Whoo Hoo!! 7 weeks!
Happy Memorial Day Weekend!!!

Quick question while we are on the topic of wardrobes.
There once was a time when my DD would eat, breath, and sleep in a princess dress up outfit......sadly not anymore.
On princess night, what do your girl's wear?
DD is 9.
It's just a prince and princess menu. Nothing special with the princesses and people wear typical cruise casual dinner wear. I've seen some girls have n princess dresses any night! Mine just wore hers for the meet and greet.

Hi,
We just booked this cruise with my mom and her husband. I am taking my two DS - 12 and 16 but husband is staying home this time. It's really a treat for my mom because she's devoted herself to caring for my 95 year old grandma for the last year. She and her husband need a big break and time to relax. We've been on several Disney cruises before and know how wonderful they are. Our last one was Norway last year and it was amazing!

Also, I would like to join a fish extender group if there is one open. Just for myself, DS12, DS16. No gluten, peanuts or dairy for us :-(

Hi and welcome!!! I'd love to add you! The list is second post on page one and you will be in the daisy group! Do you have a cabin number I can add?

Has anyone been to these islands before? Wondering if we will find things to do without excursions? Also, is it usually possible to just wait and book them on the ship if we mostly want to do beach and maybe snorkel stuff?

I remember reading about the iced tea on board, but I don't remember what it said.
Anyone have an iced tea opinion? Is the tea good or that nasty stuff made from carbonated water or from a bottle????
Through the beverage dispenser it is usually nasty but in the dining rooms, it's fine.

OK, I'm starting to rethink our original plan of eating dinner at the first seating. It sounds like everyone is doing the second seating for dinner. I was worried that 8:15 would be too late for my 5 and 7 year old, but now that I think about it, I don't think I want to go to an 8:30 show with kiddos falling asleep. I'm seriously considering changing to the late dinner. Any thoughts????

We have always found it convenient to do the late dining because otherwise we have to rush to get ready so early and with all the food options available during the day, we aren't usually hungry enough for a 4-5 course meal until later.

Hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend!

Head out to WDW in only two more days with DS for his HS grad trip so gonna get some Disney fix before we sail. Will do my best to make the 4 10 day bucket post on time but might be a bit late so apologies in advance.
I think I posted this before, but if not and for those that may have stopped by here after I did her is the PC webcam link. Check it out on Saturdays between 4:30 & 5:00 east coast time to watch the Fantasy sail out of port.

Passing an email we got last night from DCL. This is a change from the past as there has not been a character breakfast in a while on 7 night Caribbean sailings and tickets for Princess Gathering and Frozen Meet & Great were not available to book online. I will pass on whatever else I get but thought that this would help anyone who may want to watch for this to become available.

We are pleased you will be sailing with us soon and want to share with you some additional information about your cruise vacation.

Very soon we will be rolling out the opportunity for Guests to pre-book a special character breakfast and two of many meet & greet opportunities with our world famous Disney Characters online. As a concierge Guest, we wanted to make you aware of this change and let you know that we have already secured your tickets for these offerings that include the character breakfast, a Princess Gathering and Frozen Meet & Greet opportunity during your cruise vacation.

No action is needed on your part at this time. You may decide once onboard if you wish to participate in these experiences.

The email I got from my travel agent said booking would be available online beginning June 6 -- just FYI!

My 15-year old son says he is "too old" for character breakfasts, so we will leave seats for those of you with younger ones (or who are young at heart like me!). :thumbsup2

PollyBrit, I'll paste the email from my travel agent here for you. I interpreted the note to indicate it was a ticketed event for crowd control -- not that there was a fee (but no fee would be very un-Disney-like! :rolleyes1 ). Anyway, here's the note:

Good Afternoon!
Beginning on Monday, June 6, 2016, you will now have the ability to pre-book meet & greet opportunities with Disney Characters through your My Cruise Plans section of disneycruise.com at the same time you are able to complete your Online Check In!

Sailings 7-nights or longer that feature at least two sea days, will also feature the opportunity for guests to pre-book online a special character breakfast.

Similar to Port Adventures, Guests who have not pre-booked experiences prior to sailing may check availability once onboard.

Guests interested in pre-reserving tickets for the Princess Gathering, Frozen Meet & Greet or Disney Character Breakfast during their cruise vacation, can visit the My Cruise Plans section of www.disneycruise.com on or after Monday, June 6, 2016, to pre-book these experiences.

Please don't hesitate to let me know if you have any questions at all.

Until then...

Have a Disney Day!

Hope that helps!

Will these come with a hefty price tag do you think?
In the past the special character meets did not have an extra charge. They just use tickets to better control crowd levels for the most popular Princesses Gathering and Frozen Characters. It would be a zoo lining up an hour in advance for Frozen.
Since breakfast meals are included in your cruise price, the character meals should be covered. It was this way in the past and again, the tickets are likely to control crowd levels and keep it a bit more organized.
Last, since the concierge service already reserved these for us without asking they must be free / included.

That's fantastic!!! It was a pain last cruise to rush to the port adventures desk and get in a long line to get tickets. I'm so excited we can do this ahead of time! Thank you guys for sharing!!!!

We did not get this email, so do you know if this is something that is only being offered to concierge level, or will everyone have the opportunity to pre-reserve online?

As concierge, sorry, they automatically reserved us tickets in advance so the on-line should be open to everyone on Monday June 6th. DD & FSIL have a separate reservation, both are linked, so I have emailed asking if they reserved tix for all 5 of us or just the 3 of us.
