Happy 4th of July!!!​

Hi - Hope everyone had a safe holiday weekend. Our family had a nice quiet weekend with family. Went out for our 21st Wedding anniversary (dinner & a play) ,saw Bewitched the movie(cute but not for kids), babysat for Dbro & Dsil, went shopping, watched fireworks...AND started my pre-cruise housecleaning . Can't go on vacation with a messy house, can't get the suitcases out til there is room to put them.

Noticed someone from the 6/25 cruise posted some of the menus from the Magic. Thought some here might miss it so here's a link to the thread:

We are getting more and more excited!!!
I think one thing we need as new cruisers (if you haven't already gotten one)
is the over the door shoe holder. They seem really handy.
I finally got my tote and have started putting things into it. They will let you bring on opened bottles of say tylenol and tums? I don't want to have to buy all new ones.
We still need to do a little more shopping but have to wait for the money. Next payday. 3 days before leaving. Whatcha gonna do?
Are you wearing the lime green shirt?
I actually have one. And I bought dh a green shirt to wear. I told him we should wear them. He doesn't know about that.
Dh has been on the site everyday since I showed it to him. He won't write anything but he reads and reads.
I told him we need to be early or late to bet the rush of people. I know you said you are getting there at 10:30. Not sure yet about us.

Hi Janice - Good new thread. Our family is also doing El Cid in Mazatlan and so is Roger & family(Goofyonthehighseas) if I recall correctly. Cabo we have the Horseback riding on the Beach, have only seen 1 review and not sure if it is worth the $$$ or not.

Hi Michele/MGM61 - Yes we have our overthedoor shoe hanger and much more. I think the open container rule is only for food and drinks not medicines.

Roger/Goofy - Great you got t-shirts done! I'm working on a design for my family and extended family. Did you guys do green shirts or ? Also working on door signs and name tags also.

Debbie/Cherta - How is your DH doing? Hope all is healing well.

Donnetta - When do you & yours head this way? Are you staying on a DLR property?

We finally received passports for DH and DD13/Megan today, know we don't need them this year but figured we might as well get them. Has everyone else gotten their docs and room assignments yet? I'll post an update of our "crew" list later tonight.

No DW (Cherie) did not go for the green tee shirts but did go crazy with the small mickey iron-ons on plain white tee shirts. We have our door sign on the backs. Mickey Stuff Yes we are still planning on going to El Cid in Mazatlan. Have been checking the weather reports. Tropical storm Dora is going up the coast right now. Thunderstorms in PV and Mazatlan. Hope all is well with Scott, Debbie. I guess that our out of town Disers will be leaving in the next week. Hope to hear from everyone.

Oh NO Tropical Storm DORA???!!!.....I am the caregiver for my 91 yr old great-great aunt named Dora. She will get a kick out of "Tropical Storm Dora". Of course that's not great for the current cruisers.

Well everyone we found out today what cabin we are in... persistance pays off I guess... My mom called the DCL people and they were able to give us the confirmation number so we can see where we were going to be. It says we have cabin 2024... looks like we're neighbors with Roger's family! But I am confused on the type of room because it says it's an outside stateroom, and a cat 9, on the DIS website (where it has the layouts of the ship) but then it says on the disney website that it's an inside room and a cat 12? Does anyone know how to figure this out? LOL Roger (and family) what do your docs say? Will we have a window? Are they outside rooms? I am so lost... newbie syndrome I guess! Thanks guys! woohoo only 10 ten days until my birthday and 11 til we leave! YES!

Bethany---We leave next Thursday and are staying at the Disneyland hotel.

Michele----We have not smuggled anything on other than cokes, but I have read where others Disers bring wine and have wine parties in the 7 aft section. I think if you only bring enough for your own personal consumption you will be alright.

Roger----Great pictures of your shirt and bag. I think I will make us some too.

Debbie---We need a hubby update. Does he still have his patch?

2024 is a Cat. 9 Ocean View stateroom according to the DCL book. It says some sleep 3 and some sleep 4, so I would assume that yours will sleep 4 with the pulldown bed over the sofa. You will have a porthole. Hope this helps.

Yes thank you so much! I was so confused because the docs from disney say its something different but it says 2024.. thanks... i was confused on this whole deal. I hope I am not sounding too stupid here... I just don't know what I am doing or looking at and I'd rather ask y'all than assume.

I designed them then put them together at cafepress.com. (got the website from another Disboard group) Put my order in today, should have them by this weekend.

I LOVE THAT SHIRT!!! Bethany that is the cutest thing! I was trying to get my mom to make some but who knows if we'll make it by then. You should have designed them and then sold them to people on our cruise... that way we could have had official shirts I wish I could have seen the other shirt people were talking about, it wasn't showing up on my screen for some reason. Can you message me and let me know about how much that would cost to make shirts? Do you just send email them your design and they print it? Let me know please. Thanks!

Amber - You are very sweet! You can do two things...#1 you can make a copy of the design (save it to your computer) and then if you have a good printer you can get transfer paper (maybe from a fabric store or Michael's Crafts store) and iron the design on your own t-shirt OR #2 Here is a link to where you can order one from http://www.cafepress.com/cruisestuff >There are a couple different styles I did up my family. If you want one with your name on the front and design on the back...PM me or post on the thread and I will make it up so you can order it. I ordered and did the faster service option...1day to make...2 day shipping.

Hi Michele - Thanks, yes I did the design and then uploaded it to Cafepress. They do the shirts with my design but then I have to purchase the shirts from them. I didn't make them to sell just for family and any friends who want to order. We will definitely wear them the first day.

So is anyone else thinking of going to DL the day before (the 16th) our cruise? I know Donnetta and family will be there. We are staying in San Pedro Saturday night and we thought we might go to DL during the day. Not sure how bad the crowds will be?

Hi everyone!!
Bethany - I love the shirt - you're very talented. My version of crafty is cutting out the green home depo mickey heads without cutting off an ear!! : I have a sister who is just like Martha Stewart, so my DD just laughs when I try to do anything. You should see how I painted her bathroom last weekend. Lets just say there's a lot of purple in places where purple wasn't intended to go!
Anyway, getting very excited here in Denver. Planning a big trip to Target this weekend for all the necessary supplies. I'll start packing then.(We also have a birthday party to get through before we go). Still unsure about what to do in Cabo. I'm thinking we may still take the Santa Maria sail and snorkel, but just not snorkel. Kind of depends on the weather, I guess. Have a great day, all!
