Hi Cindy

(I'm Cindy D., and I'll be traveling with DH and two DS's (ages 11 and 9 3/4 when we go). We booked every excursion through Disney so we won't have to worry about missing the ship at Port (my boys asked me this morning again to make sure that doing it through DCL means they'll wait the ship for us).
there were some highly reputable companies recommended.)

Cindy, I understand that and that why I have booking with dcl excursions as I feel safe as three of us are deaf. Afraid if, we do it on our own, we might miss the boat!! We thought better booked with dcl than sorry.

Also we are first seating well, never thought about excursions. 6.15 pm ah well, we will go topsider if we late back!

I see that we have same booking to Rome, Florence and Pisa, Marsellie too:thumbsup2

I have 10 years old son and hope he meet up your sons.

Cindy, Carol and other

I am looking forward to meet you all.:thumbsup2

Sandy

I have read in another forum that dcl don't allow 2 excursions in one day.

Depend what you are booking at.

But I have booking two excursions in one day as one morning and one evening in villefranche.

Hi Sandy and welcome to the DIS! Glad you found your way over here.. princess: Who are you traveling with? I am with DH and two DD's 24 and 21 year olds.

I think Scottishwee is right about not being able to book two excursions in one day. The one she did however, in Villefranche is probably the evening excursion to the Casino in Monte Carlo. That I believe is fine to book two in one day.

Regarding Palo - I think the 7 pm ressie will be more than enough time for you to finish in time for Sailaway that evening (9 pm). We will be watching the early Med cruises carefully for details such as this so that we know how timings work out, etc.

Am I missing anyone??? If so, let me know and I'll add you to the list!

Here's where we were a few months ago -- if you're not on this list and want to be, post your info or PM me and I'll add you. If y'all know anyone who has dropped off, let me know and I'll take them off... I haven't had a chance to go back through and add everyone.

Sandy - welcome! I noticed when I went back to look at excursions after I booked, the only ones that would come up as available to me were for the days that I have morning excursions planned (vs. all day) and I could only see the afternoon excursions - so I guess they have it so you don't book more than one excursion for the same time period.

We haven't done Palo, and DH is less than interested, so we'll pass again.

Carol - I hear ya about not overpacking. I've started thinking about what to take, what I currently have, what I might want to buy. Thinking, too, of which days we have all-day excursions and won't be onboard to do laundry and what days we have the afternoon to do it. Making sure to take clothes that will cover my knees and shoulders for any excursions that go into churches. I think though that I'll wait until I've lost some of my weight (on Day 4 and going good!) before I start my actual packing list -- but I'll be working on my pre-packing list this weekend, I think. Camera, passport, etc.

Cindy, would you please add us to the list?

Andrea,

I've used the DCL Birthday Celebration for my son's birthday. You could get the stuff cheaper at a party store...but my son got a kick out of coming into the cabin and seeing it decorated for him!! I plan to do the same this year for my other son!!:cheer2:

Cindy please add us to the list too:

Isbel (mom), Henry (dad), sons (17 on the day we sail!!), (15) & (9).
From Florida
Cabin: 7??? i forgot have to look it up!!:cheer2:

Misbel,
Thanks for that info, I think I will book the bon voyage package as i think my DD would find it exciting and a great start to the holiday.

Nzdisneymom,
I have also be on a diet for 4 days now and seem to be doing quite well. I hope to loose about 21 pounds between now and the cruise date, I thought that seemed like a realistic goal.

Thanks for all your hard work setting up the cruise list, it is great to know the names of some of our fellow cruisers :thumbsup2 .

I have also been thinking about packing I have almost all my DDs clothes but have not really started on myself. I am thinking I will leave it for a few weeks and hopefully I may need to buy smaller sizes if I keep up the diet :rotfl2:. I have started to organize my toiletries, camera, money etc though.

We will be celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary on the cruise. I arranged our air to arrive on the 15th so that we'll actually be in Barcelona on our Anniversary. pixiedust: I plan on setting up something as a surprise for my DH, perhaps have our cabin decorated, but at least let our server know about it at dinner one night.

So glad to have found the board, :yay: it helps to hear what everybody else is doing to get ready for our cruise. Would love to meet up on board.

Sandy

Sandy

Hello Andrea

Ah, I see that you had mention about bon voyage package, sound good:thumbsup2

Remember take photo of it:cool2:

Regarding dieting - I should be doing one also but just have been too hectic lately to do so. Hedging on buying new bathing suit mainly because I would prefer to buy a smaller size this time. Oh well...

I was noticing on the Med Thread there are people who are taking one of the Repo cruises and also one of the 10/11 day before or after as well. I am so envious! We could never swing that one I am afraid, though.

Tractor broke down yesterday so we went out last night and purchased a new John Deere. You would think we had a farm, but no. Just a nice corner size lot. Have a good day all!

Welcome Sandy and Misbel-

Hi to all and congrats on all of your successes with excursions. Cindy, I hate to admit it, but Rick and I are a year older than originally on the list.:rolleyes1 We will certainly be interested to meet and say hello to everyone, especially since many of us have DS's around 9 and 5 years old.

We were able to get the few excursions that we wanted....
Herculaneum
Lucca Treasure Hunt
Nice and Monaco
(We are doing Rome with a private car through Italy by Limosine).

I am always most excited about Palo dinner and brunch. Already thinking about the fabulous food and service there.

Off to work out...still in Team fitness for the Mediterranean Diet:scared:
