July 16, 2016 Disney Fantasy, Eastern Caribbean

For our first cruise, on the first day we were eligible, I logged in just after midnight to do online check in and book our brunch at Palo. (Yes, I am that crazy a planner!) I was able to get my first choice and as I recall, I had several time slots to choose from. It pays to be a "planner" :rolleyes1

Can you refresh my memory of when first timers can book

Couple of questions. Is there usually more than one ship at castaway cay at a time? Also do you feel obligated to do book a port adventure at every port? or is there a port that you should just kick back and relax at?

Only one ship at CC at a time. One thing we have found is that if there isn't an excursion that we want to do an option is to get off the ship and check out the port area. Shop, grab lunch or a cocktail and then back to the ship to enjoy the less crowded status while in port.

Hello everyone! Somehow I didn't get notifications of all the posts in the past week! Glad to see chatter here!

Finished my fish extender gifts, paid off the cruise and our 2 nights at wdw before. Now trying to plan our mk day. Won't be long before excursion booking!

Hi Shipmates! Just asked to join the facebook page. It's going to say Frannie Levy (my daughter) since I am not cool enough to have my own! This is our 6th cruise and the 2nd with my husband only (even if we just found out our middleson's internship ends July 8) I am looking forward to sailing with all of you and can't wait for my Palo brunch and Remy dinner

Welcome disneycrazy43! So happy to have you here!!

Edited to add welcome back...I see you posted in the past...:) My brain is slow this morning!

With it being 120 days, platinum castaway club and concierge guests were able to book and we got all of the requests we wanted including snagging a cabana on CC and wrapped up on-line check-in stuff :D
Hope everyone had a great St Patrick;s Day and speaking of St Pats makes one look forward to a cold beverage at O'Gills Irish Pub on the Fantasy :shamrock:
What excursions did you guys decide on? So exciting. .makes it feel more real!

Good grief -- you have been busy! I bought my outfit for semi-formal night -- but that's all! I'm underachieving here!! :worship: I better get busy -- Happy Easter to you and yours.

Wishing everyone that celebrates it a happy Easter weekend

For Tortola we are doing the Jost van Dyke beach day. We decided on on drinking the famous painkillers at Soggy Dollar bar and just chilling vs potentially needing to take painkillers from hiking / climbing at the Baths :rotfl:
For St Johns we picked catamaran sail and snorkel. Also snagged a cabana at CC and booked Palo diner on formal night.

Madzac, how exciting! We had considered a day or two at WDW before sailing, but I just didn't know how to tie those 2 events together smoothly. Are you staying in a close resort? Did you set up the Disney transfer to the port?

We are! Its actually a surprise for the kids and its killing me to keep this to myself! We fly in Thurs the 14th and are staying two nights at art of animation resort. We are going to magic kingdom all day friday, then will take private transfer to the port on Sat morning. I wish the disney bus transfer didnt leave so late as we would take that, but we like to be at port early and board early if possible!

Our first two cruises we didnt do wdw at all... we did a beach day the first and this last one we stayed at the hyatt night before. Both were great but I tell you what, I am so stinking excited about going to MK. Our last trip was 2012 so its been awhile!

And congrats on booking how awesome!!!!

Hi, I only posted once....I'm back on. I realize I am really, really far behind in planning. I need to get cranking on my FE's. :guilty: Luckily I have my mom, JerseyBernie who has been super planning and keeping me updated. :thanks: I am getting very excited!!! Our kids have no idea. It will be a surprise!!
Btw, my DD will be 9 on the cruise, not 10. My mom accidentally said 10 when signing us up for our FE's---room 9162. I don't think it makes a difference at all but just in case.

I fixed it!!!!

And you aren't behind at all lol! I'm just a crazy planner! ;) ;)

I'm loving all the chatter as we get closer....I was just thinking that 16 weeks from right now -- 8:30 p.m., well, I think we'll be watching a show (we're early diners). The countdown is getting so real -- wooohooo!!! :hourglass

Hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend.
