July 17th Celebrations?

Since Disneyland is having a birthday on Friday AND Marty Sklar is retiring that day...any gossip on celebrations planned for that day? I'm driving from the Wine Country on Wednesday night and looking forward to 4 fun days in the parks. Would love to celebrate Disneyland's birthday on Friday since I can't celebrate my own there in Sept.

What is the rededication ceremony?

Nevermind. just went to the D23 site and it explained it. The event for D23 is sold out. Any other thing going on for this Friday?

They usually have a rededication ceremony on DL's b-day whenever it's not a 40, 45, 50, 55,...etc. It's small, nothing special, but I get teary-eyed every time.
