Hi Everyone!

DH was teasing me that I hadn't posted on this yet - I love to talk & he knows me way toooooo well!

Here goes:
1. My name is Joann and I'm 33 years old. DH is Aaron and 35 years old. Yep, I got an older guy!!!! We have been married almost 11 years.

2. We have three daughters - Caitie (very shy) is 6 (almost 7), Alex (not shy, but likes to pretend she is) is 4, and Grace (never stops smiling) is 1 1/2. We also have three cats and a rabbit - so it's definitely a full house!

3. I am the Public Affairs Officer of the U.S. Embassy here in Ouaga. DH is our computer guy. (I married a techie so I didn't have to be one! ) I have been in the Foreign Service for 11 years and we've been here in Ouaga for two.

4. DH and I met on a blind date. We were set up by a colleague at work. She told me that she knew this great guy that I should meet. I told her that I would go as long as his name wasn't Aaron (the name of my first boyfriend). She said he was sorry - that was his name! I took that as a sign and the rest is history.

5. We don't own DVC - we looked into it, but because we're overseas and travel is tough sometimes - it wasn't a good deal for us. That said - we do like Disney - and can't wait to get onboard the Magic!

6. DH got me hooked on DIS before our first cruise this summer. We had so much fun with the Fish Extenders and learning all the neat little tricks - that I couldn't give it up! I can't wait to meet this very lively group in person! (Who's going to win that Konch Kooler for pronouncing Ouagadougou correctly?????? )

7. My birthday is October 6 (Libra), DH is February 6 (Aquarius), and we were married on September 6. Yep - that's 666. But never fear because DD#1 was born on the 18th...6x3!!!!! (Oh - all my due dates were the sixth too!!! ) DD#1 - Libra, DD#2 - Saggitarius, DD#3 - Capricorn.

8. I love people and traveling. Must be why I'm in public relations and have lived on almost every continent! In fact, I love talking so much that I can do it in four languages! (English, French, Spanish, & Russian)

9. I'm an Air Force brat - so I'm not really "from" anywhere. I was born in California. Lived in Florida, Arkansas, Illinois, Nebraska, DC, & Virginia - in the U.S. AND France, Kazakhstan, El Salvador, and Burkina Faso - overseas. By the time we are on the cruise we will have an assignment to yet another overseas post. (It's my fault that the DIS state list had to be expanded to include countries. ) DH is from Virginia and joined me on my aimless wanderings after 20+ years in the same house.

10. And I have waaaaaaaaaay too much fun with the dancing smilies on the DIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Where is everyone??? Starwood (Nancy) can you remind me how to load your logo in the signature? I think you copy it to your computer, right click properties and then copy/paste it to the signature page. Is that right?

My DD hasn't gotten back to me, so let's keep the logo unless someone has a better idea.............of course, we can change it if we need to...........sound good?

I think you need to load it onto a website like photobucket. That's what I do. I copy it to the computer and then put it on photobucket. There is then a link to copy and paste into you sig.

JoAnn (the overseas one - we gotta figure out a distinguisher for this!) FOUR languages????????? I have trouble with English (guess that's what happens when you are born in the hills of the midwest!) Amazing!

Kristina - I am sure DS14 (fatphil32) will enjoy meeting your husband. He plays football and is constantly studying NFL players.....loves fantasy football!

Ok, who's next............Starwood???..................(Nancy?)

1. I'm Nancy. I'm 51 and a Disaholic. My DH is Mike and he is 52.

2. We met right after I graduated High School at a party given by a mutual friend. We never met even though we lived in the same town but he went to Catholic school and I went to public.

3. My DS Matt is 16 and just got his driving permit.

4. We bought into DVC about 4 years ago and are kicking ourselves for not doing it sooner.

5. My first trip to Disney was in 1974. It was a graduation present from my parents. I graduated high school and my brother graduated college. So we drove down from NJ in July in a car with no air conditioning .

6. My birthday is November 7th, DH is June 7th and DS is July 24th.

7. We have 3 cats and 1 beagle (Elvis).

8. August 25th is the start of Band season for DS. He has band camp that week 8-5 everyday. Then when school starts the Wednesday after labor day it's every Wednesday after school and football games on the weekends.

9. I'm going through the house looking for things to sell on ebay so I'll be able to pay for this cruise.

10. Robnkris - I'm dying to get a wii fit but they are so hard to find and I have to pay off some medical bills before I can commit to hit. Let me know how you like it.

