We're finally going to be able to renew our AP's in a few weeks. I REALLY want to go to DL on the actual birthday since I had to miss the 5/5/05 kick-off. So we'll probably be there, will you? :earsgirl:

Not on your life! I'm sure it would be neat - but I'd never pay the money to travel there (we don't live in CA) to do nothing but fight crowds and heat!

I was originally going to make reservations to be at Disneyland for the official 50th birthday on the 17th of July. However, I learned my lesson by going over the Christmas holiday last year. What I learned is I can't stand LARGE crowds. So I made my reservations for the week after the birthday. But I hope all who's going has a good time and to please tell us all about it on this board. :earboy2:

We'll be there! I have no delusions of doing anything other than stepping foot in the park and maybe walking around a bit that day, but we'll be there!

We had a B@LL on the 5th, and with the crowd then, NO way we will be there on 7-17-05 :rotfl2:

Have FUN !!!

You betcha I'll be there. I'll be perfectly happy sitting on a bench all day. I might have to go get a FP for Space Mountain though. I was there on the 5th too.

No, but i will be reading Harry Potter! I certainly will haunt the internet and read all about it (after i finish Harry Potter)

We will be there July 14th -17th ( we leave for the Magic on 7/17) but hope to at least step foot into the park on the 17th

My 2 kids & I will be there. But my husband refuses to go, because of the crowds. Secretly, I didn't want him to go, becuase he would just complain the whole time and ruin our day.

The kids & I can handle crowds and we will have the unlimited Fastpass feature on our tickets, so we will be able to do a few rides.

We are mostly going to say we were there on the 50th & don't really expect to do much.

Come heck or high water we will be there. I have been looking forward to being there for this birthday for a couple years. I KNOW it will be nuts. But WHO CARES!!

My DH and I will be there! We have the "Walt" package so we will start our day with breakfast at dawn on the Mark Twain!

Thanks for all of the info - now it rings a bell!! I read about that awhile back, I think Mary Jo may have posted info about it or something. It sounds like a lot of fun, and how memorable it will be! I hope you have a great time.

Maybe you could report back to us on how the events went? While I'll be there that day, I certainly will not get to experience all that you will have the chance to! :goodvibes

If it's the same Mary Jo (MJ) that I know, she is in the Walt package WITH us!! I expect it to be a great time (it sure had better be for that kind of money - LOL!)

Suzi

That's the same Mary Jo I was referring to! How funny! Well then I hope you ALL have a great time! :earboy2:

I was there on 5-5-05!!! Won't be there on 7-17-05 as we will be in WDW. That reservation was booked almost a year ago - not knowing the 50th really started on that date. We will see what WDW has to offer for the 50th since we have seen DL's.

I'll be there, fully expecting the crowds and frenzy. I was at WDW on Walt's 100 birthday, and I'm looking forward to being at DL for its 50th birthday.
