Hey all, I'm sitting here waiting for my car to be fixed.......only 18 months old and it stopped 4 times on Friday in "stop and go" traffic.......I was freaking out! So now, hopefully, it will be fixed at the local car dealership........wish me luck!

I'm torn about ordering a Shirley basket for Noah. We always have and he really likes them. But we end up just leaving all the sand toys at Castaway Cay. It's too hard to try and pack them. It would be cheaper to just buy the sand pails at CC, but not as special.

OK, here is Lucy's idea - since he might expect a gift (you do NOT want to start off the cruise with a sad and disappointed child)....have other things in the basket, and then buy the toys on Castaway?????? or have little sand toys in the basket instead of a large bucket....

3 weeks from today (does this sound familiar) we'll be getting ready for brunch!

I know what you mean... this is our 2nd DC and I had one of the "Stateroom Celebrations" for the kids on our first one. I am not sure what to do for this one... I thought about a basket, but not sure what I would put in it... too old for "toys", don't need snacks etc. I may do one of the sail-away ideas through DCL. The chocolate tower looks like something we would all enjoy.

Noahsmom - when do you get to the port? Might be cheaper and easier to go to walmart or publix and stash them in a carry on. You could then throw some candy in, and leave it in the room. I have done that occassionally.

I see you ahve all been busy!! We're back - never did go throw Kutztown this time. Actually had to drop a girl in harrisburg on the way home, so went that way. had a great competition. She did really well in most of her dances. Glad that's all over though!

FE is almost complete. Will be finishing up tonight. I will post pics as soon as it is done!

I just spoke with Shirley. She's so nice! I ordered the sand pail, she is customizing the treats/beverages that go inside. I added on fancy pirate sword too. She was chatting with me about the trip and when I mentioned we were coming over early to go to KSC she got all excited and is going to put some space items in his basket too.

I'm glad I decided to do this, and I know that Noah will be pleased also.

Oh - and funny you guys should mention twinkies. At the dance comp, there was a little girl, probably about 11, staying with one of the other girls. We were talking, and she told us she never had a twinkie!! We had to go buy her some!

I'm 42 - I've had 1 twinkie and 1 pop tart. My college roommate discovered I had a deprived childhood and made me try them. One is enough for this lifetime.

DH and the kids like them, but then again - they also like marshmallow peeps and cotton candy... yuck!!!

Hey everyone. I have been absent for a while. You all have been VERY busy. I have traveled for work several times and just had no time to check the boards.

My college graduate daughter just accepted a job but the draw back is she has to move from TN to WV. She is very excited, but DH and I are somewhat sad. I know it is time for her to grow up and stretch her wings but it is going to be very hard. She went to college in a town that is 30 minutes away from home. We are very blessed because they wanted her to start training the week we go on this cruise. She talked them into delaying it for a week.

We received our FE in the mail on Saturday and it appears that we got ours from the same person several others did on this thread. We LOVE it.

I have started deciding what to pack but it seems to overwhelm me!!

Can't wait to see everyone in just 19 days.

Congrats on your DDs job........we had a similar situation when my second DD decided to go to U of Miami after doing her undergraduate studies close to home........she can't come with us on this cruise and has already been studying in her new program for 1.5 months.....