Since DW (3princessMommy) included my bio info in her ten things, I'll add a few different things.

1. I'm a big sports fan, college football and basketball (UVA), NFL (Redskins), and MLB (Nationals but also a long-time Cards fan). I also play fantasy baseball and football each season.

2. I make a living working on computers, but most of the time I hate the darn things. Good thing they are so complicated - gives me some job-security.

3. As mentioned, my birthday is Feb 6 - yep that makes me an Aquarius, too.

4. I refuse to use smilies and emoticons in my posts. DW uses enough for both of us.

5. DW and I have been on three other cruiselines: Norwegian to the Eastern Caribbean (honeymoon), Rennaisance (went out of business and ships are under new management) to Greek Isles and Turkey, Holland American to Alaska (great, relaxing cruise!!!). This summer on the Wonder was our first cruise with the kids.

6. Since finding the DIS last year just prior to our Disneyland Paris (not called Euro Disney anymore) trip, I know more about WDW than I ever thought I'd know.

7. We went to WDW and stayed at SOG, one of the MK resorts. We followed TGM's recommendations and avoided EMH parks, but tried to make RD everywhere except AK. Kids loved the BBB at DTD. Made last minute changes to the plan and visited DHS (which is good because DD7 loves HSM2), and afterward went to the P&PP. We met a nice couple on the bus and ran into them three times that week, which just goes to show that IASM after all.

8. I love DIS acronyms.

9. We have a small colony of bats living in a mango tree in our garden.

10. Last year's visit to Disneyland Paris was our kids' first Disney experience. It's really a beautiful park, that I recommend visiting if you are ever in the neighborhood. But it is much smaller than WDW and can be done thoroughly in about 4 days. (here are a few photos)

OMG, this is so weird.....Krista.........my DH's birthday is .........May 7th and my youngest DD's bday is..........May 21st!!! Remind me where you're from again? Also, my youngest just started at Drexel yesterday, where she'll play soccer!!!

We also teach the same grade..........4th!!! You have made a great choice in booking the DCL Magic..........I fell in love in 1999 and have sailed almost every year since 2002.......it's a wonderful addiction!

We are practically twins!!! LOL! I'm from Kansas.

I really like it so far. DH and I are training for the Disney marathon and I think this will be fun to do on our off days. I did 30 minutes today.

Woohoo, my turn.

1. My name is John & I'm 14 years old [15 come time of the cruise].

2. I was born on December 1st, 1993. That makes me a sagittarius.

3. I was born in Bloomington, Indiana & still currently live here. I go to Edgewood High School which is in Ellettsville & I'm a freshman.

4. I pretty much live in Cincinnati on the weekends during baseball & football season.

5. I'm a huge sports fan. I mostly follow college football [Arizona State, Florida State, Indiana, & a little Clemson], NFL [Cinncinati Bengals], MLB [Cincinnati Reds], snowboarding [Shaun White].

6. I play Center & Defensive Tackle for my football team. It's misleading, though, because we are so small that I have to play line, which is normally where really big kids play. Next year the coaches said I will be playing Wide Reciever & Linebacker. I also snowboard, which is my favorite sport. I do play baseball, as well. I'm a First Baseman.

7. I love chillin' with my friends. Every weekend I'm out doing something, wether it be going to a driving range & golfing, going to the movies, or just hangin' at one of their houses.

8. Disney World is one of my favorite plays to go on vacation. We have been DVC members since 2001 [year?] & our home resort is the Boardwalk. I like chillin' at the hotel more than going to the parks, though.

9. My favorite rides at each of the parks are: Magic Kingdom, Space Mountain & The Carousel of Progress; Epcot, Soarin'; Hollywood Studios, Tower of Terror; Animal Kingdom, Expedition Everest.

10. Cruising is easily my favorite way of vacation. I have been on five cruises [Carnival Paradise twice, Carnival Triumph, & the Disney Magic twice]. Next years cruise will be my sixth. I love cruising so much, that when I graduate from college, I want to work as a bartender on a cruise ship for a few years, before becoming a cruise critic & being known as "The Cruise Guy." DH & I married during college. We were both 19. (We were both 50 this year). If my kids wanted to marry today at 19 I'd tell them they were nutty . Times are different today, though. Yep, we beat the odds. But then, I am married to the greatest man on the planet (sorry gentlemen). After all, with all the Aquarians on this thread, you know your mate has to be wonderful to put up with you. However, as we know, Aquarians are a fun bunch, aren't we!!!
