:guilty:Feeling left out because we're not doing FEs. Initially, I was going to but then life got so hectic and I ended up working this summer so I knew it would ended be a stressor for me. Maybe I'll see you all around anyway.:)

Please come to the DISmeet at Studio Sea at 12:15pm on Sunday.......we would love to meet you, just bring a grab bag and I'll bring the name tags and markers so we can all meet...........

That's what I was telling my kids, too. Once you've seen Disney's fireworks, all July 4th festivities pale in comparison.

Of course, none of that compares to seeing fireworks shot from the bow of the Disney cruise, but still...
I like feeling we get a private fireworks show. I guess we do. ;)

Oh my gosh... look what Miss Mermaid posted today....

The following quote is from DD16 and may not necessarily reflect the views of upper level management:

"Anything you can do, I can do better"

.... and from upper level management

Thank-you I am :rotfl2: I so needed the laugh I got form your response.

Anything????? Princess?

I have a receipt from Ziggy's Live Flamingo Rentals on Tortola that says otherwise!

285 hours till we leave!!!

I was sitting at watching the twopalms webcam yesterday and wondered why I didn't see the magic go by. Then I saw this thread.

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2220885

I was over there yesterday at my sister's house. It was nasty out, raining really hard. So much for the "beautiful" forcast with no rain in sight! :confused3 Anyway, then headed back to Orlando about 6 for our neighborhood fireworks display (yes you can by all the illegal stuf here as long as you sign a paper saying it is to be used to get the birds out of your crops). That lasted till midnight and I'm tired as the dogs get me up at 6:30 no matter what. :scared1:

The fireworks were very nice. We live on a hill so we can see many displays. WDW has ruined it for me though, I like WDW's fireworks the best. My DD called disappointed that they canceled the fireworks where she is due to light winds and the boats. I reminded her that in less than 2 weeks she can see the EPCOT fireworks and then there's Pirate Night. She was happy.

I said exactly the same thing to my DH last night. We were going to watch the Macy's NYC fireworks on the TV, but watching fireworks on the TV is nothing like the real thing. Plus the way Disney does it, I don't think there can be better.

I wonder if they still shoot fireworks on the cruises at sea? Anyone know?

Time for Me,

Please join us at the meet. We'd love to see you!

Not yet - strangely enough with all the rain the bug population doesn't seem too bad.

SEEEEEEEE... I told you all it was dusty! :goodvibes (BTW - Burkina is just to the east of Senegal on this map.)

BOMA is one of the restaurants inside the Animal Kingdom Lodge. African themed with African inspired food. Very very good....

"Boma is a family restaurant serving breakfast and dinner. It will capture the essence of vibrant life in the African marketplace. This family-fun buffet restaurant provides guests the ability to savor the African experience, which has multicultural influences. The restaurant showcases an exhibit kitchen, wood-burning grill and rotisserie.

This is an all you can eat experience, but unlike traditional buffet lines, where you start at one end and work your way across...Boma offers "pods". Each pod has a selection of food and generally a chef nearby to answer questions."

I'd be lying if I didn't say mine was the prime rib. I hate to sound so... American, but it's really the best I've ever had. To be fair, though, I have to eat it with the spicy red pepper sauce they have sitting next to it, so I guess that Africas it up a bit. :)

Other than that, I love the falafel/yogurt sauce, as well as pretty much all the soups. The latter is especially odd for me because I really pretty much hate ALL soups, but they're all so perfectly flavored that I usually end up having a couple of bowls. There's also that ginger soup, but I usually categorize that in the "dessert" section. :)

But there really isn't ANYTHING they have that I don't love, and I eat at least a small bit of pretty much everything when I go. (Ugh... I'm starting to drool)

And then dessert. I'm always stuffed by the time I get to it, but I don't care... Zebra domes and bread pudding for the win! :)

Of course, there's recipes for all this stuff on various Disney sites, and they've always been really good about giving me the recipes for things that I might want, but it's just never the same making it at home. It's like they sprinkle pixie dust on it or something.
