Just wondering.........does anyone have a good source for a packing list? I know there are DCL ones floating around........:surfweb:

I downloaded and saved the one off the FAQ board. I emailed it to you!

Congrats on the pirate!

OMG, Wegmans . . . we used to live in Rochester, NY and I just LOVED Wegmans. A little pricey, but oh, what a store! When friends and relatives would visit from out of town we would actually (I kid you not) take them to Wegmans as part of our little hometown tour thing! We've lived here in Duluth, GA for 7 years and I STILL miss Wegmans. Publix and Kroger just don't compare!

Believe it or not Wegman's is cheaper on most things compared to other grocery stores in our area. We also take people there on tour. :lmao: It took me about 6 months to go through the entire store. The first few trips I was so overwhelmed I hardly bought anything too many chocies. :dance3:

Well, I'm no expert, but that looks promising to me! Why don't you give DCL a call just to verify? Oh, and I think you should go buy a lottery ticket today, too! :)

BTW, I have a DD9 hoping to make friends on the cruise . . . we'll keep an eye out for you at the sailaway party!

Jamie

I have 9 yo boy/girl twins that will be in 4th grade.
Jaegar and Trinity

Also, it is correct that you can only make DINNER reservations online at Palo while brunch and high tea at Palo need to be made at the Rockin D Bar upon boarding?
Thanks

We're trying to hook up my dd9 and Jamie's dd9; four 9 year olds is even better than 2! (Well, unless you're locked in a room with them during a tween meltdown, I guess.) Our dd9 is also going into 4th grade.

At this point, you'll want to make all of your Palo ressies on the ship -- the pickins are very slim online.

8576 is a cat 4 - the link above is a review of the room - it was the only review I could locate. You might also want to send Magic3forme a PM as they stayed in that room last year according to my search.

8576 is definately a cat 4, I was in that room on our first cruise and loved the location so much we picked it for our next cruise. It is just a few steps away from the elevators and stairs leading to the drink station, Topsiders and the pools. I found it very convenient, especially when our kids were little and I would run upstairs and bring breakfast or lunch down to the room as they rested. Compared to the suites and other rooms further down the hall the noise from deck 9 wasn't noticible. You will love the room.

Thanks to you both, and SweetSpot, I could hug you for your post. I had a complete freak out last night when I read the one and only review of that room, and it said it was noisy. So I searched every post on the DIS about the stateroom, and eventually concluded, before passing out, that we were good to go. But seeing your post about your experience makes me feel even better. :lovestruc :worship:

I do love the idea of being so close to a coffee pot and Diet Coke. I'm not sure how I feel about being that close to the chicken strips. My fruitarian youngest dd will be very happy to be right underneath the panini/fruit bar, though. popcorn::

Yeah! More 9 year-olds! The more the merrier! I'll send you a pm and we can get the kids talking!

The smell is incredible. LOVE, LOVE walking thru that store. We don't grocery shop there, but whenever we drive by (about 25 minutes from our home) we stop. EXCELLENT soup/sandwich area. Baked goods ain't too bad either. Also their Chinese bar....yummmmmmmmmmmmmmm.:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Diet coke and Coffee are MY favorite drinks (well, let's just put it, NECESSARY drinks) too!:cool1::cool1::cool1:

I won't complain about being close to the chicken fingers, either. Or the paninis. Or the chicken fingers.

Or the chicken fingers.

Phew... Finally finished most of the painting, aside from some quick touch up. The best (and dorkiest part) is that the room has a hidden Mickey. :)

For anyone who, like me, is planning on spending some time making FE gifts this weekend, this may come in handy:

I feel strongly enough that I factor them into the cost of the cruise. For example, this cruise is only going to cost us about two hundred bucks when you factor in all the chicken fingers I plan on eating. :thumbsup2
