**JULY 11, 2010*** Double Dip Wonder!

Thanks for the warm welcome, we booked this on our Sept. 12th cruise. I have a small dilemma perhaps you all can help me with. We're not a big fan of Nassau, and looking for a new excursion. I'm fine with sitting at the adult pool and enjoying the boat, but the kids 14 & 18 will want to go off the ship. Any ideas?

Jack

Another idea is the Segway tour. We did that last time and it was a blast.

We booked it independent and they provided transportation.

Lots of fun.

Good morning everyone!

We sail in 40 weeks!

We're very excited about double dipping next summer especially as the weather is starting to turn already and had to run the fireplace today ! Good day to stay in the basement and work on ideas for decorating our state room door !

And another welcome, welcome, welcome....:goodvibes

It does not say where you are from, but I bet NOT Florida, if you had the fireplace on --- brrr......

Waiting for Southwest to open their July bookings for the return trip....or else everyone may be stuck with me for a while!

That is marathon weekend. Sharon is running the half on Saturday. I'll be doing Goofy which is the half and then the full on Sunday.

I'm thinking Sam and Irene may also do the half now that they have run RFTT 3K. :thumbsup2

Hum, I will try without triggering a deletion from the moderators as a political comment. After all this is a cruise thread. And we cruise on the ocean, the fish live in the ocean, we dive and look at the fish, and we (or some of us) also dine on the fish. Ok so there is a linkage...

The concern started over red snapper. Some scientists were concerned that the numbers were not right and that the older fish were not being found leading to a conclusion that the red snapper was being overfished. Let me hasten to add that others disagree, including the fishing industry which say that the red snapper is being caught in good numbers.

One proposal would close a portion of the coast for 6 months, others extended the ban for a year.

Recently another proposal surface to ban a variety of species of all grouper and snapper for a long period of time (I have seen eveerything from 15 to 35 years). I know of a bill to delay the implementation of the ban until a study could be completed, but I do not know the status of that bill.

Is this the question?

Yes, thank you. And sorry, I wasn't thinking of the political aspects. But I think we're pretty safe talking about fish. Too bad they just can't separate the older ones from the young ones. Now wouldn't THAT be a job!
