Hello Everyone!! I am new to the group and very excited for our cruise. This will be our 4th Disney cruise in the last 8 years (08, 09, 12 all in the Magic - this will 1st time on the fantasy). There are 5 of us traveling from Maryland. My husband Mark and I. Our oldest DD (19) who just finished her freshman year of college, our middle DD (17) who just graduated HS and our DS 14 who just ended his freshman year of HS. We love cruising and cannot wait to be back onboard!!! Love that my kids still want to cruise Disney at their ages!!!

I've just been reading a really interesting thread about FE gifting; people were sharing ideas and some of the gifts they liked in the past, and they were talking about how some fe groups apply restrictions like no dollar store, favorite characters for each person, and basically how some become a pinterest competition to see who can spend the most money or be the most crafty..... it doesn't seem like our cosy group here is like that at ALL, and that makes me happy As a first time cruiser this for me is going to be about walking around the ship with my younger kids, delivering surprises, and getting super excited when something is in our pocketses! Whether it's a pencil, or a hand crafted personalized whatsit, my kiddos are going to love it, and I can't wait to see them get excited about giving, not just receiving! So whatever you get from us, know that it will be something my son thought looked awesome, or my 14yr old helped me make (taking precious time out of his important video game!) Or my 3yr old held in her chubby hand and wanted to keep for herself haha! But most of all, I hope we can all simply have fun and excitement, with no expectation of a certain value or expert level of pinterestiness!

Being a newly wed were still trying to figure life out so money isn't something that comes easily to us and part of our fish extender is hand made by me. im excited to just have fun and see what it's all about

It's all about fun! My kids LOVED this! And they loved the little pirate trinkets and candy just as much as the fancier hand made stuff! The whole idea is to have fun and don't stress. I know any gift will be loved and appreciated by us as it's the spirit and thought that matter, nothing else! Coming back to the room and finding something is so much fun!

So....no stress just have fun all!!

I third this comment! We are not new to Disney Cruises, but this is the first time participating in FE (my DH saw one on the last cruise and thought it looked cool... I don't think he was aware of what it actually was!). And then I was stressing about the "rules"... What to give, how often, and the like! But, I think it is what you make it, so I'm going to make it FUN! This will be our first seven night cruise, so I am really looking forward to all the time at sea!

I am finally getting around to putting my FE gifts together (so excited)! I have different gifts for some of the kids because of their ages. I know that most FEs have family names on them, but since we don't have the names on our FE list, I'm not sure how to distribute them. I've tried to PM a few members on the list (Minnie), but the messages won't go through. How is everyone else distributing gifts? Are you just putting DS 9 on them and hoping they will get sorted out?

Good question. I think I will probably do just what you stated. I know most people have kids on the FE in order of age so I kind of guessed last trip!
