I just found out that our school secretary has passed away yesterday. She was only 46 and just found out that cancer had returned after she overcame it 13 years ago........she was a blessing and a ray of pleasantness:hug:.......please keep her family and 4 daughters in your thoughts and prayers the next few days.....

Oh, JoAnn! :sad2: Only 46...that poor family.. Such a sad ending to your school year and for the school family as well. My heart goes out to everyone touched by your secretary. :grouphug: Secretaries are the main artery of the success of a good school. I know she will be missed in more ways than one.

:grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:

Looks like the new menus are starting on this cruise. I can't wait to see what the changes are.

And Gale - I'll tell you what I tell Matt - how do you know you won't like it until you've tried it.:rotfl:

I think I read somewhere that they are starting on June 20th? So we should be able to hear what people think over the next few weeks!

There is a thread on the cruise forum that people who got off on Saturday were given the old menus and told the new menus were starting on this cruise. I can't wait to hear about them.

Good Morning Everyone!

DS heads off to Texas A&M Galveston for a week of Sea Camp. I think his sister is more excited she will finally get to be an "only" for a week. This is his first camp, deprived kid I know. He's spent time at the grandparents, so it's not like he's never been away from home. Some camp, they're living in air conditioned dorm rooms...:rotfl2:

Does anyone know if there's a decent - kid-friendly beach within a reasonable distance to the dock in Tortola. It doesn't have to be walking distance, but shouldn't be on the other side of the island. We have a mid-day 2 hour excursion (really screws up our day!) But I promised the girls, so I can't back out on it. Seems like such a waste to go all the way to Tortola and not see any beach.

Thanks!

Don't know about the Tortola beaches- I'd be interested too - my brother and his wife are just playing the ports by ear so, I'm feeding them (hopefully) useful information when I can find it.

I wonder if Cruise Critic has more information?

Kelli/Noahsmom, am I remembering right that it is your son who plays lacrosse?

If not, this question is for who does have a son who plays lacrosse :)

Would your son be interested in a lacrosse team t-shirt swap?

Last night we had a "birthday party" for my girlfriend and I, our birthdays are a day apart, (and technically my DH too - his is the day after mine) Her husband will be out of town next week, so we did it a bit early.

Fried Catfish and Fried Shrimp yum! DH also made Guy Fieri's (Guy's Big Bite on The Food Network) championship potatoes - they were so good!!!

All of our kids are very good friends, so it was a fun evening for all. We pulled out a bunch of glow sticks and everyone including the adults had fun being silly and playing with them.

I know there's lurkers circling - Joanne????!!!! :confused3 I just know I"m going to do all this work getting close and it's going to be snatched out from under me...

Being lazy this morning - DH isn't scheduled to work tech at church, so we're relaxing, churning out the laundry to get ds prepared to go to camp this afternoon.

kids got their report cards on Thursday, there was much rejoicing, after all my worry over Algebra, ds pulled out a B!!! :cool1:

DS survived his first week of HS Marching Band camp, standing and playing for 4 1/2 hours straight and oh yeah, horns at a 10% angle up, feet turned out. He's one tired guy! Push ups for all if someone messes up, the one who messes up stands and watches. He was very proud that he, nor the trombone section caused the band to do pushups. Of course, he's not too tired to stay after to play ultimate frisbee, or head to a movie with the band. Just to tired to do work around the house...:rotfl2:

Worked out at the Y yesterday, 1st time in a week. I made the mistake of stepping on the scale. DD has been baking cookies all week - Good but not helping....
