Thank you for the warm welcome! The boys are counting the days which as of yesterday was 175 days, to which Bryson the 5 year old says " mommy that is a long time, like 100 years!"LOL not quite, but close enough little one.

Our cabin number is 6104.

So a little advice, I'm not very crafty so making an extender is out of the question. What's the best place to get one? Etsy?

I got you added to the list for group 2! My kids say it's forever too...but it was 400 something days back when Ruth and I first started this thread!

I got our FE on Etsy several years ok. There are tons of cute options. We hang ours in our kitchen and put things the kids need to take upstairs in it!

Our intro...we are a family of 6, me Tracy, DH Adam DD14 Maya, DS11 Tristan, DS8 Josiah and DD5 Tessa. I have been a lifelong disney fan. The kids are quickly being converted. My husband doesn't love it nearly as much and much to my chagrin doesn't love the crowds of wdw. We tried a cruise 4 day Dream in 2013 and it was the best vacation ever! The kids cried leaving and said they'd rather skip a vacation for a year to go on another cruise, even over the parks! 2015 we did the Magic western and loved it again. I'm missing the parks but was over ruled by my family and we chose this one. I'm very excited but we are sneaking in 1 day at the magic kingdom first! I can hardly wait!

Anyone doing anything to count down yet? We do monthly movie nights. One kiddo picks a movie and I try to theme the meal around it. We did jungle book over the weekend. It's always fun!

Oh and Polly we did a brief meet and greet before the muster drill last time. It was cool to put faces with screen names and fun all week to run into people! We became good friends with one family and even though they live in Canada we were able to meet up with them this summer! They are also cruising with us this summer (Disneywells here) and we can't wait! Our girls text all the time!

I've gone through serious withdrawal since I was an AP holder and love all things Disney. I've been to Disneyland once and it just depressed me, it just doesn't compare.

My whole family still lives in Orlando so we go once a year and stay for 3-4weeks. We did that this past June and did 3 days at the park, the first time for the boys. They loved it as much as I did. We ate at Cinderellas Royal table, met all the characters BUT it was BRUTAL. I know all the tricks in the park so I had the fast pass thing down and shows in between but that sort of led to this cruise. DH didn't want to do it again...too hot. Sooooo, I said, well we can do a cruise....after a little nudging he agreed. Now he's excited.


It looks like Tessa is the same age as Bryson. Both of my boys are very gentle spirits, not the usual rough and tumble, so most of their friends are girls. It's so funny to get all these birthday party invites and they are usually the only boys invited.....

Looking forward to getting to know everyone!

Oh can I relate!!! My DH actually did enjoy the cruise...it allowed him the good food he loves and more down time...so it gives me my disney fix and makes him pretty happy. I know our MK day will be brutal in July too but I'm hoping he can deal! I'm happy my kids love it and sounds like your boys do too!

Funny my Tessa is the ONLY girl in her preschool class this year...her best buds are little boys right now!

I hadn't realized you could choose custom colors and fabrics. Says it take 6-8 weeks to get so I'm glad I started now!

I've looked on Etsy, and I've seen a cute generic mickey pocket organizer on amazon for $9, and I've decided to get creative and come up with something of my own! Not sure what size the pockets should be but I'm sure there must be plenty of discussion about it on these boards somewhere! So at my door you may come across a haphazardly stitched diy creation!

Good morning! I was confused about the FE list and wondered if JerseyBernie could clear this up for me? I made a list of who I neew to do FE gifts for, based on the 1st post which shows this:
2. JerseyBernie- 9652- Mom, DS(adult)
3. Also cabin 9652, separate FE DD(adult), DGS7

This made me think 2 people in the first room - a Mom and an adult son, and then 2 people in the second room a Mom and a 7yr old boy, but looking at your post quoted above, are there actually 8 people in your party, spread over 2 rooms?

Please help! I'd hate to miss someone out!

So sorry for the confussion:

Yes, in Cabin 9652, we are 2 Families, from 2 Different Households - Me and my adult son then My Adult Daughter and Her Son 7 (My Grandson). We listed it this way so that when planning for FE Exchanges, everyone would know we are 2 Seperated Families and will be participating as 2 Families, giving seperate gifts.

Cabin 9162 - is completly seperate with my other daughter and her family.

Clear as mud, right? Again, sorry for the confussion. Let me know if you need more info.

Happy Sunday all. Stopped by to check in and trust all that have been in the path of thhe winter storm are safe and warm today. Not what hit the east cost here in Nashville, but 8" of snow on top of a sheet of ice with all the hills was just nasty.
Saw folks doing intros and I wish we were still with younger kids but we get to do different things now like dinner at Polo and beers at O'Gils with our troop. It will be me, DW & DS (19) in one cabin and DD (21) and future son in law ( 21) in another. Wedding is not until June 2017 when she is done with school. He is in the Navy stationed now in San Diego. This will be one of those not sure the next time we will all be on vacation together as DS will also be heading off to college this fall. For all the Dads out there, and Moms too, enjoy every minute with the kids / family as they do grow up too quick. Also wishing the Dads all the patience in the world for when the DDs start to date

Sorry to hear about your winter storm I'm here in California and it's 59. That's cold for me lol. It's just me and my fiancé, soon to be husband, on the cruise. I will be 26 and he will have just turned 28 the week before. We are going on the cruise as a late honeymoon. I'm actually not far from San Diego. My fiancé was stationed at Pendleton when he was active duty. I can't wait to be on this cruise as its my first one and work is so stressful lately! Looking forward to meeting all of you!!

I understand about snow. I live in Baltimore with our lovely 30 inches. I'm starting to get stir crazy after 4 days stuck inside. However it allows plenty of time for planning our cruise. I think I've planned every detail possible and we still have 6 months!

We are a family of 6 and next summer kids will be DD14, DS 11, DS 8 and DD 5. We are from Iowa. This will be our third cruise...we did the Dream in June 2013 and just did the Magic March 2015. Both were such wonderful trips we couldn't wait to go again so rebooked and settled on this week!

We will definitely be in for fish extender exchange and are SO excited to check out the Fantasy and the Eastern ports!

Welcome! I would love to add you to our list! Do you know your cabin number? FE is pretty open...you can do individual gifts or a gift for each cabin. You deliver one time during the cruise, whichever day you wish. There are lots of idea threads on the dis. Some people make gifts and others buy, whatever you wish! Ask if you have specific questions!
