Thanks for everyone's prayers and well wishes for my mom. She's a pretty tough lady. The first time she went through the chemo, I was away in college. I knew about it, but when we talked, she never really talked about it, and I didn't know how hard it was on her. She really didn't want it to distract me from studies. The realization that she has now relapsed was a big shock to me and hit me pretty hard. But then I realized that this is not the time to feel sorry for her and the family and myslef. This is the time to celebrate the time we've had and still have together. So here's to a great summer for the girls to spend some time qaulity time with Grandma.

Best wishes, you're looking at it the right way........:grouphug:

Ok, here's the most recent info on the day charters.......

After talking to my DH, we've decided to go with the Kuralu day sail trip to Jost Van ****. The price is about $90pp give or take $10, I'm still working on this one. I've asked if we should just make one stop to White Bay Beach (home of Soggy Dollar Bar and a beautiful beach) or if we could also go to Great Bay. They're getting back to me tonight. I think it includes transportation, soft drinks, beer and lunch (I have to double check on that but I should know tonight.) I know some of us expressed interest but that was back when we were talking about the Baths. I'll have more info tonight but please PM me if you're interested b/c there's only 20 people maximum.

We've also decided to go St. John for the day to snorkel. It will cost between $50 - $70 to include ferry shuttle to St. John, snorkel equipment and snorkeling on the north side of the island. This one has a maximum of 28 people for two boats, about 14 each and includes only soft drinks and beer.

If anyone is interested in either of these trips please PM me with a total number of people and whether or not you need snorkel equipment for the St. John trip. I will share more info as I get it.:woohoo:

In case you missed this earlier today..................

OK I got a FE by the Macavity method (ebay). So we can be added to the list. We're in room 6076. Now to get to work on the FE gift.

Thanks, Virgil. But I gotta say I'm stumped by the "PD" thing. In our State Department world, that means Public Diplomacy, and I can't quite get that out of my head to consider what else it might mean. Can I get a little help?

Shew... its been too long, but its time for me to check in again.

bigAWL, I'll keep them in my prayers as well and as for the PD, I was thinking Police Department.... but I'm pretty sure in terms of disboards its Pixie Dust:tink:

I'm not sure about 'expert'... maybe novice

QUESTION FOR PEOPLE HOW BOUGHT SHIRTS:

Has anyone gotten the shirts with dates from cafe press? Do they actually have a gray box around them in person or is that just a glitch in the pictures online? I cant figure out why that one has it and the other one doesnt.

Shirt without date
Shirt with date

:confused3

Sorry, I did mine w/o the date so I can't help you. I really love them, thanks again for organizing it!:confused3:banana:

I'm having a senior moment and can't remember but I'm pretty sure they didn't have a box. Can check when I get home from work. If I remember :scared:

Pretty neat that almost everyone that signed on to this forum is also participating in the FE. It is going to be an exciting week.

Well, since we upgraded and added a person yesterday with the florida rates, yesterday we had a GTY room, this afternoon the GTY changed to room 6088.

Did some research, overall, this seems to be a nice room to be in.

Noahsmom, was someone in your group in one of your cruises in this room?

We are 6 doors down from StarWood

I'm trying to decide what to do about trip insurance. For our first 2 cruise we used what Disney offered. It wasn't until the end of the last trip that I realized due to preexisting conditions my mom and I would not be covered. I'm not really worried about covering this trip since we booked with points all we would be losing is the 95 dollar fee no insurance is going to cover the points. I am concerned about next summer as I'm not going to Europe w/out insurance. I've got health insurance that covers me where ever i go nobody else in my family does though. Any suggestion about where to find trip insurance?

What kind of insurance are you looking for? I would think your travel agent should be able to help you. Usually, any kind of "special" insurance is a bit of a rip-off.

We used insuremytrip.com. They let you compare lots of different options. Then you contact the company directly. This is how we got our trip insurance for this summer. Good luck!!!

Aaron and JoAnn #2, prayers and pixie dust to your family. :grouphug:

Do we still have 35 FE's?

How many people are doing the Grand Gathering at Epcot the night before we leave?

So we almost finished packing-out today. But just as they were going to start loading the crates, the sky got all dark in the East. Then huge billowing clouds of red dusts appeared on the horizon. It was amazing to watch them. It honestly looked like a huge raging fire pushing smoke and embers into the air - instead it was red dust!!!!:scared1:

We got everything back in the house just as the storm hit. The air was thick with dust - you could hardly breathe!!!

The movers were bummed that they couldn't finish, but I joked that it was just the Burkina dust coming to bid us a final farewell!!! :wave2:

But once the rains came about 30 minutes later, the air cleared out and the temperature dropped about 20 degrees. But then it rained or drizzled for the next hour, making it too wet to actually load the crates.

So, one more day of movers!!! (But that means one more day out of the office! - I am sooooo checked out!!!:rolleyes1)

We leave on July 3rd to head to Disney. Is a cutoff date been made? We just do not want to leave anyone out in the F.E.:sad1::eek:
