I knew it was on the sea days, I just didn't know what the last time was - we had late seating on the previous two cruises, I just don't remember the brunch times. I do know the assigned days will depend on your rotation and early breakfast = early dining, late breakfast = late dining.

I just found out Mike DS14 made the finals in the 1600 for the District track meet held tomorrow.

That's the great part about running distance - no prelims straight to finals!!!!

Of course, Maggie dd11 isn't happy, that means she has to go to lacrosse practice tonight instead of watching the prelim heats of the track meet

Search is working! I found this information on another thread just now.

Your character breakfast will usually be on the first sea day after your first meal at Animator's Palatte. If that's true, we wouldn't be able to find out until boarding when we get the dining rotation.

I found this posted on my travel agent's website...

On the eastern if your 1st night restaurant on the Eastern is Parrot Cay then your breakfast is on Sunday. Lumiere's Monday and Animator's on Thursday.

Now if we only knew our rotations, for those of us who are obsessive planners who don't want to plan Palo brunch on the same day.

We were on the Magic last year and I remember something about a character breakfast but there wasn't anyone in our group that was under 18 so we passed. My memory just isn't what it used to be.

Big weekend...........baseball season begins on Monday!!!It's like Christmas to me! We will be in Cincinnati all weekend enjoying the fun that goes along with it. The kids won't be in school since we do prearranged absence. We will go to the parade and game on Monday!

We haven't done the Character breakfast on the cruise even with kids. We get too lazy!!

We did the character breakfast on our Western a few years ago. It was the morning after we ate at Animators. I don't remember if it was a sea day or not, there are fewer of those on a Western. I think it might have been our 1st morning which was Key West. We are early risers so it wasn't an issue but not all the tables were full.

This would agree with what I also read: that on the Western cruise they count Key West as a sea day for the purpose of the character breakfast. I guess because there are fewer actual sea days.

If anyone hasn't found the sticky FAQ thread (http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2068966), check it out - there's lots of information about everything.

Here's what they say about dining rotations:

Dining Rotations - You will not know your dining rotation until you check in at the Port. It will be noted on your KTTW card. These are examples of rotations that were used on recent cruises to give you some idea of the possibilities.

7 day Eastern Cruises [per 2/28/09]
LAPLAPL 5:30 and 8:00
APLAPLA 5:45 and 8:15
PLAPLAP 6:00 and 8:30

The people who analyse this stuff to death (like me) seem to like the PLAPLAP rotation on the Eastern since it would put you in Lumiere's on night 2 for Formal Night, and Parrot Cay on night 4 for Pirate Night. Some also suggest that you can request a particular rotation in your reservation. There's no guarantee that you'd get it, but probably no harm in requesting.
