I am having a tough time coming up with something for the grab bag was well. I'll figure something out in the next week. :upsidedow

I do have that information on my spreadsheet - do you want that included? I used it to keep track of what I was doing. Now I've shipped some of my gifts and I didn't write down how many I put in the box. Hope there's enough!!

Please! I wanted to make sure I have enough for everyone, especially the kids, big and little ;)

Did I read somewhere that the grab bag amount for Sunday's meet was $20-ish?

Is it cheating if our grab bag is Disney themed because we're from Orlando? :) ::MickeyMo:earboy2:

Would it be even more cheating if we just picked up the grab bags at the grab bag station at Downtown Disney?

Where is the grab bag station at DTD?

In all honesty, they might have stopped doing it. They haven't been there the past couple of times I went. But if you're going and want to look for yourself, they're always in the little hallway connected to the Pooh store. There's a sign for everything $10 and under, and they're in there.

There's actually a lot of cool stuff in them, typically speaking. And they're always fun little treats for the kiddos when they're good. :)

I'll send this one to all who have requested the email version. :)

I thought Disney was Orlando....:rotfl::rotfl:

That's Lake Buena Vista, thankyouverymuch. :lmao:

But yeah, the grab bag would have to be citrus, alligators (not allowed on board last time I checked), Disney, or something redneck-themed. Maybe I can pack up some chewing tobacco and a gun rack in a pretty bag.

Don't forget the Confederate Flag! No Florida gift would be complete without one!

I'd love to cheese curds but those really are best fresh and a week is not fresh.

My DH had a friend that would bring him back bags of cheese curds every time he went home. Then my DH changed companies and no more cheese curds. But wait Wegman's grocery store arrived on the scene bringing cheese curds. He's a happy man.

If it works out, my grab bag items would be rare DCL related things. If it doesn't work out, it will be things from Maryland.

What cruise?:thumbsup2

I reserved a spot on RCCL Oasis for next August. I'll be reading over the next few months to see if I want to go through with it. It sounds like a lot of fun things to do on the ship. The kids are excited. My concerns are things I heard about which would include making reservations for the evening shows. It just might be too much planning for me. The guys are interested because they will be scuba certified and this cruise will give them places to scuba.

I'll bet before this cruise is over the kids will want another DCL cruise. It has happend 6 times after that first cruise, which frankly had some issues to the point that I thought I'd never do another DCL cruise again. But the following year my best friend got the FL rate at the time we were to be in WDW, so we went on the 4 day with them. The price for the kids was something like $150 each. DCL redeemed itself and we were hooked.

When my son decided to join us this year, I gave the kids the option to change to the RCCL Freedom class ships since they had been wanting that experience. The response was "just one more Disney cruise." I didn't want to do RCCL without my DD having a buddy with her. After having freedom on the DCL ships, I knew she would want that on other ships too. I just wasn't comfortable without a buddy. We'll see.

Shirley (Dizzyworld) took pictures of our cruise meet on our last cruise (I think they are posted here somewhere) and I love looking back at them. We had a blast, and really got to know a few people. In fact, part of the reason for choosing this sailing, besides Tortola, was Dizzy's DD and my DD had so much fun together, adn kept in touch with each other afterwards. They also met anouther girl - DD was trying to convince her to go on this oen too for a reunion!! :rotfl:

I think it will be even more fun this time because last cruise was a 4 day douple dip which left VERY little on board time. It was my biggest complaint. So this time, i am taking full advantage of ship time!!

Worked on the FE gifts last night. SO we are now at close off right? Noahsmom - is the front page list updated and correct now?

How many are doing the gift basket? I am deciding.

Remember the picture was for the guy who had to cancel trip the day before or so because his dad became so ill. The guy was the one who designed the shirts and we wanted him to see all the shirts.

We like 7 days more than 4 too.

Gift basket or grab bag?

We also had an oddly mediocre Disney experience. But we've since shrugged it off as being the B Team, since all the A Teamers who we've known from various other visits were off on vacation at the same time. After Carnival even a B Team cruise sounds lovely. :)

Funny! My sister lives in Albuquerque and whenever she comes here for a visit the 1st place we stop is a local bar so she can deep fried cheese curds. We don't eat them very often. DH likes to go down the the farmers market on Saturday mornings and get cheese curds. He always buys them from the same people. They are guaranteed to squeak!!

OMG, Wegmans . . . we used to live in Rochester, NY and I just LOVED Wegmans. A little pricey, but oh, what a store! When friends and relatives would visit from out of town we would actually (I kid you not) take them to Wegmans as part of our little hometown tour thing! We've lived here in Duluth, GA for 7 years and I STILL miss Wegmans. Publix and Kroger just don't compare!

OK--- I have to ask. What are cheese curds?????? :confused3

They are the squeaky delicious fresh chunks of cheese before they are pressed into hard cheese.

I had no idea what they were until I went to school in the midwest and the parents of Wisconsin students would drive them down.
