How about...

Master and Commander
The Far Side of Tortola

or

Mutiny on the Magic
We're takin' 'er to Tortola

Surely "Mutiny on the Magic" has been used before, though.

Hi everyone! My travel mates will be my dh-48, ds-11,dd-4 and my mom..who is a retired TEACHER too! I teach second grade, so I can handle the young ones! Certainly some type of project-especially when we are at the spa!:thumbsup2 :teacher:

I like that too!

Our Halloween cruise last year was "Cruising around the moon - an All Hallows Adventure". We had the full moon and halloween too. We had bracelets made and all involved had the same door decorations with our DIS names so we could find each other after our meet at the sail away party.
