Ok You win
Right Sorry VMK is Virtual Magic Kingdom. Its a disney online game which you can find a thread for about halfway down the main dis board. I guess I should have explained better. :sad2: I will try to do better Still earning my ears you know

No wonder, Lucy guessed right.........I guess you have to be a "mom of boys" to know the video game lingo..............:goodvibes

ARG would sombody PLEASE make the rain go away.
Question for you big cruisers out there - any of you cruised in the caribbean in July? Is is uncomfortably hot? We didn't have any choice in the time of year for this cruise and am a little worried.

We did a 4 day in July in 2006. I didn't think it was too hot (but then again I hate the cold and love the heat). When you're on the ship you have the nice sea breezes. It was hot at CC but I just pulled my chair to the water's edge and relaxed.

It's supposed to rain here all day (heavy at times). Possibly starting out as an icy mix. Only 2 more months of winter and 3 months until I can go to the world again.

It is 7:35 AM and pouring
my DS has a day off from school - cancelled already at 6 AM (very unusual for our school to cancel, and not have a delay).:sad2:

I only knew VMK because of working at the university and the kids there talked about it when they came in my office (they knew my Disney obsession)....my kids have never done it (too calm for them, all about Halo and other fighting video games for them....oh, good news, our Xbox 360 broke....Bob and I are SO HAPPY - it has been so calm and quiet in the house!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: )

Eileen: at least it is only RAIN for you - we must deal with the ice until after March (and snow if we ever see it!)

Safe day to everyone:grouphug:

That's true. Hated the freezing rain when we lived In MD. And today we finally have sun - just in time to repair the fence in the backyard before the Superbowl! They are out there now replacing it:banana:
We have 35 ppl (but only 18 adults) coming over to squeeze around our TV and I am glad that pool the neighbors have will be behind a fence tonight.

Thanks for the July weather update. Sounds like it will be just fine :cool1:

Eileen,

We did the 7 day Western and the 4 day Wonder in July. The sea breezes are wonderful but it is very humid. All in all, a great time to sail, especially since the seas are usually calm as well.

Maryann

I almost always sailed in late July in the Caribbean, we did it many years in a row, I do love the sun and heat and we never had a bad trip, if you go too late, the rains start and to me that is much worse than heat........wish it was me this summer!!!:thumbsup2

sailed in July and August - never had a problem with heat...would rather have the heat than the cold as it was in Mexico the last day of sailing in August 2005. Honestly, it was NEVER, EVER too hot on the islands, well, maybe Naussau, but that island is NOT worth sweating in.....we stay on the ship,
although, has anyone done the Atlantis?

OKay, confession here - we are....kindof.....ah, doing a RCCL cruise this summer, 4 day, July 21.....PLEASE don't blast, but, darn it, we can't afford the 4 day Wonder and we were aching for a cruise, what else is left.....we just can't wait till next year. After the cruise we'll go to Disney for 7 days.
BUT, nothing, but NOTHING, will stop us from The Magic next year. I just wish i could see in the future and know what the ships are doing 2010.:yay:

HeHe Ok Ok I won't worry anymore! It seems to be unanomous (is that spelled right?). July is gonna be great. Our only other cruise was in Jan. and frankly, Castaway Cay was a little cold and windy.

And MaryAnn- when does the fluff start cuz that pirate is mine :dance3:
(uh huh - you hear a challenge)

and thank you too to Starwood for the update!

Laurie, where are you from.....seems some of us (namely ME) like complaining about the cold weather and seeing where everyone is from....(and happy for the other DISers from the west coast, and southern USA):woohoo:

My name is Darthvader92 (Matt) and I'm better known as starwood's DS. I'm 15 and I will be our "Videographer" during our trip. For anyone that does know of Window To the Magic Podcast, I "in words" work with them. Anyway, I'll also be incharge of planning a big DIS Meet on this cruise! I'm still working it together either making it a meet at the Promenade Lounge or a nice breakfeast at Topsiders. Give me some ideas!

:disrocks:

Fantastic..........we'll be up for anything!! :goodvibes

we'll be there - you just tell me when and where (oh, try to make it on The Magic, ok?:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Try to make it somewhere I can bring our son, who will be 17 at the time of sailing (SEVENTEEN - OMG, I'm getting old)!!!!:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:
He is kindof shy (like his mother:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 ....we won't ask JoAnn about that!:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: ) in meeting people on his own, so it would be a great opportunity to meet at the very beginning of the cruise, ok?:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Thanks Matt for doing this - this is getting to more fun - and it is 17 months away:dance3: :dance3:
